I have operated iTunes for many years, and this is a first. The new update cannot locate my burner software. What to do?
I'm on hold to apple support right now, Michael, to ask a similar question. I was able to back up itunes and mail, but no documents either in pages or in word. what are you doing? Fred

Seems, iTunes can't read your backup anymore. Copy the backup folder to a safe place before you delete the latest backup from the list in iTunes/Preferences/Devices
The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

After you deleted the backup from the list, try again to sync. -
My ipod can't be recognized on my computer and i have the latest updates.
I have tried everything, i just got a new computer and i don't have the software that came with my mini ipod but I installed the latest versions that are on the site but my computer only charges my ipod it doesn't recognize it so i can't put any songs on it

I tried the following:
1. Call up Apple Service Centre, they advise me to find another computer which can "re-format" the Ipod.
2. I went back to Apple Store - where I bought the I-Pod.
They plug that in the computer in the shop. It recognised there and the man told me he has just formatted for me, but back home you need to format that again. (He didn't tell me how to but simply ask me to follow the prompt)
3. Back home, place the Ipod set up disc in CF Rom Drive. Up to the stage where it says, "Please plug and see if your Ipod needed to be formatted". Tried to plug the Ipod with USB Port.
4. NOTHING SHOWS IN WINDOW - recognising there's new hardware. Ipod Menu shows up and Ipod shows it's charging. After 10 seconds, it said CHARGED COMPLETED.
COMPUTER COULD NOT RECOGNISE the IPOD AT ALL.
I am really frustrated now and don't know what to do.
This IPOD Mini is my 2nd replacement.

I have recently bought on ipod touch 4g, Ive downloaded free apps from the app store and after about a day or two, i cannot open them, i click on them and they take me back to the home sceen. the only way ive been able to geet round this is to fully reset and redownload the apps but that only works for another few days.

Is your apple tv also up to date?
Are they both on the wireless network, or is the apple tv using an ethernet cable?
Reboot your wireless router, your apple tv, and your ipad, in that order. -
I can't open my iPod library in iTunes, the app doesn't show the device at all, no error message, nothing, but windows 8 opens it like it would a flash drive. It has worked for me before just fine and both have the most updated software versions. HELP PLEASE!

Error 3194: Resolve error 3194 by updating to the latest version of iTunes. "This device is not eligible for the requested build" in the updater logs confirms this is the root of the issue. For more Error 3194 steps see: This device is not eligible for the requested build above.
Are you trying to restore to a PC or an Mac? Either way, I'd remove iTunes, empty the trash, restart, and download/install the latest version. Also, check the versions of OS that the latest build of iTunes will work with. -

I lost my play list, when trying to use Home Sharing, So I turned Home Sharing off and sync over WI-Fi off, and tried to sync my original play lists back. That did not work. So I decided to do a restore (I need to clean up anyway) I have the latest update for my iPad, but iTunes keeps trying to update my iPad and its taking up to 20 hours to do it, then it fails. This is very irritating seeing as I work with these products everyday as I am IT support for my company. I have tried different cables both USB and Ethernet and WI-Fi. I have tried each one of my computers that are authorized; laptop, mac book pro, and my PC. Please give me a solution.

I can't upgrade my MAC os from 10.7.5 to the latest available .
Usual way of software update does not help.
Keeps saying you have the latest update .To get beyond 10.7.5, you must go to the App Store and purchase an upgrade.
