Itunes cant connect to my speakers

For months my Itunes has worked perfect to play via 2 Airport Express and 1 Airport Extreme.
All the green lamps are green - but Itunes comes up with a error code ( 1501 I think) that Itunes cant connect to my speakers. Itunes preferences are sat up to find my extern speakers.
Strange because it has worked so great and I have not changed any settings

Check your firewall?
System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall
Also, under Advanced, make sure something didn't check "block UDP"

I have the next problem.
i have airtunes and when i go to itunes i see in the right bottom corner the external speakers but when i choose one it cant connect. i don't get any error or something but it keeps trying to connect but nothing???
who can help me.
everything seems correct because when my neighbour try's to connect with his laptop it does work???
i have itunes 9 and windows 7??

ITunes cannot connect to remote speakers / Airport Express

Hi Guys
This is a quick post with a problem & solution.
I've been searching for ages tonight to find a solution to my problem:
'iTunes suddenly cannot connect to my Airport Express Speakers" and could not find one answer on here, only a mixture of replies all over the net.
So, just incase some people are still looking for an answer:
What I did...
1. Go to System Preferences, Network.
2. Click Advanced, on the TCP/IP tab, set "Configure IPv6" to Off.
Open up Airport Utility, go to the Music tab, set a password (I did this just for the sake of seeing whether iTunes noticed that the Airport was now password protected, then atleast you know it's talking!)
3. Open iTunes, go to preferences.
4. Click on the devices tab, untick "Look for remote speakers connected with Airplay, Allow iTunes control from Remote Speakers, Forget All Remotes.
5. Close iTunes
6. Open iTunes, retick "Look for remote speakers connected with Airplay, Allow iTunes control from Remote Speakers, Forget All Remotes.
7. Connect to remote speakers worked!

I just tried what you said to do, i had it in Automatic, but when I momenterely switched to manual the fields were all blank so I left them that way and turned on to automatic as you said and left it in auto, then tried to change itunes speaker to remote airplay and it didn t work.
so i don t know what else to do, I read alot about this in the last few days the bug seems to be related to the newest itunes upgrade and with the presence of the IP6V not turned off completely.
in the old system one could turn it off completely, now the off button is gone.
there are work around using terminal, I tried that but it doens t recognize my commands, so it didn t work either.
anybody has any idea?

HT4587 I can't locate airport express icon in itunes to connect my remote speakers wirelessly, can anyone help please?

Can anyone help please? I am trying to connect my remote speakers to my i-tunes library using Airport Express. Everything is connected and working using mt OS device (Ipod Touch 5th Generation) that works fine. I have tuned on home sharing and it says in itunes preferences that I am paired but according to the light on the airport express base station I am not connected to my existing wi-fi network. I cannot find the itune airplay icon anywhere in itunes nor can I find the network link by hovering my pointer of the network connections as suggested in the instructions that came with airport express. Would apprecaite some help please you can give. - thank you.

hmmmmm.
i'm not trying to get rid of you here, but it might be worth also checking-in/reposting over at the Airport for Windows forum. when Airtunes things get sticky, i generally defer to iFelix or RJ in WI, and they spend a lot more time over there than they do here.
(traffic is so heavy in here at the moment that this thread might be buried out of sight before an AirTunes guru gets to see you.)

1. Make sure Time Zone is correct.
2. Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software
3. Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station.
4. Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
5. Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.

ITunes cant connect to air port express but iPhone can

The title pretty much says it all. When iTunes tried to connect it just says "connecting to "Josh's Speakers"" and times out after about 60 seconds. It works fine steaming from the iPhone though.
I've tried chaning the name of the air port and enableing/disableing a password on the device but nothing is making a difference.

So, one computer connects but all other devices fail? This is due to user error I'm afraid. You need to switch bridge mode to DHCP&NAT.

I'm getting very annoyed. Last night I bought an Ipod Touch for my son's birthday today. Tried to set it up last night...no go. I figured I was just tired and thought to try again this morning. I hooked the Touch up to my PC (running WIn7 Ultimate), downloaded the latest ITunes and set up "my" Apple ID. The fact I had to use my Visa was another annoyance. I set up HomeShare on his and my PCs and figured I'd activate the IPod from his PC, because it said on the acct. page that you could activate the acct. on only one computer. I plugged it in and got the " usb to itunes" image on the ipod screen, opened Itunes, checked for updates and it was the latest version. It said I have activated it on 2/5 PCs and before I could do anything else, I got the error message: " iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)" which pops up everytime. Still haven't seen the "app screen" on the ipod. I must say I'm rather disappointed with Apple after hearing how good it is. Doubt if I'll ever buy a Mac PC. They seem to be worse than MS for proprietary bs. If I can't get this working soon it's goin back.If anyone has had the same problem, I'd appreciate any feedback Thanks.

ITunes cant connect to the internet to retrive 1.2 iPod update

iTunes says that i need to update my 30GB video to version 1.2 but when i try it says im not connected to the internet, even though i can use the itunes store just fine.

I am having the same exact problem as the author. iTunes Store works fine, although when i try to download the iPod Update v.2 from iTunes, it says:
iTunes could not connect to the iPod software update server because you are not connected to the internet.
I don't understand why this is happening and would like to know why. Is there anyway I can get a direct download of the update some where on the "internets". Thanks for any help.

I have tried everything on support and nothing works. When i plug the iPod touch in it charges but comes up with (itunes could not connect this iPhone because an unknown error occurred(OxE800006B)) and i don't have a IPHONE whats wrong i still have warranty do i have to send it to get fixed? and also it has once found my ipod buy came up as iphone and i couldn't put movies why does itunes think i have an iphone apple!!!!!!

I was able to download Itunes to my computer, but every time I try to get it to connect to my Ipod Touch it says there is no connection and to check the connnection to the internet. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Trying to download new iphone 4 update and itunes cant connect to server?

Im trying to download the new software and my itunes keeps telling me it cannot connect to the server, it this a general problem with itunes or my computer? Also is it worth downloading the new software?

Start by working through the suggestions in this Apple support document. The cause could be any AntiVirus or Security you have installed and running on your system.

Hello everyone,
I know there are endless amounts of posts about this problem but...I have tried all the recommended solutions. I think my problem is different. I just recently uninstalled Kazaa (a file sharing program) and it uninstalled my peer to peer program also. I have tried to download a new one from microsoft.com but it tells me that i already have the newest version on my computer. I am still getting the "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was refused. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again" error. I am running Windows XP and Comcast cable high speed internet. I have never been able to get this to work so I have yet to use my iPod. Please help!!!

Moving iTunes Library to an external drive. My itunes cant connect to the library

I have tried to move my iTunes Library to an external drive. When I open the iTunes app i can not get the app to read the library on the external drive. I have gone into iTunes preferences and redirected the app to read the external file and I still look as though I have a "New iTunes program" with no music, apps, videos etc.

If you moved the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder, hold "Option" and launch iTunes.
Select "Choose library" then select the iTunes folder you moved.
You do not need to change the iTunes media folder location in iTunes prefs > Advanced.
