What do you do if you purchase Itune cards and the activation code are unreadable. How do I get the codes these are two $50.00 cards.

I have for the past three and a half hours have been trying to redeem my itunes gift card. It is for $25.00 and I need to purchase a book. My card is unreadable....The first letters and numbers are fine but the middle....looks like four numbers/letters combination is missing and then the last four digits are fine. My daughters friend had created an iTunes account to use her gift card that she received. Now she hasn't use her account or card in a while and now has forgotten what it was. Click "iTunes Cards and Codes", then on the email link
On the next screen, one of the options is "My code is scratched off or unreadable"
