Itunes cd covers

I just had my motherboard replaced and when I go to my itunes playlist it says that "itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer" Any idea why this is coming up.

The only thing I can think of to tell you is to uninstall Itunes Re-Download it.
Best thing is to do is save it to dest top then re-install itunes & then Add folder to itunes & see if that works. Thats all i can tell people are having very strange problems with itunes. Sense changed your motherboard your system configerations changed, is this the only problem you are having with your computer because may wind needing to re-install everything that is on your computer.

  • ITunes Match - Covers werden nicht aktualisiert

    Hallo,

  • Screen Saver of itunes album covers.. choosing album covers from playlist??

Is it possible to have a screen saver, like the one in preferences which combines all your album covers from itunes, but instead choosing the album covers from a playlist?

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a few questions.
How would the screen saver know which playlist to display album covers from? If it is selecting covers from all of your playlists, how is it different from a screen saver which shows you all of your album covers?

  • ITunes Album Covers Missing

I just completed the software update for iTunes 7.6.2 (9) and now all my album covers show an icon with a broken chain. When I click on album cover view iTunes crashes.
    Any suggestions or fixes? Thanks

    Hi,
I 've been having the same issue.
One thing I noticed was that it seemed to be like the missing albums were the ones purchased with a different Apple ID (mine but from a different country)... Then I realized that (as you said) it was rather arbitrary since the recently bought ones are either missing or just fine.
But most purchased with a diff ID are missing album covers.
I myself have 4 country IDs since I lived shortly in diff places.
I wish Apple was less constraining regarding this, but I guess it's got to be due to the music houses' rules and conditions...

  • Itunes album covers I import are fuzzy, jpeg-quality.

I designed this great, high-quality, crystal-clear album cover at 600x600 pixels for an album of music I made (.png format). I got the songs, added the album cover for those songs, and synced it to my ipod. It looks great on itunes, but on my ipod, it's a bit fuzzy or blurry, and the picture has those jpeg-type markings on it. I tried changing the size to 900x900 (still keeping the entire image sharp) and even changing the file type to .jpeg, but alas, no increase in quality.
I've imported album covers before without this problem. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
    Thanks in advance.

It has been my experience that iTunes and iDevices don't always like resolutions above 72 ppi. That may not be the case here, but I suggest dropping your album cover down and see how it looks to you. Other than than I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions.

  • After last upgrade my itunes album covers dont match the songs.  any ideas why?

after last system upgrade, the album covers do not match the music.  I called apple, they walked me thru something that did NOT work.  I delete the music, then readd...get the song with dotted circle....what does this mean??  The info is correct in my itunes under get info and then album art work.....

Did you select the playlists to sync in itunes under the music tab?

  • How can I sync my iTunes Match covers to my iPhone?

I have recently found new cover art for many albums and replaced this art in my iMac desktop iTunes 11 files.  However, the new art will not sync to my iTunes Match enabled devices (such as my iPhone or MacBook Air).
I've tried turning Match on and off on all devices to force a refresh of the contents.  Nope.
Unlike the problem reported here in some posts, iTunes is not changing my new art back.  I retain the new art and see it on the iMac, but nowhere else.
Also, the art which will not change is not restricted to albums which ITunes matches with its online motherlode.  Some is music which is not matched and therefore has uploaded. I presume, therefore, I have control over all that metadata, but the original art I added to these music files years ago persists.
I suspect that removing these files from iTunes and then re-adding them might force a new look, but this could take me weeks of work.  It seems that any updated metadata info ought to be synced to the iCloud without such a laborious workaround.
Can anyone suggest how I can get iTunes Match to sync all my artwork?  Thank you.

  • How to I keep iTunes from covering my hidden task bar?

Is there a way to keep iTunes on the windows OS from dominating so that I can't see my hidden task bar?  This is very annoying as with iTunes open, I'm not able to switch programs using the the task bar.
I know I can do Alt-TAB and other things, but I don't like iTunes always on top!  I don't use it to watch TV or Movies on, I use my apple TV for that.

I found the button for IPOD options in Itunes, which appears on the lower right hand corner of Itunes ONLY when the IPOD is plugged in (recommend Apple looks at having it always there) and unchecking the "start Itunes automatically when Ipod is plugged in" box. If you have an IQ over room temperature, your computer doing things automatically for you is usually just not a good idea.

  • Why won't all my album covers in itunes 10.5.2.11 synch on my 4th gen itouch.

About 10 of my album covers won't load from itunes to my itouch, when i try to reload album artwork it says album artwork not found but yet the album cover is there in itunes. these covers loaded on my old first gen itouch but i just got a 4th gen and like i said all the album artwork does'nt load. Anyone know . Thanks

i figured it out myself. I went to amazon.com typed in all the albums that i was missing art work and right clicked on the album cover and saved them to my computers hard drive under pictures then dragged them one at a time into itunes were the album art was missing and it saved them. Then I resynched my itouch and now I'm all set. Hope this helps others.

  • Wrong album covers can't be deleted

    Hi
I have stubborn wrong album covers that can't be changed or deleted in my itunes library / covers view. The Info-> Artwork view is ok! They only show up in the covers flow..
    Fixes tried:
delete artwork. replace artwork, add artwork, move song to desktop - delete in itunes - reimport (nope)
The same album cover shows for several different songs/artists, I think it's just one - that was grabbed by itunes "get album covers" (and can you imagine how annoying it is to see "robbie williams escapology" for a bunch of alternative music songs..)
    Ideas?

    Thanks Rob,
I had similar problem, where the Cover Flow artwork was not even close to the artwork. I went into iTunes info, as suggested, and unclicked the box "Part of a Compilation". So, far I've had to go in to each incorrect song separately. It was frustrating me, until that great suggestion. I would track down the CD artwork I wanted; it would show up correctly in the Now Playing window (lower left) in iTunes, but the Cover Flow was way off...the crazy thing was I couldn't find the incorrect artwork in the iTunes artwork window...it would be blank; even when I dragged the correct artwork into that window, it would NOT override it, UNTIL I discovered The Secret! Again, UNCHECK the box labeled Part of a Compilation. I tried grouping 2 or more incorrectly labeled songs, but that didn't seem to work. So far, it looks like you can do it, but it's ONE at a Time. Thanks for the suggestion. If anyone found a quicker way, do tell...I've got thousands of tunes to pour through.

  • Family sharing and iTunes credit

    hi all,
my partner has set up family sharing and I have joined it. I understand that one credit card is used for all members (although I think this somewhat daft). My problem is that I only ever really use iTunes vouchers. I have just trie to purchase a film and it is telling me the family sharing organiser needs to authorise my purchases for the joint payment method. Firstly I don't want to use the joint payment method, my iTunes credit covers the cost and secondly I don't want to have to wait for someone to accept something every time I want to make a purchase, but I do want to share my puchases. Is there any way around this and when she accepts it is it going to use my store credit?
    thank you for your comments.

This is my account info for iTunes & AppStore:
This is the payment info in iCloud Family Sharing settings:
Obviously I was able to change the payment info in iTunes/App Store. What do I have to do to make that carry over to iCloud?

  • Using same iTunes library with external hard drive (EHD) on different PCs

I know some of the issues related to this question have been touched on in different discussions but I don't think I have seen a clear yes/no and if yes, here's how, answer to my queries, so here goes.
Like another member, I would like to take my iTunes library with me when I'm away on holiday so that I can (for example) use an Apple TV with Home Sharing to watch movies in my library or pay albums in my music library while on holiday, in the same way as I am able to at home. I have a Samsung NC 10 notebook running Windows XP (which I would take with me with a Samsing Story EHD) and a Dell desktop. My iTunes media folders are now on the EHD and I think I have iTunes library files on the Dell and on the Samsung. Of course, if iTunes Match covered movies as well as music, I would use that and just take my Apple TV with me ... but it doesn't and seems not likely to.
By messing around and not properly understanding some of the discussions about this topic, I think my iTunes library looks as I expect it to be, on my Dell - though I have yet to test this by doing a synch with my iPad or iPod Touch. However, when I plug the EHD into the Samsung and open my library, I am missing at least one movie and I don't have any artwork showing for any of the movies. This is inspite of clicking Get Album Artwork, Consolidate Files and clicking to add, as a file (or folder) to the library, the missing movie which is on the EHD in the Movies folder of the iTunes Media.  In iTunes on the Samsung "Preferences>Advanced", the iTunes media location (on my EHD) is correct.
I have obviously messed something up trying to replicate my Dell desktop iTunes library on the Samsung. So:
can/should I start again (if that is the best thing to do) with getting my iTunes library properly on to my Samsung notebook? And, if yes, how do I do that?
is it really possible to have all that you need to run and use iTunes on an EHD (i.e. both media folders and the various iTunes library files (.itl, .itdb, .xml etc.)) so that whenever I plug the EHD into my Dell or Samsung I can access my iTunes library in the same way and via the same files? Or, do you always have to have the library files (at least) located on the PC you are connecting your EHD to (showing my ignorance here! )?
if you can have all the library files as well as media on the EHD (i.e. all of your iTunes library), I assume there is more to moving these from the C drive in my Dell to the EHD, than just cutting and pasting them into the EHD and then deleting similarly named files in C drive in the Samsung?
if all of my iTunes library can be located in the EHD, would I just access that (i.e. open my iTunes library) - whether on my Dell or the Samsung - by pressing the Shift key when clicking on iTunes as a programme on my Dell or Samsung, or - and I appreciate this is more basic computer knowledge than iTunes query - does the fact that I would need to access iTunes via some form of link on the relevant PC indicate why some iTunes library files would always have to reside on the PC rather than the EHD?
if the iTunes library files have to stay on the relevant PC, how can they be kept in synch - i.e. the more portable Samsung offering the same access and picture of my iTunes library as the Dell does - or is iTunes just not set up to do this, in which case I might as well ignore trying to replicate my iTunes library on the Samsung?.
Apologies for this long list of questions. Any pointers to where the answers lie or even better specific answers themselves would be very much appreciated.
    Many thanks.

I think that's yes, yes, yes, yes, and not necessary...
    Make a split library portable
Here are the typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
In the layout above right, with the media folder (everything in the red box) inside the library folder, the library is considered to be portable. A portable library can be moved from one path to another without breaking the links from the library to the media, and being self-contained it is much easier to backup and restore. (You do backup, don't you?).
You can rearrange things to make a split library portable by taking a number of small steps which don't break the library.
Before you start any media files that are outside of the media folder will need to be consolidated. If the library is in the old style layout then it should be upgraded to iTunes Media Organization (Library > Organize Library > Rearrange files in the folder <Media Folder>) to ensure that iPod Games, Mobile Applications etc. are brought inside the media folder, otherwise the links to these won't survive changes in the path of the library.
    The basic non-fatal manipulations are:
You can create or connect to an alternate set of library files by holding down Shift (Win) or Option (Mac) when starting iTunes. (Note iTunes will continue to use this library until you use the same method again.)
You can move the library files to a new location and connect to it there as long as the media stays put.
You can move the library files and the media together if the media folder is a direct subfolder of the library folder.
If you have already moved/copied the media content from a subfolder of the library folder to a different location then you only need to copy the library files for it to appear as if you have moved the entire library in the way allowed above. I.e. just copy the library files into the parent folder of the media folder.
You can rename the media folder to iTunes Media (if it isn't already) if the media folder is inside the library folder.
iTunes uses the name of the folder holding the library files as the window title. Having made a library "portable" you may need to take a final step of renaming the library folder to iTunes or, if the library files have ended up at the root of a drive, moving all of the library files and content folders into a new folder called iTunes.
IMPORTANT: After each change you need to open, test and close the relevant library before attempting another change. If a change broke the library, undo it or revert to using the previous set of library files.
In essence all you need to do to join up a split library and make it portable is copy the library files into the parent folder of the media folder on the external/secondary drive and use the hold-down-shift/option-when-starting-iTunes method to connect to it. Other manipulations may be required to normalize the library so that the library and media folders have standard names.

  • Upgraded lastest version of itunes, now ipod touch will not sync. My ipod is recognized by my computer and will charge, but itunes does not recognize it.

I am not tech savvy, to say the least. But the latest versions of itunes and an upgrade for my ipod touch popped up for an upgrade, so I upgraded both. Now, my ipod touch (purchased in 12/2010) is not being recognized by itunes. My computer picks it up and it will charge, but nothing else is happening. I have tried resetting the ipod...but that didn't help anything. What else should I do? I keep seeing info about uninstalling itunes....how does that work and will all of my files (music and apps) be ok?

General troubleshooting for unrecognized ipods in Windows is mentioned here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1495
Start by checking Apple Mobile Device Service: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
Removing and reinstalling iTunes is covered here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
As mentioned in this article, reinstalling iTunes will not delete your music and apps, but backing up is always a good idea.
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. See how to back up the contents of your iTunes library in How to back up your media in iTunes.

  • IPhoto and ITunes

    ILite9
Where are IPhoto Photos and ITunes Music stored on the HD
If I transfer to an external HD can I still see them without 10.5 not installed on the external HD
    Richard

Your photos are stored in the iPhoto Library, which is in your Pictures Folder.
    To move an iPhoto Library:
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
Moving iTunes Music Covers the system for iTunes.
If I transfer to an external HD can I still see them without 10.5 not installed on the external HD
    Yes.

  • The covers of my movies are the wrong ones

Hi, when I try to watch a movie on my iPad 1 using Home Sharing from iTunes, the covers of my movies are no longer corresponding to the right movie. This happened after upgrading iPad 1 to iOS 5.0.1. It takes forever to find the movie I want to see because of the wrong covers. There seem to be a random order also, so with aprox 100 movies it takes forever to find the right one.
This does not happen on my iPhone 4, which is still iOS 5.0.
does someone know why this is?

You will need to get it serviced.
