  • HT5035 Redeemed $10 gift card. Then gifted $14.99 album to a friend and it charged my credit card the total and did not use the gift card balance!

The gift card was supposed to be charged first, then the 4.99 to my credit card. Now I have an unused $10 gift card, which I wanted to get rid of, and got charged $14.99. I want my money back and I want the gift card used instead.

It's not supposed to. Gifts will always be charged to the credit card; the gift card money is for your use and nobody else's. This includes the purchase of gift cards and certificates, and money used for an iTunes allowance.

It may still be 8 holding charges to chec - each holding charge is $1, so the amount would tie up
As with many other merchants, the iTunes Store and Mac App Store places an authorization hold on your payment card account for the approximate amount of any purchase you make. Similarly, if you update your billing information, the iTunes Store or Mac App Store will place an authorization hold on your payment card account, usually in the amount of 1 USD, to verify your account information.
But you can contact iTunes Support via this link, especially if you are getting a message to contact them (we are fellow users on these forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT1918 I cancelled a payment through PayPal. How do I update the payment for that charge?  I looked at my payment information and it has my credit card information.  I'm not sure where to update the PayPal part of payment.

I cancelled a payment through PayPal. How do I update the payment for that charge?  I looked at my payment information and it has my credit card information.  I'm not sure where to update the payment that was associated with my PayPal account?  I am not sure what that paid for?  I am trying to process updates on my IPhone & IPad for apps. I have already downloaded.

Hi Xellana, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I'm looking for information and pricing on possibly upgrading the processor from the PowerPC to Intel.
While anything is possible if you had enough money... NOPE, you can't change the CPUs to Intel, nor can you get any faster PPC upgrades for it. It'd be far cheaper to buy a new IntelMac than to replace everything inside the G5, and I mean just about everything, then figure out how to machine the case & such to mount Intel Logic Board, Graphic Card & such.
    Sorry.

  • Why does itunes charge my credit card when I still have itunes credit on my account?

I have a credit on my itunes account but each time my wife or I purchase something on itunes or the App Store, it defaults and charges my credit card? I have a credit that never gets used? Help!

Either the credit's not applicable to that purchase(as opposed to iTunes Store credit, individual song credits can't be used on album purchases), or something's wrong on Apple's servers. If needed, click here and contact the iTunes Store staff.

  • What if my daughter accidentally downloads something and it charges my credit card $99.00, i have deleted the app she installed can I get a refund?

What if my daughter accidentally downloads something and it charges my credit card $99.00? Can I get a refund? I deleted the app!!

Further to the other points, what you might want to do is
    - first, make sure your daughter does not know your password, and change it if you suspect she does;
    - second, turn off in-app purchases, and set your iPhone/iPad to require a password on every purchase. See this article:

  • ITunes charged my credit card $1.00 without explanation. What is this?

iTunes Store charged my credit card $100 without explanation, and I made no purchases. What is this?

$1 or $100? Often when you register a card iTunes will put a holding charge to confirm your card is valid. This should be released but some companies don't process the release as quickly as they should so it can still show up as "missing" from your balance/available funds later in the day. Check again tomorrow.

  • ITunes charging my credit card!

At the time of registration, 1 dollar AUD was charged to my credit card.
I have not purchased any items from iTunes, except for the free items from my iPhone.
I want to know why i was charged?

I am having this same issue. I just purchased two IPods and made some purchases from ITunes. I now have three $1 charges sitting in pending transactions on my credit card. Why haven't they removed these charges? It has been about two weeks since the first two and the last one was just put on my card today. Someone HELP!!

  • HT3702 Itunes charged my credit card too much

I don't understand. I called my bank for the number to call and fix it and a recording told me too go to the website. I need to dispute charges on my card. How do I do that?

If you are in the US then you need to add on your state's sales tax to an item's listed price. If that doesn't account for the difference then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I have 4 charges of the exact same amount on my debit card account and I DID NOT make them. How can I get iTunes to refund my money?

I tried entering in a new debit card number into my iTunes account yesterday, from my ipod touch. For some reason it was telling me the information I entered does not match my bank account. I tried 3 or 4 times, but to no avail. I figured I would wait until I was at home & do it from my home computer. About 5 minutes after putting my ipod away, I got a call from my bank saying that there are 4 charges of the exact amount that were charged from iTunes just minutes after each other and they wanted to make sure they were not fraudulant. Well they ARE!!! I did NOT authorize any purchases and now I have 4 charges of $34.78 made to my bank account that I didn't make. ITunes only offers online support...ERRRR!!! My bank told me that it is iTunes responsibility to refund the charges. WHAT DO I DO?????????
    Very frustrated...ERICA B

I just got back from Afghanistan and discovered two fresh charges for $40.00 from itunes on my Visa account. I havent bought anything from I tunes in over a year. And sure as **** not worth $40.00. The Bank rep told me this has been happening a lot and credited my account for the $80.00 worth of unauthorized charges. Also had to have my card cancelled and get a new one. Apple itunes had better get their **** together and aggressively put a stop to this. Or I will. In court, if it happens again. This is happening in their name. I see this all over the place and haven't seen a single statement from Itunes. I'm terminating my relationship with itunes until I see they have satisfactorally addressed this. No one rips me off.

If you haven't made those purchases and nobody else has access to your account or devices and they aren't temporary store holding charges, then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Itunes charged my credit card twice, but didnt give me the music?!

So I clicked purchase once and thought "hey, where is my music?" So I checked purchases, not there. Checked my bank account to see if something happened there, and sure enough not 1 but 2 authorization charges from Itunes... and no available downloads, what is this garbage? Is there any way I can get in contact with someone from Apple in regards to this?

The authorization charges should be reversed.
    You can e-mail itunes support:

You can see you account's purchase history via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases
If you didn't do the purchases, and nobody else has accesss to your account or devices and made them, then contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

You've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account on your computer's iTunes) and you haven't got any app subscriptions (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098) ? If you don't recognise the charges then you can contact iTunes support via this page (I'm not aware of any phone support for iTunes) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
