ITunes closed and the songs i payed for were gone!
A message popped up and said "an error occured an iTunes needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvinience."
How do i get my songs back?

First thing I'd do is go to the iTunes Store menu > Check for Purchases option.
If that doesn't work, look over your hard drive and see if you are able to find the lost download. Have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base for some tips on how to do so.
If you're not able to find the file, follow the directions for I paid for music that didn't download completely on this Support page .

Your songs will only be where you put them.
Did you copy them from the old drive or your backup copy of the old drive, to the new one? -
Started iTunes Match and the songs are individually available on my apple TV, and there is a tab for playlists. Yet the only playlists available are the Preset itunes generated 4: 90's music, Classical Music videos, and Recently Added. Yet even the recently Added playlist does not contain my most recelty added music purchased form iTunes and shows that is in the Cloud. None of my other playlists are on my apple tv yet looking at the playlists from my iTunes on my mac, there looks to be no issues relating to them and the cloud. Even tried making a new playlist. It made no difference. It would be nice to figure out how to have my music available on my TV without having to open up my computer everytime. Yes I know I can use my cell phone but, I'd like to put my photos to music and to set that up I need the Itunes Match playlists to WORK
Hi I had exactly the same problem, I don't know if you setup your Apple TV before you subscribed to iTunes I match? If you did then I did the same and although all my songs showed up on my Apple TV none of my playlist did.
This is how I fixed it I went into settings on the Apple TV menu and reset the device back to factory default, I then setup the unit again adding in my iTunes username and password etc, ticked the bix that says turn on I match and then went into music
It took a few moments but it said updating once this finished I checked playlists and all my playlists as per my desktop PC were showing up!

Itunes closed when the two movies I purchased were being downloaded. When I reopened Itunes, my money remained the same after I purchased them, but the movies were gone. How do I get them back without having to rebuy them?

Problem with iTunes Match and the song "This will be (an everlasting love)" from Natalie Cole
Hello,
I'd like to report a problem with iTunes Match and Natalie Cole's song "This will be (an everlasting love)".
When I stream it or download it on another device I don't get Natalie Cole's song but another one from Maxine Nightingale (Right back where we started from).
Please tell me if you have the same problem or how I can report this problem to apple.

Alternatively if the song was purchased from iTunes, you may be able to report the problem by signing into you iTunes account on your computer. Report an problem with an item you bought from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store

I had an iTunes account on an old computer with over 300 songs then when I updated my computer to the MacBook Pro it deleted all my songs when I signed into iTunes. Is there a way I can get those songs back?
Did you put the songs on the new computer?
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
I needed to restore my iPad contends and settings, and i was using iCloud backup, but there is no way to re-download any movies I already bought on the Brazilian iTunes store, not that I was able to discover.
All instructions where to the American one, that is slightly different. On this f****ng country(Brasil) I can only re-download music. Very sad.
Is there another way to get my content back without having to pay all over again?
If there is no way to re-download it then don't bother to offer the buy option, or put a warning there that if you someway lost your copy that you would have to pay to download it again. I'm really p****ed with this situation.
First the Apple TV doesn't even have the buy option, so i had to buy and download on the iPad and use airplay to watch it on the TV, and now it's simple gone.
This titles are almost the same price than a BD, if I had the patience to go out and buy it on a store I still would be able to watch it.
Can this be solved? ( Re-Download the Movies already bought )Re-downloading of films is currently only available in the US (due to film studio restrictions), and not all films can be re-downloaded there as not all film studios are allowing it. Have you not got a copy of them on your computer and/or on a backup ? I went to download the Yahoo! app on my iPod and it said I had to download the iOs 6.1.3 to get the app. I did so and I also dowloaded the newest iTunes on my computer. I had all my pictures and apps backed up on iCloud. After the update I checked my pictures and they were all gone. I also looked at my apps and most of them are gone and for a couple of free apps that I made purchases within, the information was erased. For example, I had the free version of the Harry Potter Spells app. Inside the app I bought the spell packages and when I got the game back on my iPod after the update, the information was erased. That's not fair especially because I paid for those and iFeel as though Apple has ripped me off. (Please pardon my pun.) But what I really want to know is if there is someway to retrieve them?
Restore from iCloud Backup step by step
1. Erase all contents and settings (Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings)
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Enable Location Service
9. Select network, enter password and join network
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Selected Restore from iCloud Backup
12. You'll be required to enter Apple ID and Password
13. Agree to Terms and Conditions
14. Select Backup file
15. You'll see progress bar
16. Red slider will appear; slide to unlock; step #1 to #16 is fast
17. Pre-installed apps will be restored first
18. Message: Purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
19. You'll see a pageful of apps with Waiting/Loading/Installing
20. When the restore process is complete, your device will restart. You should connect the device to iTunes to sync data not contained in the backup (such as music, videos, apps, and so on). -
when i delete a song from my library, i am not given the option to delete it also from my pc file as the help section shows.
after clicking delete and remove only the library reference is removed. song in file remains.Take a look at my FindTracks script. Download it and test it out on a few tracks first. Use the No option first time around to manually confirm each path that it wants to fix so you can see how it works. When you're happy it does what you want select a larger group of tracks to process automatically.

HELP! After installing iTunes 7, all the songs on my iPod disappeared!
I dont know if othe people are having this problem too but it really *****!
I downloaded iTunes 7 a while back because i had no choice, i wouldnt be able to buy songs/music videos from it if i didnt.
It installed a new iTunes
then a new iPod upgrade.
A day later, i pluged in the iPod.
It asked me if i wanted to upgrade it with gapless playback because i thought it would save space or something.
so i put yes, and let it do it over night since it took so long..
then the next thing i knew when i woke up, is that all the songs on my iPod were GONE!
I even plugged it back into the computer and iTunes said there were no songs on my iPod! or videos or anything!
I rechecked everything and it said the iPod was still 98% full (because i had like 4,300 songs on it) and only 2mb of free space...
I checked iTunes and it said that the things were taking up space were 10% "pics" and 89% "other files".... so i know itunes can see the files there..
I KNOW THEY'RE STILL THERE!
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET THEM BACK?!?!
I know it was the gapless playback thing... is there any way to undo it??
Please... someone help me... i cant just back up all my songs... because i reformatted my computer a while ago too.. so i have no backed up songs... and a lot are from other friends too!

I purchased a movie on apple tv. I then went to my pc and clicked "check for available downloads", but the movie is not there. I don't have enough storage to put the movie on icloud, and i refuse to pay for more storage to move something that i already paid for. any suggestions?
It looks like the answer is to log out of iTunes and then back in. That allowed Rentals to show up in my Movies Library. I rebooted about three times which didn't work. I closed the application and restarted it many times which didn't work.
The solution was to log out of my username and then back in. That worked.

I have been sharing my iTunes account with my kids...now they are getting older and want to have their own accounts, how do I share the songs I purchased for them on my account with them on their new accounts? Is there a way to transer from my main account their new accounts? And can I share music from my account with them?
You can't currently transfer content from one account to another account. As long as the tracks are on the computer's iTunes that they use/sync to, and your account is authorised on that iTunes, then they should be able to continue to use them.

I cannot play purchased songs in iTunes v11.0.1.12 or sync them to my iPhone and the songs are no longer available for downloard in iTunes store (so, I can't delete and download them again).

I just bought music on my iTunes account and the files did not download completely. The songs play for a minute or so then skips to next song
If you live in a Region that allows re-downloading Music... Delete the Song and re-download it...
