Itunes closes shortly after opening

My friend is running itunes on Windows XP and every time she opens itunes, the bar runs across the top showing that it is accessing the itunes store, but then suddenly itunes closes. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Sorry I can't answer but I'm having EXACTLY the same problem. I have sussed though that if you click the X in the bar part you can access your library still but it's still frustrating not being able to access the store. Could you let me know if you sort it please?

Photoshop closes shortly after opening.

Hi,
Just installed CC but PS keeps closing shortly after opening. I get a pop up window that says the program has stopped working. I tried re-installing the program again with no success.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Acrobat CC CS6 closes shortly after opening

To add to my problems in Creative Cloud CS6 - Acrobat, today everytime I open a pdf it stays open for about 10 seconds and then automatically closes. I have never experienced this before. Is this more of the new & improved version?
This just started today.

So, this thread sounds similar to your problem... these people describe a pdf opening, closing immediately, and after that Acrobat will not run anymore. (May or may not be the same problem you're having). Here is the solution from that thread:

ITunes closes right after opening

My iTunes started "performing an illegal operation" right after opening, then closing, a few days ago. I've tried every trick I know, been through every support scenario on their website, and looked at all kinds of forums to try and fix the problem, but nothing's been working. I've found out that the "quicktimeh264.qtx" file is the problem, but I have no idea what to do. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both iTunes and Quicktime, and that didn't help. Any ideas?

Adobe photoshop CC 2014 is closing shortly after opening. It is saying it has stopped working. HELP!

I just spoke with Adobe support on chat and they gave me step by step instructions to clean my adobe and what not and download the new photoshop, and it worked fine but then it is saying it has stopped working shortly after opening. The chat is offline right now someone please tell me yo ucan give me instructions what to do?!?!

I have tried everything on the forums, but every time i open Photoshop, Dreamweaver, flash, after effects all with CC paid membership closes right after opening them. I have read the forums searched in the internet, update and downgrade the drivers on graphic card, sign in and out the adobe creative cloud, The one thing i notices is that when i open Photoshop in the notifications on my windows, it appears in the notifications that i register my product on adobe with ID but i have entered my Id with billing information an all when i click to continue it goes sign in then back to the address??. And in my products shows i have membership cloud, don't know what to do anymore! I have even uninstall the program and clean everything with adobe cleaning tool. I don't Know what to do!!!

Final Cut Express HD (3.5) closes right after opening?

I believe years ago I had this same issue and it was as simple as deleting the preferences (??).
Basically, what's happening is I just installed FCE HD (3.5) on my G4. I meet the system requirements to run the application AND Soundtrack Pro and LiveType open and run fine. FCE closes immediately after opening and then I get an error: "The Application Final Cut Express Quit Unexpectedly."
Any ideas?

Yeah, sorry for being so confusing. That's exactely what I did. Since my main HD is 500Gb and my secondary drive is 120Gb, I just copied all the necessary files to the 500, formatted the 120, reinstalled OSX, and booted to it. The intention was to let the FCE software think it was installing on a fresh drive (which, it was).
However, even then it won't let me install FCE. Just LT and Soundtrack. ?? I'm a bit confused because the system requirements for Soundtrack and LT are the same for FCE.
I'm trying to install it on a Dual 1.25ghz G4 Quicksilver with 1.5Gb Ram. ??
The funny thing is I WAS able to install the complete program initially when I got it. I had a previous copy of Final Cut Express (1) on my main drive. I ran the FCE HD installer, and the program installed just fine. However, it kept closing right after it would open. I figured it was a preference conflict between the newer version (3.5) and the old version (1.1). So, I've done my best trying to erase all evidence of FCE ever being on the drive and still get nowhere ??

Itunes 11.02 crashes shortly after opening, usually when begins to download

This has basically destroyed my use of Itunes. Everytime I open Itunes it is okay for about 1 minute until it finds some podcasts to download then it promptly freezes. I simply can't use it. I have a Powerbook running 10.6.8 so it should be okay. I disinstalled 11.02 and replaced it with 10.7 (throwing out loads of other files as per previous discussions) but then i couldn't get Genius to work so I reinstalled 11.02 and the same thing happens. I went to the Apple Store and got the "this must be a problem with your computer" but then he took out a couple of files (dammit, i should have noted them) which he said were duplicating in my itunes folder and it worked fine... for about three days. Now it has started again. So... it looks like I will either have to haul my computer to the Apple Store every three days, or find another fix. This is SO frustrating - it has always worked fine until now. I can't believe they would release a product that ruins the customer experience like this. What am I doing wrong?
