ITunes compatible with any iPod?
Hi...I am fairly new at this, so i'm sorry if this is a stupid question . I recently upgraded my iTunes to the latest version but I have two iPods a 2GB Nano and a Shuffle, are these compatibles with iTunes? meaning, can I use both on the same iTunes to be able to download the same music to both?

Yes you can, iTunes will recognise each iPod as a separate device and each has it's own update setting. You can update each one independently from the same library and put on whichever songs you choose: How to use multiple iPods with one computer

As I said the iTunes program on the computer. You open iTunes on the computer and go to the View menue in the upper rightand then click on preferences. Go to Devices and delete the backup.

what do you do when you can't sync your ipod and it tells you that itunes is not compatible with your ipod?
Upgrade to the newest version of iTunes first to see if that helps.

I have the current version of itunes, but when I go to update my ipod, I am getting an error message that says that it could not back up because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. This is the first time trying to backup the iPod. I have authorized my computer. Still no luck.
Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and select the iPod backjp and click on delete and try again.

My subject line pretty much says it all. I'm trying to sync season 4, which has 24 episodes. I get this error on 7 of the episodes saying that the video format is not compatible with my iPod Classic.
I have tried restoring my iPod and starting from scratch, but I'm still getting the same error.
I can't imagine Apple is using a different format for different episodes, so there must be a work-around of some kind.
Any help would be appreciated.

Definitely a little odd that some episodes will sync and others will not, especially since they are from the same season. How the videos were encoded may be slightly difference, so much that your iPod no longer friends them compatible.

Since these are videos that were purchased from the iTunes store, you won't be able to convert them in any way, so you may be out of luck.

Bull-pucky the latest version is compatible! I have spent the better part of a great Sat. downloading versions all the way back to 10.7 even deleting the Library.itl file and starting fresh. I am running Windows 8.1 / 64-bit. . . . .went into ITunes Store today and all of a sudden NO WORDS OR DESCRIPTIONS APPEAR, ONLY PICTURES OF ALBUMS. How's one supposed to purchase anything when you cannot see what you're clicking on? ITunes has long had issues with Win 8.1 which I'm aware of, but THEY have done something from their end (possibly with this new $7.99 per month change coming) I'm assuming if I had a Mac this wouldn't be a problem, but this just stinks! I purchase a ton of music and have 16 published stations, do they not want my $$ any longer? Not negative towards you, sorry - can you help?

Accidently downloaded a game that isn't compatible with my ipod!

Not compatible with this ipod?
I tried to buy an app on the app store on my iPod touch 3rd generation and it said not compatible with this iPod touch. I know its compatible. I have the latest software, IOS 4.2.1, and the app said I needed a 3rd generation or higher. so I went on iTunes on my computer and downloaded it on to iTunes. then I tried to download it to my iPod from there. I spent 6.99 and it said the same thing, not compatible with this iPod. WHATS HAPPENING!?!?!
Sounds like you may have a 2nd generation unit. Please check the model number on the back. A1288 is a 2nd gen. A1318 is a 3rd gen.

That application last worked in Firefox 3.5, but HP was always very lax in updating it for a new version of Firefox. Usually they didn't bother to update it until like halfway through the "run" of a particular Firefox version. It worked for like 6 months and then a new version of Firefox was released, and it didn't work for like 6 months until HP got around to fixing it - then the cycle repeated. -

I have the same issue when downloading from itunes store. 100% Disk utilization and only writing ~2.5MB. This is a Windows 8-8.1/iTunes issue. On which side? who knows... But i don't have this issue when writing to my main drive, this is not a drive issue as i tried it on many drives and even on RAID 0. I hope they get this fixed, this is driving me nuts. I have a 50Mbps x 5Mbps Internet conneciton and its bottlenecking me at 25Mbps. Lame!
