ITunes computer uploaded music available on IPAD

I recently uploaded music to iTunes from my computer (windows).  Then I uploaded the music (sync) to my new IPOD.
Next, I went to my IPAD. Expecting to see the iTunes music in either iTune or MUSIC ico on mu IPAD.  I did not find the music at either location.  Where is it? What do I need to do to be able to hear the music on my IPAD. I do not want to LOAD onto my IPAD. Just would like to be able to gain access to the songs.

Hi brooksm549,
When tracks in iTunes display a it means the file cannot be located; it may have been moved or deleted. For this issue, we will need to refer to the following article:

Alternatively, if your media was downloaded from the iTunes Store, you may be able to download it again free of charge:

Thanks,

When will South Africa itunes store have music available to buy/download?

There is no one from Apple here, thus no one here can answer your question.

  • I'd like to sync my iTouch and iPad with my PC, and have the content (both iTunes and uploaded music) on the devices override the content on the PC, but cannot seem to find a option to do that. Can anyone help me?

I had to have my PC wiped clean and the OS re-loaded. I thought I backed up everything  on my iTouch and iPad correctly, but when I try to sync, I'm getting a message that if I continue with the sync, I will lose everything on my device. I'd like to sync and have the content (both iTunes purchased music/apps and uploaded music) override the content on my PC, but am unable to find a way to do that. I have the first gen iTouch that does not support iCloud. Can anyone help?

My question is, can I listen to all the audio that come out from the ipad (movies online, games, Goear…) or only to the music from iTunes library?
On the iPad you can stream videos, photos, or music from the Video, Photos, Music, and YouTube apps to an Apple TV OR just stream music to an AirPort Express Base Station.

  • Unable to upload music to my IPad from my PC

I cannot upload music from my pc.  I cannot sync.  I have the new IPad Retina with IOS 6.1.3.  My pc is an Windows XP    I have spoken to many Apple staff But so far no solution has been offered. Any ideas out there?

Thanks for the speedy response.  I select a few songs from the CD's that I own which had been downloaded to my PC. I have been able to download these songs into my IPhone4S but cannot do the same operation on my IPad. When I sync my IPad, then I select sync, it syncs everything else but the music.   In terms of ITunes I am using the latest version available. I have had an Apple employee remotely accessing my PC while my IPad was connected so I know they also checked for the latest version

  • HT4914 Will iTunes Match upload music from my iPhone?

    Thanks!

No, you can only subscribe to iTunes Match and upload music to it from a computer's iTunes - turning 'on' iTunes Match on a phone will, I think, remove your current music from it

  • New computer, uploaded music, but some is missing in iTunes

I uploaded my music from a series of USB drives and I can see all of my music in my iTunes library, BUT when I open iTunes, some of it is missing. I've run the 'Organize Library' and it still doesn't appear in the iTunes music screen. When I search for a specific album I can SEE in my Music folder, it doesn't find it. in iTunes. Thoughts?

    Authorize the new computer.
From the iTunes menu bar click Store > Authorize this Computer

  • ICloud button in iTunes (hoverover says music available) does nothing..

I purchased an album from my iphone 5 whilst away from my home computer. After listening numerous times, I returned home and synced it to my PC Win7. Now the album is removed from the iphone and seems to have dissapeared from everywhere.. I don't remember if I ever saw it on the laptop.. now, the icloud button doesn't do anything. Is there anyway to access purchased music on the icloud other than through itunes??

Actually, the cloud icon next to a song in your library means iTunes is "waiting" for a result for the song. To find out what the actual status of the song is you should turn on the iCloud Status column in the iTunes Browser. Pull down View > View Options and select "iCloud Status." You'll see one of several statuses next to the song. The most common will be "purchased," "matched," "uploaded," "waiting." If the songs you have questions about have an cloud icon next to them in the iCloud Download column then the status will probably be "waiting" which means the matching process is not complete yet. When a song is "matched" it will not have a cloud icon next to it.
When you click the iTunes Match entry in the left-hand column what do you see?

  • ITunes and cloud music on the iPad

I have music in iTunes and the cloud that I don't want on my iPad.  Is there a way to pick and choose what I want on my iPad? On my iPod, I plug in and choose the playlists I want.  If I delete from the iPad will it delete from the cloud and iTunes?

No, deleting tracks from the iPad will have not effect on what is available in the cloud and in iTunes. Also, you can choose to sync the iPad the same way you sync the iPod.

  • Itunes could not copy music to the ipad because the file could not be converted

iMac Intel Core i3, iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1, iTunes 10.6.3
I am trying to get an album I purchased from iTunes copied to music on my iPad.  I get the message, "iTunes could not copy ... music to the iPad because the file could not be converted."  This happens on only two tracts from the album (Mendelsshon: Concerto for Violin and Orchestra).
I have tried deleting the album from iTunes and downloading it again from iCloud.  I have erased it from my iPad, too.  No matter what I do the same two tracts keep having problems.
Any answers.  All help would be appreciated.

This is strange. Perhaps the iTunes Store version of the track is somehow corrupted? That happened once to me, and I submitted a report, and a few weeks later there was a new iTunes Store version that worked ok.
In the meantime, you could try converting it within iTunes to a different format. Use the menu command "Advanced >> Create xxxx version," where "xxxx" is whatever you've set in preferences as your "Import settings." It needs to be different from 256k AAC, which is what you have already from the store.
If iTunes doesn't choke on the conversion, chances are your iPad will accept it.

  • ITunes not syncing music

    Hello,
I am having a problem with iTunes not syncing music to my iPad. I want to have my entire library on my iPad, this used to fit.
A few weeks ago I started getting an error, most of my music had vanished. I attempted to sync it back, but was told that there was not enough space on my iPad, despite no new files being added.I looked again and noticed something. I had 20GB of OTHER in iTunes, this is approximately the size of my music library.
It is fairly clear what happened, the music files were corrupted somehow, but were still there and taking up space on the iPad. So I decided to restore my iPad. First restoring and once everything had been wiped and back to factory setting, restoring from a backup.
This worked and I was left with only 1gb of other. At this point there was still no music on my device sync music was unchecked.
So once I was sure everything was up and running, I checked the sync music box... and nothing happened. It would begin synching, it would determine the tracks to sync for a moment... then it would quickly finish syncing without adding the music files.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Unwanted Scrambling of Music Order on iPad

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 7, I have been unable to sync albums to my iPad without the order scrambling. For example, I just put an album on my iPad and the order is showing as 2, 7, 9, 14, 18, 5, 12, 22, 1, 4, 15 etc. I do not have scramble on (neither on iTunes nor in Music on the iPad). Nor are the tracks in any kind of alphabetic or numeric order. I've checked in Settings, I've looked all over iTunes, I've tried dragging. Nothing works. Short of writing a new playlist for every album, how can I get music onto my iPad in track order?

Never mind, got it. Had to restart ipad and log out and back in ince again and finally music updats and pulls all the songs from the library, unnecessary quirk that!

  • Music art on ipad

After conecting to itunes and downloading music to my ipad 3rd gen, the art work doesn't show up. Anyone have an idea what i'm doing wrong?

I'm having this same problem! iTunes match shows my songs on my iPad, but won't show my playlists or download any album artwork

  • How do I upload the music in a list that is not purchased music from my iPad to my computer. It doesn't sync automatically.

I want to download the new 5.0 software to my iPad 2 but I don't want to lose all the music I have in my lists in iTunes. When I sync with the computer, these songs do not automatically sync. Only the ones in "purchased" music will upload. How do I upload these files to my computer from my iPad for downloading later after installing the new software?

How did you get the music onto the iPad if it is not purchased music and it was not imported via iTunes?
Manually manage content is for adding content to the iPad from the computer. It is in the summary tab in iTunes.
If you want to transfer content from the iPad to your computer (if I understand you correctly) - this will help.
