ITunes Connect App Update Problem

Hi, I submitted an application update for my iPhone program which went fine but the next day all my screenshots and application description were changed to reflect the new version. I tried fixing the description and screenshots which fixed the problem yesteday but today the problem is back and nothing I do seems to help.
I do not want to confuse any potential customers. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it? Is there a way to contact iTunesConnect to let them know about the issue?
Thanks.
Louie

Bump. I'm about to post an update to my app tomorrow so I'm seriously concerned about this issue. Can anyone say how long it takes for version updates to be approved for sale? Any stats would be appreciated, even of a purely anecdotal nature.
RCON, do I understand correctly, you posted an update and then your users were seeing the new screenshots and app description on the store but when they purchased the app the binary they got was the old version? That sounds like a serious annoyance - did you contact Apple to let them know about this problem?
Anyways I'm thinking of leaving a small note on the app store listing of my updated version telling users not to worry if they download the binary and get the old version as they will get the update once it goes on line. Would look a bit unprofessional I'm afraid, but seems like it can't be helped. Any comments on whether this is a good idea or I might be overlooking some potential problem? Thanks!

Hey. I solved the problem by erasing everything in my iPhone and setting it as new. However if you don't want to lose everything try erasing all content and settings on the settings. Then restoring it from a backup

My iPhone 5's itunes shows app updates badge but no updates are available

I started having the exact same issue as of last night. Tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Have opened a support case with Apple.
I suspect there may be a problem on Apple's end with their App Store update server.
    Stay tuned.

  • Downloading app updates problem - iTunes 11.1

Since I downloaded and installed the new version, it keeps freezing when downloading app updates, they get so far then sort-of hang. I get no error messages. Is there a way I can stop a download and restart it?

    Hey Steve,
I had this problem as well and found a way how to solve this:
You need to reset your iPhone by pressing the Home button and the Power button simultaneously until the iPhone reboots.
After it rebooted I unlocked the phone, connected it to my PC and ran the iTunes sync without any problems.
Hope this helps with your issue as well.

  • App Update problem after updating to iTunes 8.1.1

Hello! The first time I opened iTunes after upgrading to v. 8.1.1, I saw that there were 13 App updates available; when I selected 'Applications' and then 'Check for Updates' at the bottom of the Applications screen, a message came that said "There are no updates available for the account __"; the account named was my account name, but with @me.com rather than @mac.com. I know that there are some updates available, as I've deliberately NOT updated several that I don't want the updated versions of.
Back to the iTunes Store screen, at the upper right appeared my proper account name, the @mac.com account. I clicked on that, producing a screen with my proper, mac.com account, and entered my password, which brought up all my proper account information; but no app updates were listed as available.
Then, checking my iPhone, the App Store icon showed 11 updates available; when I opened that, the screen stated that 'All Apps Are Up to Date".
So there seems to be a problem that has resulted from iTunes 8.1.1. I am reluctant to link my iPhone to this new version, as I fear what havoc might result.
    Any suggestions/solutions?
    Thank you!

I'm having the same problem. It started out with saying I have one app that needs updating, now it's up to two. I sync my phone nightly. I've downloaded iTunes again and when I ran the exe it asked me to Repair or Remove. I Repaired, rebooted and am still having the same problem. I'm also having sync issues with my calendar and Outlook. I'm restored my phone as well. Still having the same problems.

  • ITunes 10.7 update PROBLEMS OS 10.6.8

I use(d) my iPhone 4 as a USB Tethered Modem on a Macbook laptop.
ALL software is up to date
    Problems:
The exact second iTunes 10.7 update completed it's install, my iPhone4 STOPPED being a USB Tethered  Hotspot!
iPhoto STOPPED SEEING new pictures on the iPhone4.
iTunes still sees the iPhone but Network does not see the iPhone when it is Tethered via USB & the iPhone option is GONE
I can turn on Bluetooth and use it as a modem but it does not work USB Tethered. This is NOT a viable Option!
    Trouble shooting:
I have an Powerbook G4 OS 10.5.8 that has NOT been updated in a year and the iPhone works as a USB Tethered Modem & iPhoto sees the pics on the iPhone, so it is NOT a cable or an iPhone problem.
Apple Support REFUSED to help me saying they have no record of problems (but I found with Google, a lot of problems reported on Windows devices).
THEY ALSO SAID THEY DO NOT OFFER EXCEPTIONS AFTER THE 3RD ONE, EVEN IF IT IS THEIR FAULT DUE TO A SOFTWARE UPDATE!?!?
I took both laptops and the iPhone4 to an Apple store Genius Bar and all they could come up with was to reinstall the OS, which they did without deleting my applications because I do not have the serial numbers to several very expensive apps that I got with the system when I bought it used.
    2+ HOURS LATER...
Network had no iPhone option at all.
iPhoto still did not see pics on the iPhone4
    iTunes still saw the iPhone4
Bluetooth is my Only Option to get to the WWW but it's SO SLOW I'm now using the Powerbook!
It sure seems that since Steve is gone, Apple has been infected with IBM-itis
    FIX THIS UPDATE A.S.A.P. PLEASE!

I did all that and still No Joy! I don't even have an iPhone option on my network pregerences...

  • ITunes connection timed out problem. Please help

Hey guys, I've purchased an iPod Touch 4th Gen recently but a problem I've had after installing iTunes is connecting to the internet. I haven't even got the software on the iPod Touch due to an error - "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your internet settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"
Here's a similar error message which comes up -
    http://turbo.inquisitr.com/wp-content/2009/11/itunes-connection-timed-out.jpg
The frusterating thig is that know one has a clue about the problem or the solution. I've tried everything you name it, from disabling the firewall, disabling the anti-virus, disabling any other programs which may affect iTunes. I've tinkered with the different internet setting, looked out programs allowed in the firewall and iTunes is definitely allowed. And my internet connection is perfect and very very fast. I don't use wireless but an Ethernet cable. There are absolutely NO problems with my internet connection WHATSOEVER.
So I was thinking whether the time I decided to install is the problem? Maybe it was peak time (I tried it at 17:00pm UK Time) and now its 22:25pm UK time. Maybe it's a time where many users are online? But if that was the case surely I would have been successful atleast once?
Please help, I'm getting really really desperate. Thanks you ever so much

You need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then connect it to your new computer and restore it via iTunes. Note that you will lose all content on the iPod. You can redownload apps at no additional cost provided you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.

  • ITunes Connect: Support update for the iBookstore 8.24.12

Funny how they tout the forums as the first of four items for 'ways to get answers', yet they can't find the time to post here....oh well
To better serve your needs, English-language phone support is now available to iBookstore publishers. With this new option, we now offer four ways to get answers to your questions:
The Book Forum is a community-based, collaborative environment to find solutions and share tips on creating, delivering, and marketing books in the iBookstore.
The iTunes Connect FAQ is constantly updated to answer common questions.
The iTunes Connect Contact Us module provides the option to send inquires directly to the support team, for email-based support.
If you prefer to speak to one of our iBookstore Publisher Support advisors, you can also use phone support. To contact the phone support for publishers, call +1 (877) 206-2092. Phone support is available in English only and provides the same support as our email support option. Calls are toll-free from the U.S. and Canada. International calling rates may apply elsewhere. An active iTunes Connect account is required to use this option.
The iBookstore support team is available to assist you via email and phone, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific). When requesting support, be sure to provide as much detail as possible, including:
The book's Apple ID, ISBN, or vendor ID and the title (for title-specific queries).
The transfer log for delivery failures. Include the entire transfer log in your Contact Us inquiry. You can access the transfer log by clicking the magnifying glass in the iTunes Producer delivery window. You can also use the “Send to Apple” feature in iTunes Producer to submit the entire log for review.
The device, browser, version number, and operating system for technical issues in the iBookstore or on iTunes Connect. You can get this information by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu in OS X.
Any other details that can help us replicate and resolve the issue.
    Regards,
    The iBookstore team

...and on top of all this chatter, iOS devs are having apps rejected left/right while being told to make books instead.
I'd also expect that when/if calling that support phone number the most common reply is to come here for help.

  • ITunes available app update count is incorrect - off by 1

so for the past couple weeks i've been having this problem with itunes app updates. on the left-hand side of itunes where "apps" is, the number that pops up next to it to show the available updates to be downloaded is off by one. if i click and try to install available updates, i receive the notification that there are no new updates to install for any of my apps, but the number still shows one! totally frustrating.
i googled this and have only found one possible solution found on an older itunes support forum, but i have no idea what it means or how to go about this:
+"I experienced this same issue. An update number in iTunes, yet nothing to update once you click the update link.+
+I also realized that I had duplicates in both iTunes itself and in the Music > iTunes > Mobile Applications Folder. The number of duplicated apps matched my false "update number."+
+So, if an application was duplicated in either iTunes itself or in the Mobile Applications Folder, I made sure that each duplicated app was already synced to the iPhone, then simply removed the duplicated applications from both iTunes and from the Mobile Applications Folder.+
+Then when I did my next sync, I made sure to choose the "transfer" button to have my apps synced back into iTunes. Once this was done, the problem completely disappeared. I hope this helps you!"+
can please someone help me figure this out? and if by all means you have a better/clearer solution, please let me know. very much appreciated! thanks!

I had the same problem despite regularly updating my Apps. Problem was that somewhere during the early days of using iCloud iTunes got me logged in to with my mac.com account, rather than my long running imran.com account. Result, I have 8 apps that got purchased with that mac.com ID.
Even until now Apple has failed to provide a way to merge two AppleIDs.
So, now I have to go through the annoying step of logging out of my main iTunes account, logging in with my mac.com account, downloading the available updates for that, then remember to logout and log back in with my primary account. That brings the app update count available to Zero.
Convoluted situation brought to you by Apple's failure to provide linking or merging AppleIDs. Hope this helps.
    Imran

  • Itunes connect upload image problem

i'm trying to fill out the metadata for my app in itunes connect. i understand that at this point, we can't actually upload the app, but i want to get everything else ready.
when i try to upload the large icon or the screenshot, i get sent back to the beginning with a generic error message.
has anyone else had any luck using itunes connect to setup application metadata?

Yes, no problem encountered here, with images, anyway. I am a little peeved, however, that I spent quite a while futzing with Application Loader, which doesn't work (yet), only to a day or so later get an email back from devsupp saying don't bother, apps can't be uploaded yet.
Perhaps I should have figured that out, after all, the SDK is still Beta. I wonder if we have to wait until it isn't beta any more before apps can really be "final" and ready to upload.

  • New iTunes & applying App updates

In the new iTunes, how do you apply app updates as there is no "search for updates" or "update all" buttons anymore?  Previously I could decide which updates to apply.
I have 9 app  updates needing applied but I dont want to apply them all.   I used to apply via computer as some of the updates can take a while

After continuing my search for answer -  I eventually found it  (I have iphone 5,  iTunes 11 and a Windows PC)
    1) Start ITunes (version 11 is most recent).
    2) Plug you Iphone in so it will find it.
    3) When looking at the main ITunes main page... "You can show the sidebar (which was the old way to view ITunes) by pressing Option-Command-S on a Mac or Co ntrol-S on Windows. Alternatively, you can open the View option from the menu bar and select Show sidebar.  I just used Ctrl+S - you will now recognise the ols style of ITunes but will still be Version 11
    4) Near top of sidebar you will  see Apps, and number of updates pending, Click apps - and voila -  you will see the old style... and sync as you did before!!!  I have no idea why Apple made it so confusing and less user friendly, but they did.

  • ITunes 12 App Update Information: Easy access no longer

iTunes Vn 12 has taken away easy access to the details of application updates. Before Vn 12 a single click produced the details  I now can only access using right-click/ view in iTunes Store!

The "My App Updates" in iTunes has 5 apps that don't appear to register as updated. They're updated on my iPhone, they appear updated in iTunes, but they're always shown as needing an update. I believe all 5 started the behavior about the same time about a week ago.
Other apps appear to update normally.

I've restarted the phone. Haven't reset and won't restore unless I'm desperate (loose too much info on phone).
Phone itself has the right app versions and is operating correctly.
