ITunes Connect - Is Patience Really a Virtue?

I submitted a book, then had to resubmit it due to an issue with my Table of Contents.
Must have done something correct. The Ticket indicates PENDING, but what worries me I have been PENDING for 32 days.
I have submited a question a couple times and did receive a response, but....the response almost seem to be the typical automatic response with someone's name.
Questions:
Is it taking exceptionally long? [32 days and counting...]
Any recommendations on what I could do to ensure the book is really pending?
Are the responses from Real People or are they ... ?

I'm trying to register a new application and it's taking upwards of 2 hours to achieve what should take 10 minutes tops... It keeps timing out on every upload and chucking me out to the login screen so I have to enter everything all over again.
Very frustrating...as I type this I'm waiting for it to accept the final save for the first time. No doubt it's going to fail and I'll have to spend the next hour trying to upload a large app icon again

You will have to restore and thus erase the iPod. If you stuff is in a backup y can restore from backup. Otherwise it is lost.

How long does it take to get approval from iTunes Connect and how do I find out if they are even working on it? I'm not really sure if my application was even delivered - from the links in IBA. Any suggestions how one might push the right buttons at Apple?
Also went around in a big circle trying to get beyond the confusion of not having the right Apple ID when I've had it a long time. Confusion abounds and learning this forum also takes a new degree of patience. Humbling to say the least :-)

How long does it take to get approved to sell iBooks through iTunes Connect?

I have applied to sell iBooks through iTunes Connect. After asking for my Legal Entity, Tax ID, etc, it said my application was sent and is being processed. That was about 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything since. I'm wondering if there's a status page or something to see if it's still processing. I tried to email [email protected] to ask what was taking so long and haven't had any response. I'm just hoping I get something worked out by the end of two more weeks. I have a show I'm going to and I really wanted to advertise this iBook.

I finally received an email saying I'm activated! (after 4 months!). I guess it's just when they've gotten around to it

I've tried to create an iTunes connect account through our business ------- with my ---------- apple ID and I haven't heard anything back. On April 4th, I received an email saying my Tax I.D. was invalid and that I should try to correct it. I corrected it that day and am still waiting. Can you please help me get this resolved or tell me what more I need to do to qualify to distribute iBooks on the market?

Hey guys, I've purchased an iPod Touch 4th Gen recently but a problem I've had after installing iTunes is connecting to the internet. I haven't even got the software on the iPod Touch due to an error - "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your internet settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"

The frusterating thig is that know one has a clue about the problem or the solution. I've tried everything you name it, from disabling the firewall, disabling the anti-virus, disabling any other programs which may affect iTunes. I've tinkered with the different internet setting, looked out programs allowed in the firewall and iTunes is definitely allowed. And my internet connection is perfect and very very fast. I don't use wireless but an Ethernet cable. There are absolutely NO problems with my internet connection WHATSOEVER.
So I was thinking whether the time I decided to install is the problem? Maybe it was peak time (I tried it at 17:00pm UK Time) and now its 22:25pm UK time. Maybe it's a time where many users are online? But if that was the case surely I would have been successful atleast once?

You need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then connect it to your new computer and restore it via iTunes. Note that you will lose all content on the iPod. You can redownload apps at no additional cost provided you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.

ITunes Connect login - Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect.

I have a company iPhone developer account which I registered two years ago. I have renewed it and it has not expired. I am the agent and I know the Apple ID and password as I login to the dev portal fine. I am now trying to publish my first app under this account but I get this message when trying to log into iTunesConnect Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect.
My account seems to be in some strange state as I invited another developer to my team (my hotmail email account) and then tried to make that user the Agent but that didn't even work, my new user shows up in the list of developers/team members, but I cannot select them in the dropdown to make them the agent, only my current agent name shows.
Is this a hand off to Apple support situation? I am up against a hard deadline and fear this is going to add significant delays waiting for Apple support to look into it (I've seen some other posts of people waiting 3 weeks with this problem and getting nowhere with support).

I only had the one login before. Yesterday to try to solve it I invited my hotmail account as a developer to the team. I then tried to make that developer the agent, but even though it shows in the team members, I cannot select the account to be the agent as its not in the dropdown list.
I am on OS X 10.7.3, using Safari. The dev account did not expire, I renewed it in April 2012 so there is plenty of time left on it. I am really stuck, this is so frustrating.

Iphone 5 not working and giving itunes connect logo

I just bought iphone 5 2 days before from a local shop here , yesterday it was working fine specially that i just was installing apps on it but when i woke up today morning it was switched off I was thinking the battery was dead but I was little confused because i remember that it was having charge already.
anyway when i connect it still not working only giving me apple logo going and coming then it giving itunes connect logo when i just try to open
didn't work in the computer so i just uninstall itunes and re install it. it gave me that the iphone need to be restored and staying more than an hour and nothing happened then i am just trying again now and still waiting ....
I want to know why this happened and what it means ? does it mean that the iphone not good and better to give it back to the shop ??

I am having this EXACT same problem. I have been put through the ringer! I've been on and off the phone with customer service, emailed back and forth with various departments. I evened emailed [email protected] and they can't help me. Really?! How can the people at iTunes Connect NOT re-send the authentication email? I have been waiting since the day iBook Author came out. I'm a teacher and I created a new student handbook that is intereactive with videos and hyperlinks for parents and students throughout, yet I'm at a stand still because NOBODY from apple has answers. It's getting ridiculous. Bank Info in Itunes Connect

Hello, I really need to enter new account information to itunes connect because I had a returned payment notice.
When I put in my ABA number it didnt show my bank branch in the list of banks. I really need to enter the new account info.

Yes, it is possible. I already asked that to the support line.
You cannot change the information by yourself at the moment but you can send an email to the support line. They will change the information afterwards (if they have all the required documents, etc.).

I've been trying to publish a book I've created on iBooks Author to the iBooks Store but I'm having a bit of trouble with iTunes Connect.
I've set it up and signed the contracts and I can access the dashboard on a web browser with my Apple ID however, when I try to log into it from the Publish wizard on iBooks Author it keeps coming up with an alert message saying that "this Apple ID isn't associated with an iTunes Connect account", even though... well... it is.
I was wondering if it was a possibility I might have missed something along the way to connecting my Apple ID to the iTunes Connect? I don't know what to do.
I really want to get my books onto the iBooks Store as soon as I can - I've tried going through publishers like Smashwords and BookBaby but I've not had much luck with them.... I would prefer to go direct through retailers like Apple and Barnes and Noble.

You can sign in to your BlackBerry ID by visiting www.bbid.com . From there you should be able to associate a new device to your BB ID.

Itunes connect issues

Submitted apps have been stuck in "Processing" for 12 hours and I'm unable to remove app from waiting for review to resubmit my binary!.

I also have issues with the whole iTunes Connect process. On my first attempt, I failed the epub filter and Producer notified me of several mistakes. Those were fixed and on my second attempt I successfully uploaded my epub, metadata and cover jpg. After a couple days of Pending status the submission changed to Quality Check status and then on day nine it changed to Removed From Sale status. There was no feedback at this point, all one can do is to pore over the Apple documentation, which I did. I found that Apple requires the use of a <CONTENT> file which the official epub standard says is 'optional.' Well it is optional for everyone but Apple. On my third attempt at upload with the afforementioned problem fixed, the Removed From Sale status never changed during the next ten buiness days. So again, I carefully scrutinized every page of every Apple document related to this whole process. I found out that I had capitalized all the letters in the meta data book title and author's name. This by itself results in a rejection (the docs say.) I also found a few more minor glitches, nits really. I am on my forth upload and the status still shows Removed from Sale. I am POSITIVE that everything is fixed this time but Apple does not answer my emails. There are no telephone numbers to call. It is all very frustrating. What I am afraid of is that once a Removed from Sale sataus is assigned, that no matter how many time you resubmit your package, no one looks at it again?!? I cannot find anywhere in Apple documentation what an author does in this situation? Do we start over from scratch and upload a new book? Apple, please tell us and we will comply!!!

SWIFT Code and iTunes Connect

iTunes Connect is requiring me to enter a SWIFT code, I called my Credit Union that handles my Business Checking for the last 10 years and they said they don’t have a SWIFT or BIC code, just use the routing number. When I put in the routing number the page gives me an error stating that the SWIFT is invalid. I really do not want to change banks after all these years for this, is there a way I can get this to work?
My CU is GTEFCU if that helps.

ITunes Connect EIN, and Tax Info?

I'm close to completing my full featured app however, I want to make it a paid application and I don't exactly understand all the tax stuff. I'm too young to have a credit card so my dad set up an iTunes Connect account, but he's a U.S citizen and pays tax like a good daddy . But all jokes aside, I don't get the EIN thing and neither does he. I do all the programming and stuff, and all the income he'll just give to me. Where can he find an EIN number? He's employed by an NY law firm, and leaves me to the programming. When we're setting up the tax info, do I check the SSN or EIN as the tax pin thing. Also, what is exempt payee and subject to withholding mean? Which one does he check? I need help since my dad and I are completely foreign to this.

Only if he's going to register his law firm as the company legally selling the app. Otherwise he would use his SSN or apply for an EIN as a sole proprietor.
If he has further questions, he really should contact the developer support people.
