To better serve your needs, English-language phone support is now available to iBookstore publishers. With this new option, we now offer four ways to get answers to your questions:
The Book Forum is a community-based, collaborative environment to find solutions and share tips on creating, delivering, and marketing books in the iBookstore.
The iTunes Connect FAQ is constantly updated to answer common questions.
The iTunes Connect Contact Us module provides the option to send inquires directly to the support team, for email-based support.
If you prefer to speak to one of our iBookstore Publisher Support advisors, you can also use phone support. To contact the phone support for publishers, call +1 (877) 206-2092. Phone support is available in English only and provides the same support as our email support option. Calls are toll-free from the U.S. and Canada. International calling rates may apply elsewhere. An active iTunes Connect account is required to use this option.
The iBookstore support team is available to assist you via email and phone, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific). When requesting support, be sure to provide as much detail as possible, including:
The book's Apple ID, ISBN, or vendor ID and the title (for title-specific queries).
The transfer log for delivery failures. Include the entire transfer log in your Contact Us inquiry. You can access the transfer log by clicking the magnifying glass in the iTunes Producer delivery window. You can also use the “Send to Apple” feature in iTunes Producer to submit the entire log for review.
The device, browser, version number, and operating system for technical issues in the iBookstore or on iTunes Connect. You can get this information by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu in OS X.
Any other details that can help us replicate and resolve the issue.

...and on top of all this chatter, iOS devs are having apps rejected left/right while being told to make books instead.
I'd also expect that when/if calling that support phone number the most common reply is to come here for help.

I've not had a problem before, but since the new update for Itunes, I can't download library books through Overdrive Media to my Ipod touch. It transfers to Itunes but shows a message on my IPod that it can't sync.
I don't recall updating recently, but tonight I found I had the same problem. However, if I plugged my ipod in, it then gave me the option to transfer to just ipod, or library and ipod. However, that raises other problems, because you know we have to change these over from music to audiobooks. Also, ITunes is freezing on me, even after doing a fix reinstall. It looks like it's connecting to the store and I have to end task it. Also, some freaking crap is going on with my ipod. I "lost" my audiobook option I had locked to the bottom of my page. Also, all the other music I had on my ipod is gone, wasn't much as I use this mostly to listen to audiobooks. But the only music album there is the free U2 one Apple gave out a while back. So I'm in it even worse than you right now as I have a 2 day trip planned and was adding more books to my selection, to listen while driving. But try what I told you above. If it does put it on your ipod, you can delete it and "fix" the info in iTunes, then transfer it back.

Cant find the page in itunes connect that ask for the name that you want your app company to be.
I have an indivdual developer account and I want to name my app company, because I want to release an app to the app store.
I have heard that in an individual developer accout, you can not establish a personal app company name. They say that the app developer name is the name that is used in your apple developer accout info.

I've been trying to restore my daughter's mini ipad to factory settings. When I click restore ipad (while it's connected to itunes) it will update for a while then a pop up will say I need to enter the passcode on the ipad!! That's the whole point of restoring the ipad. We don't know the password and it's disabled. HELP

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Whilst synching to my PC it said there was a software update for the iPhone.
It is now stuck with a message saying connect to iTunes. I've tried resetting it in various ways but it still comes back to Connect to iTunes, but it won't.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? So my Macbook was not booting up so I resorted to using Disk Utility...it has been stuck on "updating boot support partitions for the volume as required" for over two days.
Has anyone else had to wait this long?

Instructions for FWTDM -
Disconnect all other FireWire devices from both computers before you use FireWire target disk mode. Do not connect any FireWire devices until after you have disconnected the two computers from each other or have stopped using target disk mode.
To use FireWire target disk mode
1. Make sure that the target computer is turned off.
2. If you are using an Apple portable computer such as a PowerBook or MacBook as the target computer, plug in its AC power adapter.
3. Use a FireWire cable to connect the target computer to a host computer. The host computer can be powered on.
4. Start up the target computer and immediately press and hold down the T key until the FireWire icon appears. The hard disk of the target computer should become available to the host computer and will likely appear on desktop. (If the target computer is running Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, you can also open System Preferences, choose Startup Disk, and click Target Disk Mode. Restart the computer and it will start up in Target Disk Mode.)
5. When you are finished copying files, locate the target computer's hard disk icon on the desktop of the host computer and drag it to the Trash or choose Eject (or Put Away) from the File menu.
6. Press the target computer's power button to turn it off.
7. Unplug the FireWire cable.

Can not update iTunes because I have iMac with 10.5.8 . How I will sync my iphone 6.0 with an older version of iTunes on my iMac???? There is no update for the software of my iMac and no update for the iTunes.... So how can I sync????
Requirements for iPhone 5:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.7 or later
The highest version of iTunes you can install is 10.6.3 which will not sync with the iPhone 5.

I connected my iphone for the first time to my itunes. It didnt have any backup or anything saved on icloud. As soon as i plugged it in, on itunes it asked if I wanted to restore, or backup, my ipod to my iphone or something (I dont remember) and I clicked yes. I thought that it was syncing music, and apps that i had on my ipod but instead it made my iPhone 4s into a copy of my ipod touch from the last time i synced my ipod (august 2012) now i have lost all of my contacts, pictures, messages, calls, emails and everything else I had on my iphone... is there any way that I can recover anything and get it how it used to be before all of this happened? i did not save anything on the computer or on itunes backup...
Sorry saker, but if you have not backed up your data anywhere, and you told the computer, in essence to clear the data and restore it with your iPod data, then you are pretty much out of luck....

my iphone 4 after ios 5.1 update. had error updating.my phones now in recovery mode. usb to itunes when switched on.doesnt recognise. after update done.yes updates itunes.trued different usb ports. etc . for restore .but nothing.says my phones backed up in preferences.on itunes.but can get back up.i recall doing a firware update for the last os 5.0 update..but forgot where the link was .do i have to buy a new phone ?
UPDATE: I attempted to bypass activation using the emergency call 112 to get into the homescreen, but the call failed, in fact, even 911 will not go through and give me a call failed. (before you yell at me for dialing 911, I'm a firemedic )

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone4 on my laptop through Itunes. After the download was done, it was starting to install, and then an error came up and didnt get a chance to check it. Now my Iphone is stuck on the screen with the USB pointing to the Itunes Icon and wont do anything else. Any advice on how to get this fixed, or do i need to go to the Apple store and have them look at it.

I have updated my iphone 5 with IOS7. Now there is an update 7.0.2 on my cell and the size of update file is showing around 21.0 MB. I tried to update it ITunes but it seems it is downloading the entire IOS. Is there any separate update for the same or I have to download the entire IOS again?
Well when you download the update with iTunes it will always download the whole new version (in your case 7.0.2) even if its just an bug fix. If you already have 7.0 download the update over-the-air.
You already wrote that the update is only 21 MB, so its not the whole firmware package of 7.0.2 you get with iTunes. -

In using it, I found out other's have had this issue and it likely means you have a 3G iPad? If you do, go into settings and turn off cellular data, then try to update again and you should be OK........ -
