    Erase iPad and setup iPad from scratch
    1. Launch web browser on your computer
    2. Sign in to www.icloud.com
    3. Tap on Find My iPhone
    4. Select the iPad to be erased
    5. Tap Erase iPad
    6. Message: All your content and settings will be erased. An erase iPad cannot be located or tracked
    7. Tap Erase
    8. Enter Apple ID and Password
    9. Tap Next
    10. Enter a phone number where you can be reached. It will be shown on your iPad after it has been erased

    Please help!
    ITunes has been working fine. One day I opened it and it got stuck on the default of opening up the music store. The only way I can get out of it is CtlAltDel.
    There is no error message.
    I have installed & re-installed it numerous times even with the windows tools to remove old files.
    Someone please help. I cannot use ITunes at all!

    okay. that symptom is often associated with a damaged QuickTime. (iTunes needs a properly functioning QuickTime in order to work correctly.)
    so let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
    head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
    Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.
    next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
    switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
    go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly (without freezing) now?

    i'm on windows7. I recently updated itunes to a later version an i have been hassling with freezing "not responding" ever since. I have also linked my itunes to my old Account whih was set up while i was in a different country. I have been trying to create a new account linked with my new location, but Itunes keeps freezing whenever i try to sign out of my existing account. any idea on what would be causing this and how can i sort it out?

  • ITunes constantly freezing

    For about a month now, every time I am playing music in the background on iTunes and using the internet, my computer freezes up. If i quickly Alt-F4 out of the tab, it will resume as normal, but if I don't, the speakers buzz loudly and eventually the computer freezes up completely. This only happens when i'm playing music with iTunes. Oddly enough, I can easily play games and listen to music at the same time, but while on the internet, it will always freeze. I've updated iTunes, and even re-installed it, but the problem stays. Any suggestions or explanations as to why iTunes keeps freezing?

  • ITunes Constantly Freezes

    I recently re-downloaded iTunes after reinstalling my computer's OS. I have everything up to date, including iTunes, Quicktime, and my OS (Windows XP Service Pack 3).
    When I start iTunes, it works fine for a few seconds and typically freezes after about 10 seconds or randomly after clicking something or just even rolling my mouse over something. This occurs about every 15 seconds, and will stay frozen for up to 5 minutes at times. I have tried multiple solutions from Apple's support site, none of which have helped.
    This is preventing me from properly downloading lost music and applications as well as updating my iPod Touch. My iPod Touch is now completely unfunctional because iTunes keeps freezing when installing the new 2.2 update. When I turn on the iPod Touch, it only shows the screen of the USB plug pointing at the iTunes logo.
    Anyone else experiencing this? If so, please give me a working solution. This is really annoying me and has occured every time I've used iTunes in the past.

    Sorry, but if this is a software issue I cannot help you very much. I would just try to uninstall and reinstall the apple software, such as quicktime and Itunes, which you apparently just did after reinstalling your OS.
    You hint that you have had the Problem even before you reinstalled your OS, that was what made me believe it could be a hardware issue.
    Please bear in mind that other Programs, such like your Browser or Word MAY not have so much trouble with a little defect Ram. Usually those Errors show in Software like Computergames that have a lot of Ram usage and result in Program crashs or freezes.

    For some reason I can't access the password retrieval screen . The screen is frozen with no access to resetting the password
    There is an apple symbol where it is locked.

    Try a soft reset:
    Hold power and home button until apple boot logo appears,
    if this does not work put into dfu mode and restore through itunes.
    How to put into DFU mode:
    Step One
    Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.
    Step Two
    Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
    Step Three
    After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.
    The iPhone screen will remain black like this:
    NOTE***: It may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU mode. Generally, I hold down both buttons then release the Home button just before I think the Apple logo would appear. If you are still holding both buttons down and you see the Apple logo you are holding them down for too long!

    For about a week now iTunes just won't stop freezing my computer. Anything I do (listen to a song, download a song or update my iPhone/iPod), it will freeze. The computer starts making noises and eventually i have to shut off the computer and restart because it stops responding.
    I've looked through all of the support procedures for things that are related to this and right now I have an empty iTunes library, and just when I thought it was fixed, I go to copy my information back into iTunes and it freezes again.
    Please help! My iPhone has all my information on it, and I can no longer put any new things on it because of this.

    so whenever i open itunes it immediatly freezes. ive tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail. is it possible that im not un-installing everything which is why the problem persists? any help would be appreciated

    See if it will open with a new blank library.
    Press *and hold* the shift key while starting itunes. Choose new library. Name it something like Test so you can find it easy later to delete it.

    I'm wondering if you figured out this problem. I'm having the exact same issue, which means I can't even log in to my iTunes account. I've even tried uninstalling it and reverting to iTunes 9.1.1, which then won't even open.

  • I have purchased a from within an app. I submit my password for the app, and then my Apple ID.  I then get the following messages "Regrant failure _ please log in with the same user that has bought this app"  and that is followed  by "cant conn with IT _

    I have purchased an item from within the app PocketBible on my iPad.  However when I try to download it I am asked for my app User Name and Password and then my Apple ID and password.  I give both of these.  I then get a message which says Regrant failure - Please log in with the same user that has bought the app.  That is then followed by  Pocket Bible Alert - cannot connect to iTunes Store.
    Anybody got any ideas, both what the 1st alert means and how I get round the problem please.

    I had the same problem. My wife had the PocketBible on her Ipad 2 and she transferred ownership to me. I had to delete the app and reinstall it from the App store(logged in with my apple ID) and its working without a problem. I do not get those error messages when I attempt to Buy/Upgrade or Add/Remove books.

    I recently moved from Winnipeg to Brandon MB, and have changed my email address and attempted to delete the old one. Everytime I go to download or transfer data to my iphone or ipad I hit a wall. The system is asking me for my password to my old email address that dosent exist and I can't remember anyway. How do I get around this wall? I cant figutre it out. I do have a new email and password that has been registered with iCloud, etc. but the old one keepd jumping in
