Itunes content disappeared and can't be downloaded to computer

I'd appreciate your advice if you can help ?
I went to sync to i tunes for the first time in several months and found that ALL content was missing from my computer library. My iphone content is ok. When I sync'd my iphone my recent playlists disapeared from it, but nothing appeared in my computer libraries. A friend advised me to re-install itunes, rather than do that I have downloaded itunes to another (new) computer and connected to my itunes account. When trying to download any "available downloads" or "previous purchases" I have messages saying there are no new downloads or previous purchases available. After doing this I went back to my old computer and tried "download previous purchases" and it has started doing so but is taking days!
Can anyone explain a) why has this happened and b) why can't I get content on my new computer ?
All help will be very gratefully received, thanks in advance !

Which version of Toast 6 are you using? Roxio made the change with the 6.1 update to "fix" Toast to no longer burn purchased iTMS content.

If your CD version is previous to 6.1 and you updated it after the fact, you could try deleting it and reinstalling it and this time NOT updating it and see if you can now burn the iTMS songs.

Computer: Dell, windows XP SP2 with all current updates (Windows firewall off, but acceptions made for appropriate ports anyway!)
Router: Brand new Dlink WBR-2310 (using DSL)
iTUNES: version 7.1.1.5
Apple TV network connection: CAT6 cable (no wireless)
Scenario:
Apple TV obtains an ip address, I can view movie trailors on my DLP TV and I can successfully ping the ATV from my XP computer. Once I turn off zone alarm, and try to sync with my computer, ATV appears under iTUNES devices. I enter the password that ATV provided. iTUNES says it is confirming password. The computer thinks for ~20 seconds then ATV disappears from iTUNES. ATV now has my shared name in the sources menu, but it is grayed out and says the library is unavailable.
I have tried all trouble shooting recommendations:
ATV: Factory restored settings, unplugged ATV
iTUNES: 100% uninstall then reinstall
XP Computer, router and DSL modem: shut down, turned off, turned on. (I have done this in the exact order recommended in the forums.)
I am at my wits end and feel I have exhausted all possibilities.
Does anyone have advice?
I was soooo hopeful of ATV, but I am very discouraged. :-/

I'm having the same problem (synching works fine but streaming is disabled) except I'm using an AirPort Extreme router (802.11n). I was on the phone w/ support for 2 hours and the only thing that we came up with that worked was to disable/re-enable synching. This has the unfortunate side effect of blowing away the ATV hard disk. I only did this the one time (which re-enabled my PC in sources), but now it is disabled again. Since I was able to temporarily "correct" the problem by resynching, I'm thinking it is a ATV 1.0 sorta bug. I was hoping that this last ATV update would have fixed the problem but it didn't. Maybe I should try re-synching now that I have the update.

Infact I have no "Apps App" to tap & open so i cannot view/purchase any Apps for my iPhone
My wife's even tried downloading Apps to my iPhone from our iPad after syncing them up but all it seems to do is send me the App badge from our iPad to my iPhone but cannot open it because the App is still 'Waiting'...Waiting for what???...nothing!??...No download???...just a faded App which won't open? Apps that just sit & wait!??? It's not good when your trying to run a business for the 1st time & not good when its causing rows either! Are they gone completely from the computer, or just no longer in the library? Check your movie media folder.
If your'e in the USA you can download some movies a second time, but not all (studio dependent). You should always back up all media.

Clear space on your iPhone (go to Settings > General > Usage) and complete the download there.
If you rented the movie on your iPhone, it can only be viewed on your iPhone.

After doing some research, I found out that I had accidently hid iPhoto after I paused the download. After going into my apple id account and saw my hidden purchases, I found it. Thank you so much helping me though!

Since iOS 8 my purchases disappeared and I cannot re-download them! I have tried going to purchased items and hitting the download from icloud icon. It just says downloading, then goes back to the download icon.
I have tried syncing from my Mac - same thing, they disappear.
This is happening to numerous purchases.
I tried re-downloading one at a time, I tired all at once.
I'll attach some screenshots for convenience.
All this has happened since iOS 8 (and is extra frustrating cause I am mid book on a couple of these).

Kimg68365882 did you purchase Acrobat 9 Standard from Adobe directly? If so and you choose to download the software instead of receive a CD then please see Find a download link on Adobe.com.
If you originally received the software on CD then please use a computer with an optical drive to copy the contents of the CD to a USB drive.

Connect the device to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos".
Click Apply.
Even when you have enabled manual management, you can still sync some content automatically. Select any content tab, such as Video, to enable automatic syncing for that type of content.

Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db

Hmmm.. sorry to jump in but...
I Wish I had seen this before I got mine.
Mine has been doing this auto eject stuff too.
I think I just plugged it in and TM let me select it but is it possible
I should have reformatted it with DU first, like with all the WD drive problems ?
Is it too late for that ?
Or just try to return it or get rid of it ?
