"iTunes could not connect to this iPod. An unknown error occurred (0xE8000012)"

For some reason iTunes isn't able to read my ipod anymore, installed the new version of itunes after not using it for a while and now iTunes won't read anything from it.
Anyone else having this problem who could possible have a solution?
