Itunes could not copy music to the ipad because the file could not be converted

iMac Intel Core i3, iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1, iTunes 10.6.3
I am trying to get an album I purchased from iTunes copied to music on my iPad. I get the message, "iTunes could not copy ... music to the iPad because the file could not be converted." This happens on only two tracts from the album (Mendelsshon: Concerto for Violin and Orchestra).
I have tried deleting the album from iTunes and downloading it again from iCloud. I have erased it from my iPad, too. No matter what I do the same two tracts keep having problems.
Any answers. All help would be appreciated.

This is strange. Perhaps the iTunes Store version of the track is somehow corrupted? That happened once to me, and I submitted a report, and a few weeks later there was a new iTunes Store version that worked ok.
In the meantime, you could try converting it within iTunes to a different format. Use the menu command "Advanced >> Create xxxx version," where "xxxx" is whatever you've set in preferences as your "Import settings." It needs to be different from 256k AAC, which is what you have already from the store.
If iTunes doesn't choke on the conversion, chances are your iPad will accept it.

I was having the same issue with music and movies but it had been ok before. The sync would freeze on a random file and then i had to take out the USB cable to clear it. After trying all sorts of things i saw someone mentioning about Anti virus and firewalls. I am using McAfee so i disabled it as a test. After this i could sync music and movies without issue!!!!! So in my case the firewall/anti virus was causing a problem. McAfee updates itself a lot so I am guessing something has happened in a recent update that impacted iTunes.I am not sure if this kind of thing is also causing your problem but it sounds very familiar.

I'm totally frustrated by iTunes and don't know how to solve my problem. Like a lot of people on here I'm not able to sync or back up my iPad2 with my iTunes (version 10.4.1.10). I had the exact same thing with my shuffle - same error message saying that it was corrupt so I restored it (wiping everything in the process) and the same message came up as soon as it reloaded. Thank god I didn't try it with my iPod or iPhone first. So many issues with this new version of iTunes!!!!!!!!

It sounds like the iPad wasn't erased to me. If the iPad is totally cleared of content, there should be nothing on it and no backup to create.
Without connecting the iPad to your computer - Launch iTunes on you computer and go to Edit>Prefences>Devices. Do you see an iPad backup in there? If you do see it, delete it.

OK I managed to free up more space on my iMac HD to 148Gb. The sync and backup then ran OK! Afterwards there was still about 144Gb free. So it would seem that in order to create an about 5Gb backup file there needs to be about 30 times as much free space on the mac. This can't be right surely?

In my case, resetting the sync history and disabling the add-ins fixed the problem.

i've found a great & simple solution for this problem
just open your iCloud acc on iPhone
turn off calendars (it wil ask you to keep info or not - KEEP IT!)
and turn back on (MERGE!)
now SYNC it..
and that's it
PS in my case it was contacts so the procedure is the same..

Disconnect and restart the computer and reset the iPad:

That's not unusual. The USB ports on your computer most likely do not have enough power to charge the iPad efficiently. The device may in fact be charging, even though you may be getting a message otherwise, and even if it is charging, it is a very slow trickle charge and will take much longer to fully recharge the battery.

Yesterday I upgraded my iPad Air from 7.1.2 to 8.3 after holding off upgrading until now. Before the upgrade I backed up the iPad without any problems but since the upgrade I can't back up the iPad – it goes to step 2 of 4 and stays there for ages, and then I get a pop up box saying "iTunes could not back up the iPad "... iPad" because the iPad disconnected."
I've just tried setting up iTunes on another PC and backing up the iPad to this iTunes and got the same error message so it's not the iTunes setup on either computer (Windows 7 PCs).

iTunes 11.0.2.26 on Win 7.
I bought a song on iTunes for my wife the other day and she put it on her iPad.
After some syncing, iTunes is trying to sync that song to my iPad.
Everytime I get an error saying 'iTunes could not copy (name of song) to the (my iPad)
because the file could not be converted'.
Is there some way I can convert that song?
I'm not sure how it got to my wife's iPad and won't get to mine.

The song showed in iTunes on my iPhone with a little cloud icon with a download arrow.
Tried downloading it and syncing. Same error.
Deleted the song from my iPhone.
Deleted the song from my iTunes Library on my PC.
Then re-downloaded the song to my PC's iTunes Library.
Re-sync'ed the phone. Went fine.

However after part of the Itune update completed a message came up on the screen
saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a net work resource that is unavailable.
Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)
