Itunes could not synced with my iphone

I don't know what's happened, the itunes gave the following error message :
" itunes COULD NOT SYNC CONTACTS(CALENDAR) TO IPHONE BECAUSE THE SYNC SERVER FAILED TO SYNC TO PHONE"
i cant sync my iphone with my outlook 2007 cause of that.
thanks.

I have the exact same problem. It must be some sort of corruption in the contacts database or processes because if you only sync the Calendar, it works fine.
Also note that when it bombs out of the Contacts sync it does not complete the Calendar sync.

iTunes could not sync calendars to iPhone because the iPhone disconnected
I have spoken to Apple a couple of times in the last week (approx 2hr) apple support said it could be a Microsoft issue I have spoken to Microsoft and read endless information from the net and it seems that Microsoft is not the issue.
I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled, reset all settings in Settings\General on the phone, reset sync history on the iPhone, upgraded microsoft office 2003 to 2007 and I am still getting the error message.
I have a iPhone 3G, pc is running windows 7 and just upgraded to microsoft office Home and Student 2007 and Office Outlook 2007.
    iTunes version 11.0.2.26
    iPhone iOS 6.1.3
I have the same error on my wife's iPhone as well.
    Any help would be great.

Thanks midwestcraft. I had this problem and your answer solved it for me.
Thought this further info may be of use to some who wants more historic dates in their calendar.
I had "do not sync events older than" unchecked and the input field set to "0". When I changed it to 180, it worked perfectly. I've found that I can increase this number to "545" - anything higher causes the error. This seems to coincide with some strange multiple-entry events in my calendar.
Don't know if this will be a clue for somebody to fix the issue.

  • I get error message iTunes could not sync calendars to iPhone because an error occurred while merging data

I get error message iTunes could not sync calendars to iPhone because an error occurred while merging data on my wifes phone how do you correct problem without losing calendars info on phone.

    One thing that might help.
    1. open itunes preferences from the edit menu and click on the devices tab.
    2. check the box to disable syncing for iphones connected to itunes and click ok.
    3. Then click the button to reset sync history.
    4. Now click ok to close the preferences window.
    5. connect the iphone to itunes and go to the info tab.
    6. scroll to the bottom of the info page and check the box to replace the ical data on the iphone.
    7. then click apply on the bottom right of itunes.
This will overwrite any events on the iphone, including any events that has become corrupted.
    Hope this helps

  • Message "iTunes could not sync contacts to iPhone because an error occurred while committing data"

Hello all. I recently replaced the HD in my MacBook Pro. Just after, I retrieved my old files from the Time Machine backup, which I made just before the replacement. During the first sync of my iPhone via iTunes and while I was trying to sync my contacts I saw the message "iTunes could not sync contacts to iPhone because an error occurred while committing data". After that, I lost my iPhone contacts (I have them only from iCloud). The only problem is contacts, all the others (Calendars, Apps) are normally syncing. Does anybody has a solution? Thanks in advance!

    hello,
There was a similiar posting that I have seen from others and they found out that the back up was bad. https://discussions.apple.com/message/6139533#6139533
I would use a previous backup (earlier one) to the one you have tried to just do.

  • ITunes is not syncing with my iPhone 4S

    Hello,
After recently upgrading my iPhone 4S to iOS 7. My iTunes music will not sync with my phone and the current music on my phone just skips each song over and over again. Does anyone know the cause and the fix to this problem?
    Thank you

Here's what I did. If you have an existing playlist and add a song to it, drag the whole playlist into the phone icon. It will ask if you want to Replace the playlist..YES. In my case i added one song in the playlist to test it. It synced the one song and also kept all the other songs but it didnt run through every song, so it was really fast. This is what I would do...drag and drop. Also, I shut down my phone and started it again, before I did the sync. I hope this helps

  • ITunes will NOT sync with my iPhone 3G

    Hello
I've performed a CLEAN Restore on my iPhone and I did not restore data.
I've installed my 86 applications and used a few of them. I've decided that I want a "backup" incase i need to restore my iPhone and I don't want to lose my text messages.
So I plug my iPhone into my MacBook USB port using the Apple supplied USB cable. iTunes detects my iPhone and I click SYNC.
iTunes indicates that it's syncing but after waiting 48 hours, iTunes cancels the Sync and tells me that there was a problem with 100 items. At this point, I realize that iTunes for some reason forgot that my machine is already authorized to play the iTunes content so I have to deauthorize it then reauthorize it.
Then I perform another Sync and this time iTunes skips backing up and says "Syncing with <name of phone>..." and it doesn't do anything.
I restart the MacBook and the iPhone 3G and try again but same message.
I look into the preference pane and then view the backup list and I don't see ANYTHING that is even close to 8/26/2008. I find my other iPhones on the list but not the one in question.
What can I do to back it up?

  • Itunes is not syncing with my Iphone

Although my Iphone is not activated, I have a deactivated sim card in it.  I have been using it for an ipod for the past month and it had no problems.  Yesterday i plugged my phone into my computer and it said that it could not access its content, and that i had to restore it.  After restoring it, i used the backup saved to my computer, but now it will not sync any of the music or the apps.  It says on the phone summary on itunes that there is music and apps on it, but the phone is not regestering it.

    Sorry - pop up states
Itunes cannot read the contents of the iphone 5 - Go to summary tab in iphone preferences and restore factory settings

  • Itunes could not sync with yahoo address book because an internet connectio

    Hello Windows users,
My original iPhone has been unable to sync contacts to my yahoo account. This was not always the case, for many months all was well with syncing.
In searching for a resolution to this I found http://www.thisllwork.com/2008/05/itunesyahoosy.html
This solution did not work for me. I've also tried to delete the Yahoo! mail account on the phone, sync then add the same account back to the phone, sync again. I still get the internet connection error.
What has worked is syncing to my Outlook, then switching the sync menu back to Yahoo! and clicking 'sync' once more. Then Voila! I have synced my contacts to yahoo! online. **This works only once!** without removing the iphone from the dock, or closing iTunes I click 'sync' again and get the error message again.
I know many other Win XP users have this issue, I've read the posts, and noticed they get archived without resolution. Would Apple like to help? I'm considering buying a Macbook. +*hint hint *Wink *Wink+

  • ITunes could not sync contacts to iPhone ...because the iPhone disconnected

I just updated to iPhone 1.1.4 and get that message while trying to sync contacts.
    Running iTunes 7.6.1.9.
    Anyone getting this error. Workaround?

It will clear the contacts off the iphone, but you can sync them back from the computer when you set up as new iphone.
If the issue persists after you restore the iphone, something could be corrupted in the contact manager on the computer.
Try creating a group in the contact manager and sync just that group.
Move a few contacts to that group and sync the iphone.
If the sync goes through ok, move a few more contacts and sync again.
Keep going through this process until you run across the issue again.
then you know that it is something in the las group of contacts that you moved to that group that is causing the problem.
    Hope this helps.

  • Itunes could not sync contacts to iphone because contacts are in use....

Just bought phone today... Error states can't sync contacts because they are in use... How do you close the contacts setting on the iphone and then sync again?

Am I'm the only one with this issue?
As I investigate the crash logs it appears that the contacts db is corrupted and that is what is killing the phone, contacts, and mail etc settings.
I have my contacts backed up several places so I'm not worried about losing them.
Anyone know how to wipe or recreate the contacts db on the phone via an attached PC?

  • Some of the albums in the Beatles package I downloaded from itunes will not sync with my iPhone 5. Some songs won't play. They did sync to my iPad and they all play on my iPad. What can I do? I've already deleted all songs from the iPhone and re-synced.

I downloaded the entire Beatles collection from iTunes in 2011. Some songs skip and won't play. Some albums won't sync to the phone but they sync to my iPad. I've deleted the entire music library from my iPhone, shut the phone down, turned the phone on and synced again to add the music but now 2 albums won't even sync (Rubber Soul and Revolver). I've tried dragging the songs to the iPhone, no luck. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you may need to re-download the entire albums from iTunes. See this KB article for how to download past purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
I'd suggest doing it one album at a time. Delete one, download it from your purchase histor, then the next, etc.
