ITunes crashed mid-download

I purchased and was in the process of d/l-ing season 1 of "The Office". It looks like I got 4 of the 6 episodes. At the time, I was listening to something from my library and working on other things (outside of iTunes).
I'm trying to d/l these for an X-mas gift. I don't want to "re-purchase" the missing episodes, since I already paid for the whole season. But I don't see anything that looks like I can resume d/l-ing from where it crashed...
Any ideas??

Update: I was able to retrieve the 6th episode. The 5th shows up as downloaded in my history, but it does not appear in my Purchased list, nor in my Videos list (the other 5 are there).

I recently tried to update my iPhone 4 to the latest software version 4.2
It said that my iTunes was out of date and that i needed to upgrade to version 10.1. Which i did.
Once that was done i plugged my iphone in and tried to upgrade the software only to have itunes crash mid-download.
I've tried several times over the last few weeks and every time, iTunes encounters a problem and has to close...always during the downlaoding of the update.
Can anyone help?

First off, try it with another user account, (no you won't lose all your music - you don't want to sync, just update). If that didn't work then I would see if I knew someone with an iP4 and ask them if I can copy the ipsw file to the correct location. Use that and start iTunes again.
ps the second method is one that I assume works as I've done it with an iPod before.

Itunes Crashed During Download-Can't Resume Download

First, I am running Vista with a SATA drive. I download episodes of "The Office" to that drive them copy to a network location and play the files from there. This has worked the last couple of episodes. I am running version 7.0.2.16.
When I downloaded episode 19, itunes crashed during the download. Now when I check on the store icon in itunes, I get the message that "all purchases have been downloaded for this account". How can I get the episode I have paid for as part of a season pass?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Making Vista and itunes play together so far has been more trouble than it is worth.

Jim,
If you can't resolve it, you might just need to ask the iTunes store to let you re-download it. Log into your account on iTunes, go to Account Information, click on Purchase History, go to the download in question, and click "Report a Problem."
The iTunes Store is real understanding about letting folks try to re-download an item if they have already purchased it.

ITunes crashed while downloading album

iTunes crashed while I was in the middle of downloading an album. I was charged for all 16 songs although I only got 9 so far (before program crashed). How can I get the remaining 7 songs that I already paid for? Thanks.

I already paid for 2 songs and they both will not download it keeps saying connection timed out and i dont get what i am supposed to do it says error 3259 and i downloaded the latest itunes and it still does the same thing and i cant even upgrade or restore my ipod it just will not download does anyone have the same problem?? I just bought an album and while downloading iTunes crashed. So now I spent $8 and have no music to show for it. What can I do? I'm really ****** off...

My iTunes (7.0 and now 7.0.1) keeps crashing once it begins to download my purchased music. In fact, it locks up my whole computer. I've tried it four or five times now but get the same result seconds after it starts streaming down the files. Also, I've turned off my antivirus and Google Desktop Search to limit interference but to no avail.
A thought: is there a way to configure the music download so that it doesn't open simultaneous streams? I'd like to download the tracks one at a time instead of three or four at once.
Anyone found success with the new downloads? Looks like others here in the forums are struggling as well.

Itunes crashed during download

Hello all:
Recently, I purchased Pearl Jam's "Ten" from iTunes when the application crashed during the process. I have the receipt from iTunes charging me for the full download but only have 4 of the songs from the album. Is there anyway that someone may know of to complete the download without having to purchase the album or individual songs all over again? There were no clear details found on my receipt.

ITunes crashed while downloading purchased music

I bought some songs from iTunes and it crashed while I was downloading. It seems that the crash happened while I was downloading the first song so I was not able to download any of the songs I bought.
Is there a way to re-download these songs? Or is there any way I can prevent this from happening again? Other than get a mac of course cuz I can't afford it right now :P

ITunes crashes whilst downloading/restoring/syncing.

My iTunes simply crashes whenever it is doing anything, whether it be syncing (usually after 33 songs, won't sync any tv shows), restoring (I have a dead iPod now, can't restore) or downloading. I have tried everything I knew (using older iTunes, using older iPod software, changing accounts on the computer, to no avail). Does anyone know how to get iTunes working properly again?
Any help would be appreciated.

Im wondering if you pc meets syst requirements for itunes 9?
And if your pc is having any other issues?
Are you running a lot at once? Perhaps check start up menu for uness stuff you arent using all the time and disable.
And are you running more then one security software at same time inc pre installed type? If they are both updated live then theyll fight.

ITunes crashes when downloading a new song.

When I buy a new song on iTunes, and it is being downloaded it crashes my iTunes. It doesn't download, and I have to buy it some else. Does anyone else has this problem?

Yep, same here. Strange thing, the free stuff downloads fine, but god forbid I download a $1.29 song. I select song, press buy and all is well until the processing and I tunes stops responding and windows 7 pro 64 brings up a box with something about the program has stopped responding.
I'm forced to restart iTunes. Once back in, the song I had just purchased is nowhere to be found. Not in library, not in purchases, nothing.
I check my account purchase history, and sure enough, I'm charged.
This is with iTunes 64 9.2.1.

I perform an iTunes diagnostic and the only thing that was an issue is “iTunes helper” was not running
How do we diagnostic this without paying $$$ for every failed download???? I wonder if the free songs are on some different server.....
P.S Some songs need to be purchased twice before they stick, but right now, I'm playing Russian roulette with my purchase downloads.

ITunes crashes when downloading video. HELP!!!!

I have a pc and itunes 6. I want to download video podcasts, but every time I try to download one, iTunes will freeze and the Windows error come up. It worked before I installed service pack 2, but now it doesn't. Can someone halp me please?!

If Zevoneer's suggestion didn't work you can try just
clearing your whole library by pressing Ctrl+A & Del,
then adding it again by going File>Add folder to
library and add the folders you want.
If that still doesn't work (it doesn't let you clear
the library), uninstall then reinstall iTunes. That
should clear the library.
Well, looks like the simplest solution was the correct one. I tried to delete my library but it crashed when it got to the problem line item. So I ended up reinstalling iTunes and the line item was successfully deleted. (Now I get to recompile my library of 7400 songs and 200 videos. I'll get back with ya'll next month!)

but the song is not available in my library. I went up and Checked for purchases, but it claims all my songs have been downloaded. I scanned my hard drive but cannot find the song. I checked my account and it shows I purchased the song, but I don't have it. Who should I contact?

First, take a look here for some additional tips on how to look for the missing song, just to confirm that it's not somewhere on your system.
If you indeed can't find it, contact iTunes Store Customer Service and explain what happened.

Yes 2.0 is released and you can talk about that as much as you like.
But any the updates have not been released yet and therefore any discussion about versions, content, dates, etc is speculation. The Terms of Use are very clear, did you read them?

Crash mid-download

ok, everytime i search for my problems on the apple forum i can never find exactly what i want so sorry if this question is repeated.
i recently paid 7.99$ to download the entire 'album' of Radiohead - In Rainbows - From The Basement...its a live video recording of 10 songs by radiohead. i bought the album deal at 7.99 because i saved a few being that every track was .99$ After buying the album it went in its process of downloading each and every track. 2-3 at a time. all of a sudden my itunes quits on me. so i log back on and well, it never finished downloading and i only have 8 songs. what do i do? contact apple or is there something i dont know...Tracks im missing All I Need and Nude...my fav =(
OH! i already tried STORE > Check for Purchases...so dont suggest it. it seems when i have problems, the obvious is suggested getting me nowhere with my problems.

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

As long as you clearly state what you've already tried, people probably won't suggest it. If someone does, just smile to yourself, politely mention that you already tried their suggestion to no avail, and ask for additional ideas. No one here gets paid to help, so if someone suggests something inappropriate or that you've already tried, just be grateful that someone at least tried to help and move on.

I just downloaded the latest version of itunes for Windows and now itunes crashes every time i launch it

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes for Windows and now iTunes crashes everytime I launch it. I have tried re-downloading and selecting Repair with no luck. Any suggestions?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.
