ITunes crashes as soon as I connect iPhone, Ipad or Ipod Touch

Hello,
I have submitted this question before, but despite all kind of attempt, my iTunes (latest version) crashes as soon as I connect with a cable
- iPhone 5 (iOS 8.0)
- iPad
- iPod touch
It does NOT crush when I connect my Ipod Classic.
What I mean with crush: as soon as I insert the cable in the USB port, the name of the divice appears, it then looks as if is synching but after a couple of second the "spinning wheel" blocks and then there is no other way than forcing quit.
It is not the cable, because all devices can be used with iPhoto with the same cable.
I have reinstalled OS X
I have rebooted the iPhone
all the devices work normally on my old mac (which doesn't have OS X) and on PC.
Windows Parallel is installed on my macbook pro. Could this be the problem?
It seems that despite all recent updates, there is no solution to this.
Anybody with the same problem?
Any idea about how to solve it?
Thanks

Hello mimward,
It sounds like Windows can see your devices, but iTunes is not seeing them. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article named:

  • ITunes crashes as soon as i connect my iPhone 5s

Hi. I just recently purchased an iPhone 5s and updated it to iOS 7.1.2 as soon as I configured everything out of the box. This is my first ever Apple device. I downloaded iTunes so that I could sync all my data to my iPhone. iTunes works perfectly until I connect my iPhone. I've tried every possible solution I could find on the internet. I authorised iTunes, uninstalled and reinstalled it, deleted the folders it told me to, removed possible conflicting programs such as Samsung Kies and Blackberry Link, etc. The only thing I haven't tried is factory resetting the phone because I want to backup my iPhone, but then again iTunes crashes!!!!
I don't know what to do anymore. Any possible help or solution will be really really appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Hassan

  • ITunes crashing as soon as I connect iPod

    Hi
Just bought an iPod nano (7th) which is functioning fine.
Have updated my iTunes to the 12.0.1 version, also working fine and has transferred all my music and playlist information from the previous version.
However, as soon as I plug my iPod in, iTunes crashes just after it has recognised the device. It is calling it an APPCRASH.
    Any thoughts?

iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
    Symptoms
In rare instances, the setting to turn on Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may appear grayed out or dim. You may see the following when you tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
If this occurs, you can't turn Wi-Fi on, and when you try to turn Wi-Fi on, your device won't respond. If you're using iOS 7, Wi-Fi may appear to turn on and off in Control Center, but Wi-Fi won't respond.
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, please see these steps.

Your device has a hardware failure and only replacement or repair will fix it.  Take it to an Apple Store or an Apple authorized service provider.

  • IPhone, iPad and iPod touch Video

On the next iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you should really make it so you can screenshare, meaning you can take photos without the camera but you should be able to make videos. So when you take a photo, you press the home button and the turn off /turn on button at the same time quickly. If you hold them both at the same time for a few seconds, they should be able to take videos! It'd be a cool feature, considering skype is an app and FaceTime and people want to screen share. Hope it happens, and mention me for the idea! -Micah

  • Can't get my iPhone (iPad or iPod touch) to connect to wifi

I cannot get my iPhone 4s to connect to wifi in my home since the last two updates. It sees my network but says unable to connect. This not only happens to my iPhone 4s but to my iPad 2 and my iPod touch. Idk what else to do to get it to connect. My other non apple products work just fine on my wifi but my apple products wont. Please help me I am about to go crazy.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Do they connect to any Wi-Fi network?
If they connect to others, it's an issue with your router most likely.  Start by power cycling the router.
If they do not connect to any Wi-Fi network, then it's likely a hardware issue.  Although it is highly unlikely that 3 devices would have the same hardware failure.

  • I am having trouble synchronizing my calendars from my computer to my iPhone, iPads and iPod touch

Since upgrading to Mt. Lion I am having problems syncing my calendars thru iTunes onto my iPhone , 2 IPad 2's, 1 iPad 3 and iPod touch. Some things will sync and some not. My whole family syncs to iCal on our iMac but lately none of the appts we put on our devices are syncing with the computer and vice versa. This happens whether we try wireless or wired sync. Any suggestions?

Never mind:)  I finally found a post taht helped me figure out the problem.  You have to turn off the parental restrictions...duh!

  • Resolution Steps:  iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch library corrupted and showing ghost entries which will not play or music that is on the device in iTunes but inaccessible.

Issue:  iOS Music application either has items listed in the library that will not play; or has an empty library but iTunes reports that music is present on the device and taking up space; or a combination of these issues coupled with the inability to resolve the problem through the standard resolution steps of disabling music syncing to remove all music and then re-enabling or by enabling "manually manage library" and removing the items.
Additionally, attempting to restore from a back-up does not resolve the issue and the default response from the Apple Support Community is to factory restore the device and treat as new device, resulting in loss of all settings and basically starting from scratch.
Cause of issue:  Corrupted iOS device iTunes library (MediaLibrary.sqlitedb).  This database stores the iTunes Media records and related information such as playcount, lyrics etc.  It does not store information and settings regarding iOS Applications as far as I am aware so this should be safe.
    Resolution Steps:
Perform a back-up to your local computer rather than iCloud if practical.  This will be quicker in the event of issues.
Download a iOS device manager such as Phone View (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/) which will allow you to directly access the file structure of the device.  (This will NOT require an illegal jailbreak to be performed!)
Enable the Advanced View mode so the entire disk structure is accessible.
Browse to the following file:  iTunes_Control/iTunes/MediaLibrary.sqlitedb
Rename MediaLibrary.sqlitedb to MediaLibrary.sqlitedb-backup or similar
Hold down POWER and HOME on your iOS device until the Apple logo appears.  Release both buttons.
When device has rebooted, connect to iTunes and synchronise it.
iTunes will detect that the Media Library on the device is missing and recreate it based on the items that it has listed in the iTunes synchronisation record for the device.

I've found an easier way, just go to settings>general>usage>music. Then swipe it and press delete, i think this deletes the database described above, then re-sync, this worked for me anyway. Good luck, you need it with Apple software.
I don't have a large library of music on my iPhone 4s since I've only had it since Oct 2012, but since the update to iTunes 11 in early December, my album artwork has been all messed up.  Everytime I would try to add new music, it would assign the wrong album artwork to anything new coming in.  And in addition to that, it would also mess up album artwork of music already on my phone.  Everything looked correct in iTunes, but on my phone, not so much.  After trying to unsynch, then synching again, my frustration level was at an all-time high. This problem seems to be everywhere online, but no concrete solution for everyone.
I finally came across your simple solution (at least for me because of my small inventory of music) of just deleting all the music through the settings, and then re-synching to add back my music.  Now all of the album artwork is correct again.  I'm almost afraid to add new music for fear the artwork will get mixed up all over again! I still think my issue is somehow connected to the iTunes 11 update because up until then I had no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thanks for an easy solution that worked for me.

  • ICloud Calendar not showing up iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Just updated to iOS5 and OS10.7.2, all went very well.  Moved from MobileMe to iCloud, again easy, but now I have a problem that iCloud calendars are not shown on iOS devices.  Between my Mac Pro and iCloud no problem.
I have checked and rechecked all the setting on iOS, calendars are switched on for syncing etc in the iCloud setting, but CAL on my devices show no evidence of iCloud CALdev calendars!
This is very frustrating and I can't figure it out!!  HELP!!!!

I am having the same issue.  My iMac and MacAir calendars sync, and even my iPad (although I'm not sure why that is working).  iCloud shows up on the computers, but just my old mobileme shows up on my iPad and iPhone.  On the iPhone only one of my calendars shows up on the old mobile me address.  The reminders aren't syncing, either.  My mail works fine, and the contacts seem to be okay.  I can change something on my iMac, MacAir or iPad, and those all will change, but not the reminders or calendar on my iPhone.
I did the same troubleshooting as Rellis did above with no success.  I did have mobileme previously - not sure if that is an issue.  I have done all of the other suggestions as well-my addresses all match, checked all of the settings etc.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Well. This is not caused by any app nor is it a software fault in general. But someone told me, that the owner could have let change the screen after the damage that caused the dent. Anyway, this problem exists. The question is how many units are affected and why this is. However. Cheers.

  • I connected an old iPod from a different computer to my iTunes account and now my iTunes account will not let me download anything. My iPod touch will not take my password. How can I fix this?

I connected an older iPod to my new iTunes account to download my new library to it. Now my new account is not recognizing my password and I can not download anything to my library and iPod touch, can you tell me how to fix this?

Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts.

  • Connect the device to your computer. Open iTunes. Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list. Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos". Click Apply. but after that say's everything on my iPhone will be deleted

Connect the device to your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos".
    Click Apply.
than it says it'ss erase my iphone and sync with itunes library.
    what should i do?

It wil only erase the music and videos. Nothing else.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
