Itunes crashes when trying to connect to store

Question

Ever since downloading the newest version of itunes 10.2.2.14 i have not been able to access the itunes store. Whenever I try to connect to itunes online in anyway windows comes up with anerror box and closes the program. I have downoad and reinstalled the newest version of itunes three different times and nothing has helped. I have run  the diagnostics on itunes and it come up with a problem with not having a secure link to itunes but when i click on help next to the error windows shuts the program down. Here is a cxopy of the windows error.

That one can indicate disk or file damage, brandon.
The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you now access the store without the error?
