ITunes crashing on open- iOS 7. Baaaad!!!

iOS 7
-iTunes crashing out on open- very bad for Apple if users cannot download stuff!!!
-Emails delayed sending for up to 1 hour- many- not ok for me in business!!! Makes me look very bad-
They don't go into outbox or anywhere just disappear for 1 hour then turn up randomly. Creating problems for me!
-glitchy movement around safari- zoom and movements unresponsive. Cannot zoom into search on apple.com- glitches to top left of web page
-General use glitchy and delayed response.
-emails- writing in landscape - typing becomes invisible on right side screen

Apple lover- bought into the vision BIG TIME but recent software updates iOS 7 and lion have played complete havoc with my business and personal life.
Near nervous meltdown after 40% of 8 months of R&D (10 hours a day- personally plus team efforts) corrupted by iCloud and synced back to all devices. Then remaining 60% of R&D 'reset' by engineers without prior notice of action.
Deleted 100% of 8 months R&D for MAJOR global environmental project.
Too far Apple. I really hope and pray Apple can get back on track for all our sakes. This can't keep happening..we need a solution.
Yesterday created playlist. 6 hours. Loaded iPod for our restaurant. Only two hours- affects the atmos
Of the restaurant! Unacceptable. Why and how. Just random deletion.. Not ok.

Is this beta. The image for Yosemite is a very big rock, appropriate as this OS sends your mac back to the stone-age. iTunes crashes on open, iPhoto won't update, Safari shows text without graphics, can't get Java 8 'cause Safari "can't find server". Wifi slower than a crippled snail. Does anyone know how to uninstall this rubbish?

  • Why does itunes crash upon opening after the software update?

Why does itunes crash upon opening after the software update? Everything worked fine until I decided to update this morning and as soon as the computer rebooted, the error message appeared.  Is there anything available to fix this?

I answered the same question in a similar post.  It's all to do with the wireless sync.
I used the following method to stop iTunes from constantly restarting -
    Open task manager
    Select the 'Processes' tab.
    Look for 'iTunesHelper.exe'
Select 'iTunesHelper.exe'  then click on 'end process'
    Hope this helps.

  • I finally know why my iTunes crash when open!

SInce last month, my iTunes crash everytime when open.
I asked the question at: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6021712
Later, I found that turn off wifi make iTunes work fine.
Finally, today i know the true reason, because I use a global proxy by .pac file (for across the great wall)
If connect apple.com default with proxy cause iTunes crash.
If you have a similar problem, please refer to this.

    Hello loosekiwi,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
You can use the following article to troubleshoot unexpected quitting in iTunes for Windows.

  • Itunes crash when opening the store, windows xp, error in "***.dll"

    Hi,
every time, when I select in iTunes 11.1.5.5, windows XP (32 Bit) the store's start page (menu store/start page), it crashes.
All information I can get from windows after that, is that itunes crashed in w.t.f.dll. (sorry , this board does not allow to type the dll's name without points between the characters)
I already tried to completely uninstall all apple software and reinstall it after a windows restart, following exactly the steps
    under http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Unfortunately the crash still appears as before.
Has someone found a fix or a workaround?
    Best regards

As I've just posted in Voo-Doo's thread that isn't an error message I've seen myself.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Itunes, crashes, wont open 10.6.3

i have downloaded the latest itunes and have found that it is really slow, and it crashes it take over 13mins to open and then crashes, im also a paied developer for ios and cant install ios 6 in my devices,
    please help me,

Start by making sure you have the latest version of iTunes.
If that doesn't do it, you may be seeing something like what is described in this Apple article -> Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
If it's what you're seeing, you can try resetting Winsock as a temporary fix or folllow along with the article.
    1. To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
    2. Enter the following command:
    netsh winsock reset
    3. Restart the computer and test the issue.
Note:  If the issue returns, third-party software may be reinserting the LSP.

  • ITunes crashes on opening..absolutely will not open!!!!!!!

I was using 7.2 since it was upgraded with no problems, then all of a sudden it won't open. I can't pin it down to anything really. I'm getting really ****** at this point. I've tried re-installing, trashing the plists, running disk warrior, verifying permissions, everything I can think of and I keep getting the same error. Anyone else having this problem? I've had so many problems with this new iMac, I just about want to toss it out the window...
    Please help if you can!!!!!!!

    1. Disable the Unsanity APE - you can do this in the SystemPreferences
    2. Remove any iTunes plug-ins
    3. If they don't work, create a new account (SystemPreferences -> Accounts) and see if iTunes will launch there.

  • ITunes crashes on opening after update

After an iTunes update today it crashes as soon as I open it. It seems like the same problem as discussed a few topics down, but Quicktime is working fine and I have no extra QuickTime files in the \Windows\system32\ directory.
I've tried all the removing and reinstalling fixes suggested by Apple but the same thing still happens.
    Error signature:
AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 9.0.3.15 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000000dd
I'm running iTunes on XP in VirtualBox inside Ubuntu 9.10. I only have this set up to use iTunes and it has been working perfectly up until the update today.
I had my iPod Touch plugged in while iTunes was updating, it also tried to update and that crashed and locked my iPod. Now I've got no iTunes or iPod

I haven't reinstalled the newest iTunes, but I checked all QuickTime player functionality before I removed it yesterday and all worked fine.
Thanks, liza. That rules out a whole cluster of possible issues.
When you get 9.0.3.15 reinstalled, the next thing we'll check on is whether it's a systemwide issue or if it's associated with a specific user account. (This isn't a cure in itself, but it will help us narrow in closer on possible causes.)
Head into your User accounts control panel and create a new user account with full administrative rights.
Now log out of your usual user account and log into the new account. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.) Try launching iTunes 9.0.3.15 in there. (If it does launch, the iTunes Setup assistant will run. Don't add files to iTunes, just let her eventually launch to an empty library. Your content is safely tucked away in the usual user account.)
Do you get a proper launch in the other account, or do you also get the launch error?

  • Itunes crashes on opening with new 10.5.1 install

I have just installed Leopard and the update. When I open iTunes it crashes and I get the message:
"The application iTunes has quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the iTunesX Visualizer plug-in."
So what's up? I now have the newest coolest release and I can't listen to any of my music.
    Thanks for your help!

Did you repair permissions after the 10.5.1 update? If not - repair permissions with Disk Utility - restart the Mac and repair permissions again. Try to open iTunes - if no go then go to your iTunes folders in both the main directory Library folder and in your user account Library folder and see if the plug in is there - if so then move it to the Desk Top and see if that helps.

  • ITunes crash upon opening

Started appearing several days when the program would freeze, not doing anything in it, and need to be reopened. 3 days ago it just stopped. Any attempt to open either manually or by logging in ipod touch (4gen) is now meet with windows alert "This program has stopped working - searching for a fix", it fails and tells me to go to apple. Repaired and uninstall/reinstalled countless times and it keeps crashing instantly upon opening.

  • ITunes crashes when opened

Just installed version 10.5 on Windows 7 64 bit laptop. Every time we open itunes a message comes up saying windows is closing the program. I've re-installed itunes as well as making sure I have all of the windows updates. Any help?

I guess I should modify the headline. This night I moved all data away from the NAS to the local iMac hard disk. The problem stays the same. I tunes crashes shortly after opening. So it seems to have to do with the itunes mediathek itself.
So forget about the NAS. Any ideas now?

  • Itunes crashing when opened since latest update with windows 7

About a week and a half ago Itunes said I needed to update. I did that and ever since then it has been crashing whenever I try and open it. Is there a fix or anything? I'm not finding much about it and it would let me contact apple support unless I pay $20. I'm lost. I've trying running as admin, restarting, repairing. I have no reinstalled and would like to avoid that because I'll have to go through all my music again and readd it and also uncheck and check all the boxes for syncing to ipod since I don't want everything to do that.

Another idea has come to mind...
Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
    cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
    Reboot the computer. Any change?
Ah, we've posted at the same time. When Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases is enabled, and you are signed into your account, iTunes checks the store for your purchase history and attempts to reconcile that with the content of the library. Any purchase that isn't your library will be displayed with a cloud symbol and you can stream or download the item. With it disabled there is nothing to do. Please try the suggestion above and see if it has any impact on whether you can successfully enable the iCloud items.
