ITunes credit card issue.

Recently changed Apple ID, then installed latest iOS on my iPad.  Ever since I have been unable to purchase anything on the App Store etc. every time I click to buy item I get a message to contact support. Says it cannot connect to iTunes Store even though I am logged in to my account etc. can anyone help. I am totally frustrated.

So what did Support say when you contacted them?

    iTunes doesn't allow a credit card that was issued by a bank in another country (possibly because it's a way of confirming that you are able to buy from a country's store) - you will only be able to use a credit card issued by a New Zealand bank. Or you could use iTunes gift cards as your payment method, as far as I can see they are available in New Zealand.

    Actually no, they almost certainly don't. I very much doubt that Apple does, or even can in any practical way, track and log the IP address for every transaction. Even if they did:

    the police would have to request the information. Whether they have I can't say, but depending on UK privacy laws it might take a court order before Apple could release any information about users. And even then, the police would have to go to extensive lengths to try and find the culprit; first tracking down which ISP manages that particular IP address to find out any location from an IP address. And then working with the ISP (again perhaps requiring a court order) to identify where that IP address is. And that would be assuming that the location wasn't just some Internet cafe or other anonymous location as is most likely.
    While I understand your frustration, it's just not realistic to expect the police to take that much time away from more serious crimes to go to all the effort of tracking down what is probably a minor (relatively speaking; I'm sure it's not minor to you) crime. Sorry, but your best, and perhaps only, recourse is to work through the fraud department of your credit card issuer and hope that they will indeed label the purchase as fraud and reverse the charge to your card.

  • More iTunes-Credit Card Woes

    Having searched the forum but for a similar problem, but not finding it, I'm hoping maybe someone else has experienced this and can point me to a solution.
    The problem: Can't register for an iTMS account.
    The reason: When registering, after entering my CC # and billing address, I get an error saying that "...the credit card is not valid in Canada."
    My twist: My CC is issued by a US bank, but my billing address in in Canada (I'm living in Canada while I attend graduate school). Of course, I use my CC here regularly without a hitch. I even used it to purchase my PB from the Apple Canada store online. I don' know for sure, but I'm thinking that Apple's database sees my CC as a US card, and thus won't let register an account for iTMS Canada.
    The kicker is that I can't register an account for iTMS US either, because my billing address is in Canada. I've emailed iTunes support, but it's been of no help at all. I get a canned response about my billing address needing to be in the country I'm trying to register an account in.
    So, to summarize: US credit card + Canadian billing address = no iTunes account for either country. WTH?
    Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas? Thanks...

    Sorry, but the iTunes Terms of Sale for the Canadian
    iTMS say that they cannot accept cards issued by a
    bank outside of Canada. So I think that unless you
    can get a credit card issued by a Canadian bank,
    you're going to be out of luck and will have to buy
    prepaid cards (they're apparently available through
    Walgreens in Canada) and use those.
    Hmmm. Thanks - I read the iTMS Terms of Service, which doesn't mention the requirment that the card must also have been issued in Canada, but never read the Terms of Sale, which as you pointed out, clearly state that non-Canadian cards are a no-no.
    Alas, that does leave us trans-nationals in a bit of a pickle, but maybe I'll try the prepaid card route.

    On the bottom of your card, UNDER the barcode, you will se a long number. That is the card serial number.
    Go to apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html to email the iTunes store support.
    Tell them that the redemption code was scratched off, and give them the card serial number. Someone from the iTunes Store will email you back with the cards redemption code.

  • Apple/iTunes credit card and Apple Pay

    I have changed my Apple/iTunes credit card and now I am unable to enter that card into Apple Pay. I don't get the prompt at the beginning of the entering process to enter the Apple Store credit card as I did before I changed the card.

    I Think that the reason so many of us are asking is that it did offer to add the card that was used in iTunes even though it was not supported. When I first setup Apple Pay it asked me if I wanted to use my card associated with iTunes. My card was an unsupported GM Master Card. I chose instead to add my supported Chase debit card. I could never get it to ask me again. And I cannot add the GM card through passbook.
    It to may not have completed adding the iTunes card if I had chosen it first, but sure acted like it might had I chosen it first. I think that is why so many of us were asking.

  • Credit Card issue to create Deliveries

    Hereu2019s the situation. 
    We have 2 types of Orders.
    DROP SHIP ORDERS - The part to be shipped is actually in an inventory managed location. No transfer order need to be created. This sales order has a Credit Card that is denied.
    NOTE: The order has to be pre-authorized, and then Denied and then get picked from an Inventory Location.
    1. Use VL01N to create the Delivery.  No error (warning) message was displayed indicating credit card issues.
    2. Change the storage location on the line item to the inventory managed location and enter the delivery quantity.
    3. Press Save. A error (warning) message is displayed indicating credit card issue.
    4. The system lists the delivery number that has been created.
    5. Execute VL02N to view the delivery.  the delivery does not exist.
    TRANSFER ORDERS -
    1. Use VL01N to create the Delivery.
    2. You do not need to change the SLOC value.
    3. Press Save.
    4. A Transfer Order is created automatically and the Delivery exists.
    I copied BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_111 into BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_911 to make some changes.
    The problem is when I use the below code it works fine for DROP SHIP ORDERS. For TRANSFER ORDER, a delivery is created but a transfer order is not created.

    When I comment the below line TRANSFER ORDERS work fine but DROP SHIP ORDERS show that a delivery is created but actually its not created.

    I tried using the debug but the program would not stop in this routine.

    I looked into OSS NOTE 303052 as suggested by you and that's already implemented.
    Did you look at the part of the note that suggests changing the message from type 'I' to u2018Eu2019?  That is in the comments at the top and is a MODIFICATION that isnu2019t part of the note itself:
    If you want to prevent the creation of a delivery without sufficient authorization, you have to change the message type from 'I' to 'E'.
    You've probably already tried setting a break-point on the form itself, FORM BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_111, correct? 
    Turn on system debugging?
    Perhaps your form isn't being called at all?

  • Credit Card issues!

    I´m having a problem with credit card, I use the same credit card in the past months with adobe subscription, and this month they tell me to update my card informations, but everything is ok.
    I chat, and make phone calls to customer support but no luck. I contact my bank and everything is ok.
    For security reasons the last card was cancelled and I update the card infos, the card that I have today, and in the last 3 months adobe receive the payment.
    I don't know what to do, the licensing days are ending.

    I checked your account and I have seen an issue regarding the payment.
    The credit card issuer is blocking the payment and therefore it can't be done.
    I would suggest you to please, verify with your bank and card issuer and assure you everything is unblocked on their end.
    Please specify them the Electronic Banking System/Service might be blocking the payment, that Service is part of every banks.
    Please let us know when you will have more information.

    I called Apple support and they brushed me off on this issue which I have seen on MacWorld. I can't download my purchases via either Itouch, Itunes for Mac or Itunes for Windows. AND then I get a message that I need to verify my credit card and I get a message that it was decline. Yet in Purchase history it shows. And earlier I used same card to purchase ILife.
    Bank says card is OK.
    Made other purchases.....
    So, Apple what gives?
    As a customer and someone who gives you credit info, I feel we deserve answers?

    Go try another online music download retailer, such as Amazon.com.
    You can buy MP3s from any source, and add them to your iTunes library. If one store is too much trouble, try another.

  • Itunes credit card ban

    I have been using the came credit card with iTunes for 3-4 years.
    All of a sudden I was being asked to verify the payment method.  I thought it was because I got a new iPhone5 this weekend and it needed the verification because the account was being accessed by a new device.
    I was only asked for the CCV number.  It would not accept it and replied that the card was no longer allowed to be used on iTunes.
    I tried online on my PC.  Same issue and same response.  [Checked with my bank and was told there were no 'issues' with the card.]
    I called iTunes customer support.  Told the card was "banned" from use on iTunes.  Asked repeatedly 'why?'  iTunes customer support refused to say anything other than the card was banned.  They suggested that I simply enter a new credit card for iTunes.  But, I wanted to know why the card was banned.   No luck.
    I specifically asked if there was fraudulent activity.  No response other than the card is 'banned' and a solution was to simply enter a new credit card.
    Reviewed my iTunes account.  No fraudulent activity.
    Decided to review my bank account.  I found nearly a dozen fraudulent charges in the amount of $20 and $10 using the card on iTunes.
    I called back and was transferred to the iTunes fraud department.  That rep immediatly confirmed that the card was banned because of fraudulent activity that was discovered by Apple earlier in the month.  Becasue the fraud was used to purchase gift cards, Apple could not issue a refund; the request had to come from the bank disputing the charges.  The charges have been disputed.  Waiting for the refund.
    WARNING:  Apple discovered the fraud but did NOT contact me or my bank.  The matter is even made worse by the fact that the iTunes rep did not tell me why the card was banned and simply asked for a new card on my iTunes account.  Had I done that I might not have completed the research on my end and might not have found the fraud.  Unconsciounable.

    If my bank uncovers fraud, I would expect them to contact me.  But, if Apple discovers fraud, I would, likewise, expect them to contact me.
    Bank had no idea about the fraudulent charges.  Neither did I.  Granted it was my fault for not reconciling my bank account and seeing the fraudulent activity. 
    Apple discovered the fraud and probably did some sort of internal investigation.  I have no idea how long Apple knew, but 14 days ago Apple 'banned' the credit card.  They made no attempt to contact me to at least inform me that the credit card associated with my Apple ID was banned.  Right, I agree that they should make sure I am who I am and not the perpetrator; they have information on me (including my contact information).  They only asked me for my Apple ID and Password.  But they choose not to say anything, not to attempt to verify my identity, etc.
    I will be happy to go to their feedback site.  But that site is closed and the feedback is not available to Apple customers.  I posted here to be of assistance to other Apple iTunes customers who find themselves in a similar situation.
