Itunes cut off ends of songs names

My songs names are cutted by itunes, a tried to convert with the ID3 converter but nothing has changed...
Thank you for your help and sorry for my poor english.

Dude, I first noticed the problem on iTunes a while back. I've been growing my mp3 collection since 1999 and its about 80gigs now so you can imagine how ****** off I was when iTunes cut all the song titles that were long. I have songs that are now named like this: Michael Jackson & The Jackson Five -
Chris CA you are totally missing the point here. iTunes didn't warn Neesh and I that it was going to completely f*%k our song names up. The first time I installed and ran iTunes it also took my 60 gigs of music and sorted it into folders, most of which were named "Unknown Album". It also copied the music into the iTunes Music folder so that there it took up twice as much hard drive space.
Anyway Neesh, I tried Media Monkey but that was worse. Now I have a bunch of files that are .mediamonkey files. What the **** is that?
So far, the best mp3 player was the original WinAmp. Its since been messed up so we're all stuck with iTunes. I wouldn't be surprised if one day it deletes all my mp3's that weren't purchased from the itunes store. So now I am backing up all my music.

  • ITunes continuously cutting off ends of songs while playing

Whenever I play music on iTunes on my macbook, the song always finishes before the actual end. The start and stop time have not been changed for any of the songs. It never finishes in the same spot and it will also count that as a 'play' of the song even though it hasn't been played through fully. This is frustrating me and I have no idea how to fix it.

I have not had a major problem with this, only two of my songs have done this, but what I do to fix it is go into itunes and right click on the song and click get info. On the options tab just check the stop time box and the problem should be fixed. It doesn't keep the problem from happening again, but it is a way to fix one song... hope that helps

  • Itunes cuts off end of tracks

iTunes is cutting off the end of some songs on CDs I'm importing. It wouldn't be bad if it was just the fade out for the last 10 seconds of the song, but it's cut off a few tracks right in the middle and I can't seem to make sense of it; ie it isn't because of a dead spot in the track that might trick iTunes into think the song is over and doesn't the data from the CDA file tell iTunes how long the track is anyway? Re-importing the track fixes the problem, but it's really annoying.
Is the iPod compatible with Nero? I'm using ACC at 256vbr, could that be the problem? Should I switch to MP3? I'm not a big fan of MP3 because it seems more prone to pops, static, etc.
    Any help or advice?
    Thanks,

  • ITunes cutting of ends of songs

Just today, I opened iTunes to listen to music, and it started cutting off the last 10 or so seconds of songs. It would then play about 2 or 3 seconds in the background of the beginning of the next song. I restarted my computer to see if it was that, but iTunes still kept doing it. I was only listening to one album, and I tried other albums to see if it was just that one, but I can't really tell because the album I was originally listening to has songs that are sort of sequential and one song continues the next. (It's kind of hard to explain...)
But anyways, does anyone know what's wrong with it? Or more importantly, how to fix it? I imported this CD into iTunes about a month ago and I haven't had problems since, but now I can't get it fixed.

I'm having the same problem-would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

  • Why are my downloaded songs from ITunes cutting off before the song has played?

I am new to ITunes.  I purchased 6 albums. Why are my downloaded songs starting in the middle and cutting off before they have played?

Try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

  • New version of iTunes cuts off end of track

I've just updated iTunes and now have Version 7.6.1.9. Now when I import a CD, the last few seconds of the final track are missing. This is very frustrating - can anyone help?

Same issue as forum I started called "iTunes 7.6.1.9 import - last track on CD cuts 6 seconds short"
PLEASE Launch iTunes --->Help--> provide iTunes feedback ---> report the BUG!!
I can confirm the workaround does work..import as AIFF and then set import setting back to whatever you nortmally use. Right click on your track and select Convert to MP3 or AAC or whatever
To save time, I filled all 3 drives in my system with discs and did the operation in parallel
    eg
Select all tracks but the last on each disc
    Import as MP3
    Then change to AIFF
select only the last tracks on the 3 discs
    Import as AIFF
Then change import settings back to MP3
Right click each file and select convert to MP3
It's a lot of work but I had several I really wanted to get done

  • Why won't Apple fix this problem of iTunes Cutting off songs?

I've owned seven different ipods and three iPhones. On EVERY ONE OF THEM iTunes cuts off many songs after two or three seconds of playing. We're talking here about songs either uploaded from commercially purchased DVDs or the iTunes store. I have no bootleg music, I don't customize anything related to iTunes. I just buy music and download it into iTunes from MacBook Pro laptops that are similarly as standard as one can get. Yet when I listen to the albums of songs I've just purchased, random songs play for two seconds and then change to another song. When I've researched this issue across the Web I've found detailed complaints going back as early as 2004 and I can't believe that EVERY Apple iTunes system and device I've purchased over many years has behaved in this exact manner. What are these "Apple Support Communities" FOR is Apple fails to either correct the problems they report or, worse, even acknowledge problems that are documented by thousands of users of a wide variety of iTunes related products? I don't want to have to use a work-around or a reload or some of the other Rube Goldberg-like solutions others have suggested in these and other forums. I'm spending thousands of dollars on Apple equipment and software and I simply want the Apple iTunes devices and music that I buy to WORK AS ADVERTISED, which they don't. I just want my music to play as it is supposed to play. Why can't Apple make that happen?

That's happing to me, any solution ?

  • When I attempt to import some regular, commercial CD's, iTunes returns the message "The song names for this CD could not be found online.  Do you still want to import the songs?"   This has happened for four CD's in a row now, Eagles - Hotel California.

    Hi All,
When I attempt to import some regular, commercial CD's, iTunes returns the message "The song names for this CD could not be found online.  Do you still want to import the songs?"   This has happened for four CD's in a row now.  Today, after importing some other CD's in the regular way, all of a sudden, iTunes won't recognize the Eagles - "Hotel California" CD, the Eagles "**** Freezes Over" CD,  "The Best of Roy Orbison" or "Milestones" by Miles Davis.
    What happened?  Anybody know?

We've gotten the same error at the same time. I guess we need to let this play out. In the meantime, I'm gonna update iTunes.

  • TS5181 My iTunes Radio doesn't show song name please help

My iTunes Radio doesn't show  song name what can I do

I suspect that the encoding of the Korean in the stream is not Unicode, which is what iTunes requires. iTunes cannot fix such things by itself.

If you mean that the file and folder names are cut off at 40 characters long, then that is a "feature" of iTunes for Windows.

  • Itunes cutting off songs.  Alternate media player?

I have been noticing songs ending abruptly/being cut off, but only randomly.  I downloaded 28 songs 2 days ago and due to the nature of the music, it was totally unacceptable to have songs ending abruptly or being cut off!  3 hours on the phone with Apple, in conjuction with itunes support only resulted in me getting a refund.  I really wanted the music!  So, I downloaded Amazon's Cloud player, did a test download of 3 songs, and....... guess what?  Same  problem.  I'm really thinking I'd like to try another media player.  I assume itunes is my default media player, so any suggestions out there?
Macbook, MacPro and iphone5.  Same problem on all devices.

itunes and iOS all up to date.

Ok, just spent awhile on the phone with Apple...we came up for a quick fix.  It's basically the same as TimWillz with one addition:
Delete the tracks from itunes, empty the trash, then re-download using the purchased or iCloud in the Itunes store.  The purchased link is in the quicklinks bar on the right of the itunes store homescreen.  A cloud should appear once the songs are deleted, and trash emptied, and you can redownload the songs.
I didn't do anything with the "simultaneous downloads untick"  as TimWillz suggested, maybe it was already unticked.  But regardless, this seemed to work.
As for why this happened, apple engineering is going to look into it and should have a response to me in a few days.  I'll update.

  • ITunes cuts off some of my songs at exactly 3 minutes 6 seconds.

I have a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion with up to date updates.  Strangely, the songs which used to play right through, now stop at exactly 3 minutes and 6 seconds.  The songs also cut off when I play then through my iPhone 4 after sycing.
When I play the songs through VLC Media Player via Finder, they play right through perfectly.
I wonder whether this is a fault that's come about through one of the Mountain Lion updates recently.
I've seen a lot of posts with people's songs being cut off short but none make reference to the exact cut off time of 3 minutes, 6 seconds.
I have gone into Get Info for the songs in iTunes and specified the ending time of each song to the song's actual length but they still stop at 3 minutes 6 seconds.  Most of my songs play through fine - it's just a bizarre handful.
I hope there's a workaround and would appreciate a solution.
    thanks for your time.

    Hello arcuspilot,
I would be concerned too if some of my songs were not playing all the way through in iTunes.  Thank you for all the details you provided.  You have gone through some really good troubleshooting steps already.
The next thing I recommend is checking to see if any third-party plug-ins could be causing the problem.  You can find the steps to do that in this article:

  • ITunes cutting off songs

I have a music collection over 60 Gig on iTunes and I have been noticing lately that certain songs just cut off in the middle and skip to the next song. Now when I go back to the song that skipped I try to play it to the part it skipped and it is complete silence for 10 seconds and then the song continues where it was 10 seconds later. This is happening to random songs in iTunes. Has nayone else ever seen this? Right now I am just keeping track of the songs that skip and re-importing them over again and the song is fine again but this is happening continually to different songs and becoming a bit of a pain.

I have the same problem. Most people tell you to turn the crossfade off in prefrences, which I have done, but I still have the problem.

  • ITunes cutting off songs Mountain Lion

Many of my tracks are cutting off at various points while playing. This has happened since I installed Mountain Lion. (could be highly coincidental)
They are a mix of songs I purchased from iTunes and ripped from my CDs.
I have not adjusted the stop times in the song options.
The option of "deleting and re-download from iTunes" isn't appropriate either as not all the songs are from iTunes.
    Thanks for your support!

  • Song purchased from iTunes cuts off

Bought an entire album on iTunes for one song and when I go to play it in iTunes it will only play the first 1:45 (it's a 16 minute song!) It obviously didn't download correctly but I'm not sure what to do. It also cuts off on my iPod. The rest of the album seems to play fine but of course the song I want is "album only." Help!

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library and then download again using the Purchased link in the right-hand column of the iTunes Store home page.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.
