ITunes decided to reset its self and I have lost everything.

Left my computer on for an hour and i came back, clicked on iTunes and it has lost thousands and thousands of my music and all my apps. I done a system restore on my computer and got all my music back, but all my apps are missing. If i re download the apps from Itunes and sync my ipad it will lose all of my saved game data. help?

I use to have a iTunes account with my old computer, and I have lost all my iTunes music, some purchased, some downloaded from another source. Now I'm using a brand new computer (Windows) and I have opened a NEW iTunes account, but I now I need to figure out if it is possible to recoup my music content that I originally had. I had, I believe around close to 300 songs on my account ;(......Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Again, Ronald

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content.

  • I activated secure virtual memory on snow leopard and now have lost everything

Hi, wow I could use some help. I was curious and activated "secure virtual memory" in the security settings on my iMac 2.16 Ghz Intel core 2 duo and restarted. Now I can't access any of my files and the "users" folder won't open saying I don't have sufficient privileges even though I am not prompted for the administrator's password.  Every account seems to have reverted back to basic settings. When I try to open the finder I get a message saying:
"The home folder for user "-------" isn't located in the usual place or can't be accessed. The home folder or Users folder may have been moved or deleted. If the home folder is located on the network, the server may be temporarily unavailable. If you continue to have problems, see your system administrator."
I have backups on an external hard drive with time machine. How can I restore my computer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

It appears I have resolved the issue on my own. I was able to change the permissions of the "Users" folder by right clicking and choosing "get info". I then was able to access the folder and saw that all of my information was still there. Whew!! And now that I've shut down and rebooted my desktop appears to be back to normal. I did hit the ? for information about the "secure virtual memory" option in security settings BEFORE I selected it and restarted, but the information about it was totally lacking so unfortunately this leads one to explore...

  • Apple repaired my MacBookPro and I've lost everything

Apple repaired my MacBookPro and I have lost everything.  How can I restore everything (downloads, applications, etc)

    Margaret,
what repairs did Apple do on your MacBook Pro? If Apple replaced your MacBook Pro’s internal disk as part of the repairs, then you really have lost everything.
If you don’t have a backup of your MacBook Pro from before it was repaired, then you’ll need to redownload and reïnstall your applications.
Once your MacBook Pro has had its downloads and applications reïnstalled, then you should seriously consider purchasing an external disk (ideally with at least three times the capacity of your MacBook Pro’s internal disk) and use it for Time Machine backups. That way, if your MacBook Pro needs to be repaired again at some future date, once you get it back you’ll be able to restore your internal disk’s contents to the way they were before the repair.

Hi, to get your iPhone  4 back to normal, here're two ways for you.
    1.  Use Dr.Fone for iOS. The free trial version can fix iPhone screen of death. The free trial version can do that, you don't have to pay.
Just download and install this software on your computer and connect your iPhone 4 to computer with a USB cable. When it detects your iPhone 4 is abnormal, click Restart the device to get your iPhone 4 to be normal.
    2. Use iTunes to fix it.
Step 1. Make sure that the latest iTunes is installed on your computer.
Step 2. Plug into a USB cable to connect your iPhone4 to computer.
Step 3. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for about 10s.
Step 4. 10 seconds later, release the sleep/wake button. But continue to hold the home button until a message comes out, saying "iTunes has discovered an iPhone 4 in recovery mode, you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes".
Step 5. Click your iPhone 4 in the left sidebar to show the device control panel on the right. Then, click Summary.
Step 6. Go to Backups section and click Restore Backup.... In the drop-down list, choose a backup file and restore to your iPhone 4

  • My phone reset it self and says "active iphone"

My iphone reset it self and once i unlocked it, it made me type in my apple id to activate it. The thing is i changed my apple id email awhile back so its a different email then what it says it is. Its the same apple id i just changed the email awhile ago. So would that change anything?
once i type in my id & password it says "could not activate iphone: your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavaliable. Try connecting it to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes.

So you have to manually update, (I had been getting over the air updates)

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • IPOD RESETING ITS SELF

My ipod is just reseting its self. it keeps showing the apple logo and does nothing else but reset. i dont know whats wrong can someone help.

Mine did this aswell... my response may sound funny, but here is what's happening, and what I did to correct it. In my case, the hard drive was infinitively reseting because the needle on the drive was knocked out of place. Taking the iPod and hitting it on the palm of your hand rather firmly, corrected this issue for me... if this kind of bothers you, simply take it to your local Apple store and they'll replace it for you..
