Itunes deleted my purchased items

I was watching one of my tv episodes on my laptop, when itunes shut down all of a sudden. Then when I tried to open it again it told me to pick a file, which I had two options, I picked one and all of my purchased items except for two songs were deleted. I closed itunes manually and picked the opposite folder, but my items were still deleted. I had purchased two seasons and a number of songs which are all now gone.How do I get them back?

I'm trying to delete apps in iTunes Library and from the iPhone.
1. Goto Library > Apps then I deleted the apps I dont use.
2. Goto the iPhone, select Apps then deleted apps from there that I'm no longer using.
3. Click Sync. Then I get the following warning:
iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone “4S 16GB iPhone” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPhone back to your iTunes library? If you do not transfer these purchased items to your iTunes library, they will be removed from the iPhone.
4. I clicked 'Dont Transfer'. This is fine as I dont want the apps on the iPhone anymore.
5. I ejected the iPhone.
6. Later, I reconnect the iPhone again to iTunes. The warning appears again:
iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone “4S 16GB iPhone” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPhone back to your iTunes library? If you do not transfer these purchased items to your iTunes library, they will be removed from the iPhone.
7. Clicked 'Dont Transfer'.
8. Then I tried 'Transfer'. This transfered "something" .. I dont know what transferred as I had deleted a few apps.
Why does this warning keep appearing everytime I reconnect? I'm not sure what it means or what it's meant to do.
Please can you advise me? I dont know what I'm doing wrong.

Don't transfer, right click the device in iTunes and select Back Up.
Though, the iTunes interface is designed to be computer - phone and not the other way around, you may need to use something else to preserve your data.

You can, if you have a balance on your account and it covers the amount of the IAP that you want to buy then it should be automatically used for the purchase - if it doesn't cover the IAP price then any remainder will be charged to your credit card.

If I delete a purchased item, would I be able to download it again?

Was just wondering, if i delete a purchased movie/video from iTunes from my computer (and actually remove it from my computer, meaning goes to my trash) would i be able to download it again from iTunes in the future?
I ask this because when i removed a purchased file from my Movies section, it was also removed from the "Purchased" list under Store. Which got me to worry.

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system or you inadvertently (or deliberately) erase something. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You may find that the movie is sitting in the Windows recycle bin. If so, just drag it back into the iTunes window and it should copy it back to the correct place. If, however, you emptied the Recycle Bin and you haven't made a backup of the movie, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase the movie.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

How long for iTunes to 'Find purchased items on iPad' 30 mins so far..

Started a second synch on my iPad and it has been stuck on 'Finding purchased items on iPad' for 30 minutes now.
Are new purchased made on the iPad difficult for iTunes to find?

That is definitely not good! I too have a UK 32GB WiFi iPad bought from the Apple store on Friday but I have faced no problems. Are you sure that you haven't forgotten about a screen protector you've put on or something?
I suggest you ring Apple support ASAP or even better, take it back to an Apple store!
In my amatuer opinion, it looks like a coating has started to remove. Have you had it under any exceptional circumstances like extremely high heat or moisture?

Make a smart playlist based on iCloud status not purchased. Select all tracks in list (cmd + A) then delete tracks (option + delete). As tracks have already been deleted from your hard drive, you will not get message to keep or move files to trash but you will get message telling you that the tracks will be moved from the cloud and will no longer be available in the cloud.
Doing this will clear iTunes match. Do you have a back up of your music on an external drive?

I have a a iPhone 3G and I purchased a song on the phone and when I sync it with iTunes it gives me the error "Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." How do I fix this?

iTunes not running.
Right click>Get info on the iTunes folder.
Set the permissions to Read/Write for you and click Apply to enclosed items.

Delete previously purchased items

I have some items that came with an album that I just don't want to download. When they pop up in the' "Downloads" section of iTunes... The stop and go away. However the next time I got to download other items... They come back and I have to delete them again.
Is there a way I can delete them for good so I won't have to go through downloading them????

No, sorry, there isn't; not from your end, anyway. The easiest thing will be to just complete the download.

Unable to use iTunes balance to purchase items on games

My father sent me an iTunes gift card to purchase GEMS for my Clash of Clans.
Since I did not have an Apple ID, I, thus, created an Apple ID using the iTunes gift card as the payment method (this then act as "redeemed" iTunes gift card).
Everything was setup perfect except the fact that when I tried to buy the GEMS from Clash of Clans, it will not allow me to purchase them.
I had written to Apple, and all the Customer Support said was "I'm unable to help you further as your iTunes account is non-compliant". Then, he/she just gave me a link to Apple iTunes' Store Terms and Conditions.
My questions are:
1) is there away for me to fix this issue do I can use the money in my account; or
2) send the money back to my father via iTunes gift card?
If any of you can help, I'd appreciate it very much.

When I tried to purchase the gems, it said "please contact apple support".
The support did not say "why" it is non-compliant. He/she just gave me a link to the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions.

I get a download error in iTunes store for purchased items since update. It will not download the items waiting. How can this be fixed?

Since latest update, I get a download error message for 25 songs that are waiting to download. It says to "tap and try again" but still does not download. How can I get them downloaded? They are showing in my iTunes on PC but not on phone.

The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).
dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

Missing "Purchased Items" Folder

My wife accidently deleted the "Purchased Items" folder under the I Tunes Store Header.
It apparently tracked her play history, and she can't find where it went.
Is there a file of it anywhere, and how can it be restored?
Her actual purchased music files seem fine. She tracks her play history and last time played thru it so she feels lost without it.
I checked the "Trash" but it wasn't there.
Ideas, suggestions?

I have a similar problem in that items I have "bought" do not show in my Purchased Items or my iTunes list.
I recently, on four separate occasions, purchased +4 episodes of the BBC Planet Earth series 1 in HD+. I was initially surprised that both the HD version and standard version was in download list. Since I only wanted the download to play on Apple TV (also I did not want to pay for both versions)
Since this was my first purchase of an HD title I deleted standard version from the download list.
When I got my "invoice" I reported a problem with Apple iTunes Store. The response was that both versions are downloaded for the HD price. They pointed out that should I wish to sync a copy to my iPod touch this version would be required. They provided a re-download of the "non HD" version, a button appeared in the bottom of the iTunes window.
On the next 3 occasions I let it download both versions. However I do not have a copy of the non HD versions in my purchased items or in the iTunes list.
In the finder view the .m4v files exist in the TV shows folder how can I get these into the iTunes library (so I can sync to the ipod) and the purchased items.
+File>Add to Library+ does not work and Apple iTunes Store cannot offer advice!!
