Itunes detect my Ipod but not show data and menu

When I connect my Ipod to the computer (running xp sp3) , Itunes see the device , but when I click in it , Just appears the IPOD logo , no sync button or memory Status .

How ca I fix it ?
When I try to connect to Itunes Store , Itunes not connect (stop at middle process) but without errors messages
The first turn-on of the Ipod was in other computer , is that the problem ?

EDIT : After 2 days trying to make it work , while I was writing this discussion , the Itunes start to sinc "magicly" and now detect the Ipod .
I think that must be an error in the product registration or something like that .

At this point it would probably be better for you to use the 800 number. Have all your e-mails ready to forward, if needed, to whoever you end up talking to. Don;t let them off the hook. An hour on the phone is much better than weeks passing e-mails through a support site. Also contest the charge with your bank or credit card.

Songs On iPod, But Not Showing Up In Song Count

I just added 312 songs, and now have 5832 songs. However, my iPod still only shows a count of 5520. The songs are on the list and everything, and the memory taken up is correct, they just don't show up on the count. Anyone know what's wrong?

I also have the same problem. No matter what I do songs by the bands 'Blessthefall' and '8 Foot Sativa' will not appear on my iPod. I know the songs have synced to the iPod, because when I look on my iPod on iTunes I can see the songs. But when I try to find them on my iPod there not there.
Whats up with this??

PS. I HAVE tried reseting my iPod, I have tried removing the songs from my iPod AND iTunes (and adding them again of cause). I have also tried changing the songs to AAC and ID3 tagging them, with no success. Both my iPod and iTunes are fully updated.

I can't figure out why my iPod is not recognized by pc and everytime I try to sync the backup takes forever and eventually just freezes iTunes, it is very fustrating and I am wondering now if there is a defect with the iPod. This iPod is a replacement to another iTouch I had that stopped working and that one used to show up on 'my computer' as IPOD and this one does not appear at all. I have tried very thing I find in forums and nothing seems to answer my question.

Itunes detects my 5S but not the 3GS. Trying to restore the device to unlock it. Tried everything listed! any ideas

I am trying to restore my old 3GS. As a part to unlock my device I need to restore the device. But iTunes does not show the phone on the list. The phone gets recharged though! On the other hand my 5S works perfectly fine. I have installed the latest version of iTunes and tried all steps mentioned in the site but it is in vain. Anyone know how to overcome this? Any ideas?

So your iPod Touch appears in iTunes but not my computer? Is that you are saying? If so, that is supposed to be the case. Your iPod Touch will not be recognized as a separate mounted drive. For more information, see this article.

Please help. ipod will not show up and i have tried everything

i got my ipod two days ago. ipod nano 4gb.
when i plug it into my computer it comes up with 'do not disconnect' and occasionally a small circle icon in the top left-hand corner. the computer recognises that there is a 'mass storage device' connected, but the ipod doesnt appear in itunes or my computer.
when i unplug the ipod it displays the apple symbol and then goes to the language selection menu. after i disconnect it i also get a message saying that the file could not be saved to the drive because it was interrupeted or something like that and i should try storing it somewhere else.
so thinking that maybe this was it being updated, i let it plugged in all day while i was at school because surely that would be plenty of time for anything to load onto it. But when i got home today it did the same thing.
I have two computers and the same thing happens on both.
I have tried it using my sisters usb cable, still nothing works.
Any ideas? Oh on one of my computers it doesnt let me uninstall itunes as well.
And when I try to open the updater to restore the ipod it freezes the application and i have to do controlaltdelete and close it.
I am SO angry about it right now.
Since i only bought it a few days ago do you think i could get a repleacement from the store where i got it or will i have to go all the way through apple.
I havnt been able to use it once and it is making me very frustrated, please help me if you have any ideas.

OK since you using 2 computers, we will first focus on the one that will not uninstall iTunes, afterwareds we will get the ipod working on one PC first.
On the PC that will not uninstall iTUnes, goto control panel>add and remove and try if you can to uninstall iTUnes AND quicktime. Then go here and roll down to "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
Once done disable any antivirus or security programs, then goto apple.com to download and install the latest iTUnes.
Also on BOTH pcs make sure you have "ipod updater 06-28-2006" you can download and install it here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
Once iTunes is properly installed on this PC, you need to only connect your nano to the main PC you use for now so we can get it working, then we'll focus on the other PC if needed

Chat Messages do not show date and time of buddies logging in and out.

If I keep my buddy chat with friends open, it used show the date and time that they log in and out. Now after updating to Yosemite, it does not and also will show the last message exchange as something way older that the last chat session. Not the actual last exchange. Why?

I realize that my needs are outside of the normal editing workflow. I am a private investigator and last week I shot over 6 hours of surveillance video on a Sony video camera. Within this 6 hours of video there is at most 2 minutes of actual footage of my subject. So what I wanted to do was just import the parts of the clip I want, so I can avoid importing the whole 6 hours, and then add a text title of some sort that shows the date/time. My problem is that once I get this clip I have easy way of establising the TOD short of taking the clip capture time and then counting up using the SMTPE Timecode. In this regard iMovie makes it easier because I can just hover over the clip and see the TOD of that specific frame. iMovie on the other hand would force me to import the whole 6 hour video so i'm left moving between both programs which is less than ideal.

HT1476 If you have another charger for the iPod but not the original and you have it hooked up to your computer and the iPod is dead it has the little charging sign then it goes away and my computer says its not reconizable. Help me, please!

Photo library is shown in iPod but not showing when I sync with iTuens

I am using iPod touch with IOS 5.1.1 and iTuens 10.5.
I have a library in the iPod that contains photos, I am not able to see these photos when I sync my iPod to iTunes.
Is there is a way to move all the photo libraries safly from iPod to my laptop ?

For photos/videos taken by or saved to the iPod , those in the Camera Roll album:

If they were synced from a computer y need a third-party program like PhoneView or TouchCopy to copy them from the iPod to a computer.

Went through all the trouble shooting shown on the help/more info menu and still the same thing.
I can get the nano to stay connected to my comp only if I leave the Itunes error up and dont click ok in Itunes and then I see it in my devices on the comp!!!

Bookmarks saved but not showing up in menu

I have saved many bookmarks but the new ones have not been showing up in the drop down menu. When I bookmark a new page (command+D) all the bookmarks show up. They also show up when I export the library (see link). But when I open my library (also see link) or use the bookmarks tool bar they don't show up. What gives? The only way I can access my bookmarks are to export them from the library. I have already checked that I don't have a problematic extension or another profile.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
If you can't remember your password to that site then you need to look for a link on that site to reset the current password and let the server send you a new password.

HT1363 screen on my classic iPod does not show anything and cannot restore

Brand new iPod Classic and the screen has gone blank...unable to restore, some error message pops up, not pleased with this product as this is the third one in a year! Any ideas how to rectify this problem?

Connect the iPod to the computer and try to restore the iPod via iTunes.
If iTunes does not see the iPod, place th iPod in recovery mode and then try to restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

If that does not solve the problem you may have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is inorder. I doo not like that the corner gets hot.
