  • Itunes did not install propery

i tried to burn a cd from itunes but it said that i didn't have any cd burning software. i haven't had any problem burning cd's before so i didn't get why it wasn't working. i tried reinstalling itunes, but when i finished and opened up itunes, it said: itunes was not properly installed. if you want to import or burn cd's, you must reinstall itunes. i tried reinstalling it again, but it still doesn't work. i have windows vista ultimate

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". (If you're running iTunes 11.0.x you'll need to bring up your menu bar first to see the Help menu.) Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. (Use your Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut to paste.)

the title is the error I get. I'm running on an older box, still has vista on it. I've followed several guides to fix this problem, including :
*uninstalling every apple program, in a ridiculously specific order, rebooting, making sure there are no folders left, then reinstalling as administrator
*doing the above but with the aid of byetunes
*repairing every iteration of the .net framework software compatible with vista
and still nothing. are there any further ideas on how to fix this?

  • I updated to the iTunes 11 and now it is telling me my iTunes is not installed correctly...

I updated to the iTunes 11 and now it is telling me my iTunes is not installed correctly. I have tried to reinstall with no success. Help?

It did this to me too. I just went to Apple's website where you can download Itunes for free, and hit download again. It will ask you if you want to replace or fix the current version you have. Click yes and it will re-download and should work

Hi Doug! I was having the same problem but after reading a lot of answers I found the solution. First of all you need unistall ALL THE SOFTWARE OF APPLE from your computer, I mean BONJOUR, QUICKTIME, ITUNES, APPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE, APPLE MOBILE DEVICE SUPPORT and the other one that is from compatibility with apps of apple, after that you must verify if this folders are removed if they don't then remove it:
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files\iTunes\
    C:\Program Files\iPod\
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll need to confirm that the following folders have been removed:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod\
Then if you have ccleaner you can use it to clean all registers left, then reboot and try to install iTunes 11.1.4 again as administrator... That works for me, I hope that helps you too...

  • A few weeks ago I had to reinstall itunes on my PC because the latest itunes update did not install properly.  Ever since doing that something called Mobile Me keeps popping up whenever I open email (outlook) and slowing it down. How do I remove MobileMe

A few weeks ago an itunes upgrade did not install properly on my PC so I had to uninstall itunes and everything associated with it.  I was able to reinstall itunes and it works fine including syncing with my ipod.  However, now whenever I open my email (outlook) a box pops up stating MobileMe Services has stooped working. This happens a couple of times after I click to close the program.  This a nusance and really slows down getting to my email.  From what I've found MobileMe was something that used to be used by itunes to sync mobile devices but is no longer used by itunes.  I can't find a way to remove this MobileMe from my PC.  I've tried going into Contol Panel then Programs and Features to uninstall it but there is no button there to uninstall it.  Any suggestions on how this can be removed?

Do you have a backup that you can restore from? Your old hard drive seems to be the problem.
