I connected it, open Itunes and then, nothing. I checked on various web site to fix my problem (delete Itunes and install it again) but it doesn't work at all.
i can see my Iphone on my computer, but it seems that something blocked it.
if someone as a clue, it will be really great :-)

  • I just installed update version 11.1.4.62.  Now Itunes doesn't recognize my iphone or ipad.  My wife just installed the same version with the same result.  The problem is clearly a problem with itunes.  What's wrong with itunes?

I was running the previous version of itunes and it worked perfectly.  I just installed the latest version of itunes (version 11.1.4.62) and restarted the PC and now itunes doesn't recognize my iphone or my ipad.  I'm running Windows 8.1 on my pc.  I tried diagnostics to no avail.  The diagnostic didn't recognize either device.  As the directions advised, I closed itunes, disconnected the devices and stopped and restarted the apple  mobile device service,  That didn't work either.  My wife, who also has Windows 8.1, has the same problem.  She installed the new version and it doesn't recognize her devices.
Until now, itunes has been totally reliable.  I am convinced the problem is with itunes.  Where do I go from here?

I resolved the issue by doing the following:
    1. Uninstall iTunes and every Apple application (device support and such).
    2. Uninstall bonjour.
    3. Reboot.
    4. Go to Apple and install iTunes.
It worked.  When I opened iTunes (after reinstalling) it recognized all my devices, music and video.

  • ITunes does not recognize my iPhone 4-problem solved

iTunes woudl not recognize my iPhone 4, and i finally figured it out why.  (I am W8)  Went to control panel, device manager, and expanded portable devices. I happened to have my iPhone plugged in to a USB port, and it showed up.  Clicked on the iPhone, clicked on the driver tab, and updated the driver.  Now it connects to iTunes.
So apparently the driver in my iPhone 4 was the problem.  The TS1538 article above did not address this issue.  I still think it has something to do with the iTunes 11.1.1.11 update, because my phone and my wife's iPhone 4s worked before the update and didn't after the update.  My guess is this is the problem many are having right now.

    Hi karwilson,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, this article may help:

  • ITunes dosen't recognize my iPhone 5s.

I did everything on this website that it said to do when itunes didn't detect my iphone and still it didn't work.
So I tried again and found out that the apple mobile device usb driver wasn't listed in my device manager, so I followed this websites recommendations and it didn't work as well. I have no idea what to do now. PLEASE HELP ME.

So have you completed this section?  What was the result?
If the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not listed
Disconnect the device from the computer.
Save a screenshot by pressing the Home button and the Wake/Sleep button at the same time (the screen should flash briefly). Note: Taking screenshots and saving images on iPod touch requires iOS version 2.0 or later.
Reconnect the device to the computer.
Open the Device Manager in Windows as follows:
Windows XP: Click Start > Run. In the resulting dialog type devmgmt.msc and press Return.
Windows Vista or Windows 7: Click Start. In the dialog, type devmgmt.msc and press Return. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click "Continue".
Windows 8: Move the cursor to the upper right corner, click the magnifying glass, type devmgmt.msc, and press Return.
Expand all the sections labeled below (not all sections may be listed):
    Imaging Devices
    Other Devices
    Portable Devices
    Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Look for the entry that recognizes the device as a camera. This entry should be called Apple iPhone,Apple iPad, or Apple iPod.

  • ITunes no longer recognizes my iPhone 4

I have had 3 iOS devices connecting to iTunes on Windows for more than 4 months.  For some reason iTunes no longer recognizes my iPhone 4.  My iPad and iPhone 4S still work as they should.  Windows sees the iPhone 4, but it never shows up in iTunes.  I followed the advice for getting services restarted in Windows, but since it's only one device that's an issue I'm thinking there may be an issue in the iPhone 4.  Ideas?

try this, it worked for me...

  • 2 things: iPhoto isn't automatically copying all my imported photos into an iPhoto album folder AND ever since i upgraded my MacBook 120GB to Snow Leopard, iTunes won't recognize my iPhone.

So i have a 120GB MacBook that's about 4 years old (just updated to Snow Leopard--been working in Iraq, i'm a little behind).
Never had a problem with it.
I also have an iPhone 4 which i've had for about a year (up-to-date software as of about a month ago).
Never had a problem with it.
I've had iTunes for years of course (up-to-date).
    Never had a problem.
    1.
Now my iTunes won't recognize my iPhone since the Snow Leopard update.
iPhoto will recognize my phone, but iTunes won't.
Went through all the preferrences and i can't find anything that isn't set properly.
iTunes Helper is used during startup.
    Everything seems fine.
    Any help?
    2.
I use a WD external hard drive to back my Mac up every week or so.
I recently realized that half of my pictures from iPhoto are not copied to the external.
    They haven't been transfering over.
So i snooped through my folders and as it turns out, iPhoto hasn't been copying the pictures i import from my iPhone to iPhoto and saving them as .jpg files in the pictures folder (or iPhoto album or whatever) like i think it's supposed to.
My pictures folder has approx half of all my pictures in it, meaning at some point (probably 2 years ago) iPhoto stopped making the file copies of my imported pictures.
    I do not know why.
No idea how to fix it.
If i were able to fix that (with your help), would all the pictures that haven't been copied automatically copy to my pictures folder once i had the issue resolved or would there be a lot of dragging and dropping?
I've been clumsily and sloppily copying all my pictures to a new folder on my desktop and manually transferring that folder to a thumb drive (which i keep in my pocket) and my external (just so i have them in some form) in case my computer crashes or a mortar shell lands on my room and blows my computer up.
Can anyone please help me with any of this?
I can't just stoll down to the Apple store to ask the Genius Bar (I'm in Baghdad) and i don't have Apple Care so no one will help me on the phone when i call Apple.
    Thanks so much.

    hey mill1640,
Did you ever get your iPhone to register with iTunes? I just upgraded as well to Snow Leopard, and my my isn't recognized at all also.
If you did get this resolved, I would appreciate a little suggestion in the right direction.
    Many thanks,
    Josh

From the box the iphone came in:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.5.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.5 or later (free download fromwww.itunes.com/download)"

  • ITunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s

iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s.
Whenever I plug my iPhone into my computer it starts to charge like normal but iTunes does not recognize it. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps provided by Apple (Downloading the latest iTunes version, reinstalling iTunes, updating the software on my phone, restarting my computer, etc). I've also looked at various tutorials on different websites that showed other methods. Among these methods were going into the control panel Device Manager or the Services program and taking certain steps within said programs. It seems I have tried everything under the sun to get iTunes to recognize my iPhone and so far nothing has worked. I have no idea what to do which is why I've resorted to this. Anybody know what might be going on? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on my computer with the latest iTunes installed as previously stated. I've also just installed iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone and this has not changed anything. If anyone has any idea what is going on and would like to tell me how to fix it, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If you've gone through this article and made sure the Apple Mobile device service is installed and running, you should look at the security software on your computer.
To make sure it isn't the security software, you can either follow the steps in the article below, or you could just uninstall it and test again. Then reinstall it again when you're done.

I updated my iTunes to 11.3.0.54 yesterday and since then iTunes can't recognize my iPhone 4s and even an iPod
    what to do?

    Hello,
Only option is upgrading your Mac's OSX, since Apple will not allow iOS to go backwards.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...

I have an iPhone 5s on a windows 8 platform. iTunes is 11.1.4.62, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone and I am unable to sync. After the last iTunes update my phone wasn't recongnized and the phone asks if I want to trust the computer everytime I connect it. Other programs can access the photos and recognize the iPhone 5 but not iTunes.

Try holding down CTRL as you launch iTunes to see if it will repair the drivers.
    Or try Cerbu's post here.
Or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update.

  • I upgraded my iTunes to 10.7 on my MacBook Pro - after that iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4S 6.0.1 (10A523) in the iTunes sidebar. Solutions?

I upgraded my iTunes to 10.7 on my MacBook Pro - after that iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4S 6.0.1 (10A523) in the iTunes sidebar. Solutions?
(Both upgrades to the phone and lap-top were done based on Apples suggestion, so I find it strange it doesn't work automatically, which should be a basic reason for choosing Apples costly products!)

    Try rebooting your computer.
You might also try downloading and installing iTunes 11 which came out today.
