ITunes didnt purchase all songs with Buy Album

I wanted to buy the Fight Club soundtrack, but the whole album was Album Only. Since I wanted to get every song on it, this wasnt a problem. I clicked Buy Album, but for some reason, iTunes only bought the first 14 tracks off the 16 track score. I checked Complete My Album, but it's not on there. Any ideas?

Use the iTunes "Store" menu -> Check for Available Purchases.
If you still don't get them, go here and fill out the form: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
Use the purchase(s) problem category.

  • ITunes not adding all songs in an album?

    Hi all,
i've noticed i've added a new album of music to my itunes, however when I sync this to my iPhone 5 not all the songs are transferred over? This has happened more than once.
I have my music syncing set to push over all the songs, however it pushes over only a few (the current one had 18 songs and I got 6 synced over complete with the album art).
    Any ideas?

I have experienced the same thing for months now and was in false belief that there was something wrong with my songs. iTunes should go through all songs and play them randomly. There is absolutely no excuse for this not to work properly. Repeat option is completely separated. It's purpose is to play songs indefinitely. It shouldn't be necessary to turn repeat on for iTunes to play all songs while shuffle is on.
I will just never be able to comprehend how is it possible for people who make this software for years not to see this problem while they test the application (if they do that at all) and fix it. This is just ridiculous and pure nonsense.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • TS1702 I had to buy another computer, and itunes didnt redownload all of my purchases

I had to buy another computer, and itunes didnt redownload all of my purchases.About $40 worth of music!!

If they were bought via the same iTunes account and they are still available in the store but they don't show under the Purchased link for re-downloading then you can contact iTunes support and see if they can see why they don't show : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If they are no longer in the store then you will need to copy them from your backup.

I had trouble with a iTunes download.  Two songs of an album were not complete.  I contacted iTunes and they redownloaded the tunes.  My iTunes now has the complete copies.  The trouble is my iPhone will not accept/sync the complete copies.  It will only play the original incomplete copies of these songs.  I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync.  Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone.  What's up?  What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

  • How To Select All Songs In An Album To Play Them?

How can I easily select all songs in one album to play them?
Now I have to click the checkbox for each individual song. Surely, there is a shortcut for this??? I keep the library sorted by album. And, no, I am not going to do playlists.
And, by the way, why isn't there a detailed manual showing how to use the product?

If you turn on the Browser while in that list view, then the album art continues to display when you select a single album from the browser pane.
The browser has three columns. The right hand column lists the albums without album art. I found no way to change that behavior. Yes, I can search for the album by name, but that's not what I would normally do.
The album art continues to be displayed in the area below the Browser.
Why are you closing the Browser? You can navigate away from the window with the Browser in it and edit data on any of your other tracks. When you come back, the album you selected will still be selected, and it will stop playing at the end.
(I'm also not sure what you mean by "go back to the Library". When you turn on the Browser, you're still in your Library; it's just a different view mode. Are you navigating to a different playlist?)
I close the browser so I can see the list of tracks and albums in the library. With the browser open and one album selected (to play it), it is the only album visible in the library. I found no way to "navigate away from the window with the browser" - the browser is the only view of the library available at that point. I am not using playlists at all (except for syncing with my iPhone and occasionally to burn a CD) so, no, I am not navigating to a different (or any) playlist.
Aha. That's easy enough to fix: create a playlist (called "Editing" or something) containing all of your music. (You could make it a smart playlist, using the rule "Date added is after 1/1/1900"). Then, while leaving the Browser open in your main library window, you can navigate to your Editing playlist to do all your editing. Then your album will remain selected, and keep playing, in the main library.
iTunes's functionality is dependent on playlists. There are solutions to the problems you are having, but trying to solve problems without using any playlists is like asking for help with organizing things on the Desktop without wanting to use folders.
Here's another solution: Leave everything checked, as I said above. Create an empty playlist, and tell Party Shuffle to use that empty playlist as its source. Then, if you highlight tracks, control-click them, and choose "Play next in Party Shuffle," Party Shuffle will add those tracks and play only them, then stop (because it will try to draw the next track from the empty playlist, and not find anything). I just tested this; it works fine.
Sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. After messing around for 20 minutes or more, trying the iTunes (pitiful) help, and finding nothing usable about "Party Shuffle" (the so called help describes things I was unable to locate -- no Party Shuffle playlist, no source pop-up menu, etc.), I quit.
    Step-by-step:
    1) In Preferences > General, make sure the "Party Shuffle" checkbox is checked in the "Show:" options.
    2) Close Preferences, then select the Party Shuffle icon in the Playlists column on the left of your iTunes window. It's probably populated with random songs from your library at this point.
    3) Create a new playlist (command-N), but don't add any songs to it. Name it "Empty" or something similar.
    4) In the Party Shuffle playlist, in the lower left-hand corner, there is a drop-down menu labeled "Source". Select your Empty playlist from that menu. (iTunes will probably warn you that the playlist you selected is empty.) Note that the Party Shuffle playlist depopulates, because it is drawing its music from an empty playlist.
    5) Return to your library, highlight an album (or any group of songs), and control-click any of the tracks. Select "Play next in Party Shuffle" from the contextual menu that appears.
Party shuffle will play the tracks you selected. When it gets to the end of the selection, it will try to draw a random track from the Empty playlist, and fail, and stop playing. You can then continue to edit song information in your library, or navigate to the Party Shuffle playlist if you want see what's playing and look at the album art that's being played.
This solution does exactly what you asked for.

  • Label song with mulitiple albums

Below is a suggestion I have to improve iTunes. If you agree, please go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html and fill out the form with information about the suggestion to let Apple know that you want to see this feature in the next version of iTunes. If you want to improve upon this suggestion, please post you improvement on this thread so that others may have the benefit of your suggestion and may also suggest it to Apple.
What I believe would be extremely useful in iTunes is the ability to label a song as being on more than one album. The point of this would be that some identical songs are on different albums. Let's take for instance an artist who has several albums (like the Beatles) and several compilaltion, number ones, or greatest hits albums. Usually there is nothing special about the songs on the compilation albums, they are just duplicates of the ones on the original albums. If a person owns all of them and has stored them on their computer, then, in order to keep albums together, he or she has to have duplicate songs stored. In other words, if I wanted to listen to one album at some time and then a compilation cd with songs from the orginal album at some other time, I have to have two copies of the same song with different album labels just so I can listen to the complete albums. This can take up a lot of disk space (which is a very important consideration on an iPod, even the new 80gb models). In order to save disk space I can delete all my duplicates, but then I will have albums that are not complete when I listen to them because they have songs that are also on another album.
So please make it possible to label one song as being on more than one album. So when I browse by album, it will show up under each album. When I browse by artist or randomly, it can show that it is on multiple albums. This would be incredibly useful.

  • Not all songs in an album played when shuffling them

Ok, so I searched for info on this and can't find any questions that ask about the exact same issue...
If I select an artist (multiple albums) or an album and try to play all their songs (or all the album's songs) in shuffle mode, if I try to start off by playing any song other than the first one in the list (ordered by track number), then they all won't play. I've tried both selecting the starting song, then hitting shuffle, as well as hitting shuffle, then selecting the starting song.
When you turn on shuffle, what actually happens? Do the songs the "re-ordered" randomly every time you turn shuffle off then back on? If so, how do you get the song you have currently selected to be the first one in the list?

  • I have more songs than I can put on Ipod.  How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space? Thanks

I have more songs than I can put on Ipod. Will unclick some songs but one at a time is taking forever. How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space needed on iPod? Thanks

Why not try syncing a smart playlist that updates automatically every time you sync your iPod?
    Try something like this:
    1. Pull down File > New Smart Playlist;
    2. Playlist IS Music; click the plus button;
    3. Last Played IS NOT in the last 90 days;
    4. Select the option to Limit to xxx items selected by Random and click OK.
Name the playlist that is created something distinctive then sync you iPod with that. It will automatically update based on the last played dates of a tune and you'll always have fresh content on your iPod. Modify the playlist as needed to make it give you the results you want.

The songs which i had also went from my iphone. I dont know what happened. I updated my itunes to the latest one 11.1.1. But still no change . Can anyone tell me what is the problem. What to do?

    Hello babichanjacob
Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

When downloading a CD album, if it contains different artists, the album is split up into separate albums/icons. How do I get all songs into one album (just like the original CD)?

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. For iOS devices you may need to go to Settings > Music > Group By Album Artist > On.
For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

  • Family shares an itunes account and ALL songs loaded on my phone with ios 7. how do I get only my songs?

My family shares an itunes account and ALL their songs loaded on my phone with ios 7 upgrade. Previously, while I could SEE songs "Not on this iPhone" they did not reside on my phone.  How do I get only my songs?  Do I have to sync with my computer?  Help...

This is sad, as I am replying to myself. Upon further review I see that while all songs are LISTED, that are not actually there.  By going to Settings - iTunes & App Store - "Show All" I was able to "turn off" SEEING purchases not made on my phone.  Solved my own problem, but the way it looks in IOS 7 is confusing.
