Itunes disable transfer purchases

How do I disable this ridiculous "transfer purchases" every time I sync. WFT, Apple?  It takes me 20 minutes to sync!

i think you go to preference under what was the file tab. now it's all in the little upper left drop menu. under preference go to store tab and uncheck as many as you want.

Hi i wanted to transfer the music from my iphone to the computer with out erasing from my phone then when i called techinical suppost he told me to click transfer purchase (my name) and now the music i bought in itunes that was on my iphone 4 is all gone how can i get them back!!

Is the music not on your computer?
You buy one and only one download.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception, but they are under no obligation to allow.

  • Will hooking up my iPhone to iTunes and "Transfer Purchases" also transfer my music?

If I deleted all my music files, but the library still has the tracks (with the '!' symbol) and I transfer purchases, even though not all of them are purchased but ripped from CDs and such, would that restore the missing files?
If it doesn't is there anyway to restore the missing library files with my iPhone? An app? Thanks!

It will transfer itunes purchases ONLY.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use this to put all of the music back.

  • Authorizing iTunes to transfer purchases

I am kinda freaking out here because we just got a new computer and I want to transfer all my purchases to my new library but it won't let me.
It says this once I type in my account name and password to authorize:
"You cannot authorize more than 5 computers. You have already authorized 5 computers with this account. To authuroize this computer you must deauthorize one of the other computers."
This doesn't make any sense whatsoever since I have only had 2 computers and this new computer being the 2nd.
PLEASE HELP ME! Is it because of Windows Vista?

If your system crashes or you reinstall your operating system without deauthorising iTunes first, even a single computer can use up your limit of 5 authorisations. You can't deauthorise those dead installations individually. If you've reached your limit of 5 you have the option to deauthorise them all in one go from your iTunes Store account and start over again. *Just note that you can only use this option once a year*: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
To deauthorise all computers associated with your account:
    1. Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
    2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
    3. Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
    4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

  • How do I transfer purchased apps from my iPhone 5s to iTunes library?sse

  • Transfer purchases didn't transfer?

My laptop recently crashed so i got myself a MacBook Pro. i plugged in my iPod touch to reorganize my music and apps. I clicked the "Transfer Purchases from iPod" but unfornately only two songs were copied. D: how can i transfer every single purchase i made?
    please help, thank you.

Normally. When you plug in your ipod then go iTunes "File" -> "Transfer Purchases". The purchases files from ipod will be copied to your iTunes autoly. If it doesn't work, you can use an ipod to Mac transfer program to help.I personally use this Mac iPod to iPod/Computer/iTunes Transfer. It helps me to copy my Music, Movie, Photo, ePub, PDF, Audiobook, Voice Memo, Camera Roll, Podcast and TV Show etc from ipod to Mac directly and safely. It works well for me,you can give it a try.
    Hope it helps.

  • How do I disable transfer of purchases to my iPad when syncing?

Hello all. Let me preface this buy saying that I am an Apple software support person with over 15 years of experience (11 of that working for a Apple specialist).
Is there anyway to disable the automatic transfer of purchased items when syncing my iPad? I have looked around and no one seems to want to give an answer. They go on and on about how Apple wants you to transfer purchases and you really should let iTunes do this. I know all these things, but I am looking for an answer. Can this be turned off?
Thanks in advance for an answer (hopefully).
    Kurt.

If you mean go to iTunes preferences and under the store setting, make sure the choices of always check for downloads is "unckecked", I have been through that already. Any other ideas?

  • Cannot Transfer Purchased Music from iPhone to iTunes

    Hello,
I recently purchased a couple albums on my iPhone and downloaded them on the iPhone.  When I synched my iPhone to iTunes on my PC, I expected that these purchased songs would be transferred - that's what usually happens.
In this case, the songs now appear in my iTunes library, but they're greyed out, each with the small circular sync symbol on the left side.  I am trying to figure out how to get these songs into iTunes.
I've tried navigating to the iTunes store > Purchased, selecting "Recent Purchases" and I can see my songs.  There is a disabled button to the right of each song that said "Downloaded"... so apparently I'm not able to download them again...
Then I tried right-clicking my iPhone (while connected to iTunes) and selecting "Transfer Purchases" - one would hope that this would do it, but alas it's not to be.  The status window shows "Transferring purchases" very quickly, then back to normal (Apple icon).  The songs aren't transferred.
Any suggestions on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have resolved it somehow while waiting on the phone for Apple support.
I turned everything on my iPhone and in iTunes related to iCould to "off".  Glad Apple support had me on hold fo 45 minutes or else I'd never have found the time to fix this.  Glad I saved some $$$.
Judging by some of the other threads, it's probably wise to disable iCloud stuff if you don't live in the US.

  • I have mistakenly opened up a new iTunes account. Can I transfer purchases from one account to the other?

I have recently bought a new iPad mini and tried to set it up and share with my old iTunes account.
I thought I was changing email addresses for contact info, but was actually setting up a new iTunes account and paid for the £21 a year sharing service.
I have a few (not many) tunes purchased on my old iTunes account.
Is there a way of merging/closing my old account and transferring purchases across to the new iTunes account?
I could swap between the two, but doing that on the phone/ipad will mean I cannot swap back for 90 days!!!!!
    Thanks
    mel (uk)

Did you ever get around to transfer purchases from your old iPhone to iTunes in your computer.  If you did, your ringtone will be there and all you need to do is sync it back to your new iPhone.
Ringtones can only be downloaded once from the iTunes Store that is why the user guides recommend that you transfer purchases from the iPhone to the computer.
If you never synced your old iPhone to iTunes, then you need to do that now so that you can get your ringtone on your new iPhone.

  • Can I transfer purchases from one itunes account to another, if so how

Can I transfer purchases from one itunes account to another, if so how

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums.
Answering quickly, though, if you mean you want to transfer a purchase from one iTunes Store account to another, you cannot.
    Regards.

  • IPod Classic 80-gig won't transfer purchases to iTunes Library, nor will it sync. Please help!

My iPod Classic 80gb will not transfer purchases to my iTunes library. When I click the "Transfer Purchase" button, it says it's working, but then I get a pop-up which reads 'Attempting to copy the disk "OS" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)', and following that pop-up is another pop-up, which reads 'The iPod "William's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-69).
I need to transfer the purchases, because I had to restore my laptop (Which is a PC, by the way) to the original factory settings, and I had to re-download iTunes. When I re-downloaded it, I logged in and everything, but all my music was missing. I clicked the "Purchase History" button in the account part, and I clicked the "Download" button in order to regain my lost music, and I waited about 45 minutes or so, only to come back to iTunes saying it had finished, when it had only re-downloaded 75 of my 279 songs.
After this, I went into the help section of iTunes. In that, I clicked "Manage your media files," and from there, I clicked on "Find iTunes files." So, I did what it told me to do, which was to run a full scan on my PC, and I looked everywhere I could think of, and everywhere iTunes suggested my missing music might be located, only to find that I wasted my time.
I am a musician, I CRAVE the music I listen to, and I'm constantly finding new stuff to listen to and research, and if I can't transfer my purchases or sync my device to my library, then that means I can't get new music to listen to on the go, and for me, that is an extreme issue. Obviously, restoring my device is not  an option, because I have nothing to sync it to to get my music back.
Please, if anyone can help me with my situation, I'd be forever grateful.
    *Extra Information*
Laptop- PC, Dell XPS15, has Windows 7, has an intel Core i5 processor, only about 2 and a half months old.
iPod- iPod Classic, 80-gigabytes, I've had it for, going on 5 and 1/4 years now, give or take a few months.

An app called CopyTrans may help get tunes from your iPod to your computer.

  • How do I transfer purchases in iTunes 12

I finally figured out how to look at the device, my iPhone. with that silly icon row across the top.
I went to do a full back up of my phone and found two issues. One is a gui oversight.. can't really call it a bug.. just a cancel or exit is missing on a pop up window.
    AND
I can't find the link that has always been there on the right click menu that allows transferring purchases from your device to iTunes on your computer.
It's simply gone. There is no right click. there is no link in a menu item at the top of the iTunes applilcation.
I went to do a backup and got a message that said that I could back them up, but if I Was transerring my backup to a new device (which I will be if I update to the iPhone 6) then iTunes won't install those apps unless they've been downloaded to iTunes. I was presented two choices, back up with or without those apps.
Here is where I Found the second problem... There was no way to change my mind at this point and NOT backup at all. There should be a third choice.. of cancel or  a little exit icon at the top right, but there wasn't. SO instead of going and figuring out how to transfer those apps... I had to wait and wait and wait for a backup (which I"m going to have to redo anyway after I Figure out how to transfer those apps completes). Then go transfer and then redo the backup.
So right now, I need to know how to transfer my purchases to the iTunes on my computer... anyone?
and second, I think a bug report needs to be filed for a missing cancel/exit button on that popup.
And third.. I think I need a stiff drink so I can relax... I"m staring to think the whole Quality Assurance dept died with Steve Jobs. Sad to see something he worked so hard to grow and give a culture of excellence too.. not live on without him. sad. really sad. Here is a toast to the glory days of old Apple.

Apple buried the transfer purchases option, but it's still there. To transfer purchases from your iOS device in iTunes:
Select the device toward the top-middle of iTunes (underneath the status area/progress bar/Apple logo).
    Go to the File menu.
    Select Devices
Click on Transfer Purchases from [DeviceName]...
