ITunes disables cd burner and player! Help!
As part of my job, I create a lot of audio cds. All was going fine until the middle of last year when an iTunes update, I believe it was something in the 7's stopped my computer from recognizing the factory-installed cd burner. All subsequent updates including the current 8.1 cause the message "disk burner or software not found" each time I try to burn in iTunes (I can't burn from Finder either). Disc playing wasn't too much of a problem save for the occasional stuck cd which had to be force-ejected when the burner suddenly "disappeared". With this new update I can't read or write at all - I've tried all the gimmicks to make things work like zapping the p ram, holding down mouse during start to force eject, using disk utility to fix permissions, etc. We all KNOW this is an ITUNES SOFTWARE GLITCH. My computer was FINE until that first faulty iTunes update. Can somebody PLEASE help as my work depends on it and I can't afford a new computer? Thanks!

Itunes disables my cd and dvd-rom
I just downloaded the latest version of Itunes and it disables my cd and dvd-rom drives. Any idea why that is? I'm using a Dell Dimension 4500.

Missing itune drivers for burning and importing!
I keep getting the message "itune drivers for importing and burning cd & dvd missing". I have reinstalled itunes, but still getting same message. I want to burn cd's, how can I do this?
I've just joined this unfortunate universe. Does this mean that anyone who runs Windows Vista and iTunes now has registry settings conflict, and no longer can burn CD's from iTunes? When I checked with Dell technical support for help on this, the only way they could restore my ability to read CD's in the CD drive was to delete iTunes upper and lower filter settings from the registry. And now, it seems like all in this universe, I've lost ability to burn CD's. As asked above, is this for EVERYONE running Windows & iTunes?

CD Burner and Player Tripping...?!
Wont play certain cd's, and no longer burns at all.
Spits a warning saying-
The attempt to burn disc failed. The device failed to calibrate the laser poser level for this media.
whats the deal??
I adjusted the burn speed then I get this warning-

Itunes going fullscreen from taskbar player help
Hi,I put itunes in my taskbar so that I have the mini player there.
The problem is when I enlarge to the fullscreen to see my albums when it goes to fullscreen mode it doesnt fit(its too big)and I have to click the top right square icon again to make it fit the screen properly.
is there anyway i can tweak it so that it when i go into full screen mode it fits without having to click again to make it fit?look here,

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

My mac is the OS X 10.8.3. I tried to update the latest Adobe flash player and kept getting 'Actionlist not found.' I have uninstalled, enabled and disabled plug-ins and am still unable to download the update and now have no flashplayer at all. Help!
PS I'm still new to Macs so the more broken down the better.Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.
The current stable version is Download 11.7.700.169. -
When I click on itunes, I get a message that says, "the registry settings used by the itune drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing. this can result from installing other cd burning software. even though I have repaired, deinstalled and reinstalled itunes, the assitent still tells me that I can't burn or import music due to an incomplete installation... I have been using itunes for years now and never had a problem...who can help??? thxcheck out this support article.

What can I do to correct this error: The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes. I have reinstalled several times but it hasn't changed this error message. Why am I able to burn a CD using Media Player but not iTunes? I am using Windows XP and I have burned cds from iTunes in the past.

I have the same problem with my ipod touch ... but im trying to find a way to fix it without restoring it...
but one fix is to shut it down completely ... then press and hold BOTH the power button and the home button .. hold both of those 4 ten seconds .. then release the power button but still hold down the home button .. and then it'll show something that says "connect to itunes" once u get it connected to itunes , click the restore button ... BEWARE THIS WILL WIPE OUT EVERYTHING ON YOUR IPOD!!! IT WILL RESTORE IT BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS , AS IF U JUST BOUGHT IT !!!!! then it should work fine again .. but u will lose all data on there besides the things you have synced with itunes already..
