ITunes does not play Podcasts in a row
Hi everybody.
Why is it, that iTunes does not play Podcasts in a row like it does in individual playlists. It stops after each episode of a subscribed Podcast and I have to manually trigger the next one. Even more so, the iPod returns to its main menu after each episode in a Podcast. This is annoying, especially when I am driving or jogging.
Do I have to organize my Podcasts in playlists or is there another trick or tweak?
Thank you!
Michael
PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.4)Playlists are a possible workaround, but I just drill into the genre -> Podcast -> "All" -> podcast name to get to a list that plays straight through.

Sometimes itunes does not play songs
From time to time my itunes stops playing: When I select
a song in my library or a song in the itunes store, the song
is displayed at the top, but itunes does not start playing.
Additionally, it won't play any other song.
When I close the itunes software (hitting [x] at the top
of the window), I cannot restart itunes until I end
the still living process itunes.exe in the task manager.
When I restart itunes afterwards, the same songs in the
library (or in the itunes store) play properly.
I use itunes 7.2.0.34, but the problem also existed
with earlier versions (I think they startet with 7.x)
and still persists.
I followed the hints in http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93610,
no change.
Does anybody experience similar problems?
This is really frustrating!
Thanks,
Mario
Windows XP ProJust as an update, someone suggested reinstalling iTunes to fix the problem. I don't know if you loose the songs in your library but I asked the kind person that answered my question.

Error message
"Either windows doesn't support the item's file format or the content doesn't match the extension"
I have both a Yoga and a Thinkpad 2. The Yoga is running Win 8 and the Thinkpad 2 has 8.1 Preview.
I have copied multiple video files which are in either .avi or .mp4 containers.
Some will play and some will not. I have installed all sorts of codec packages and players and the problem is the same. I though it might be a container problem so I tried to convert the file and the converter I used did not work.
Searched the Internet and nothing really useful was found.
Then I discovered a common thread. In the files that played, the codec information displayed when checking in properties and the ones that did not play, did not have the information.
I have a video file on a USB flash drive and checked the properties and the information was there and I could play it from the flash drive. I copied it to my desktop and the file would not play. In checking, the codec information was not present.
There seems to be an error in copying files where the requisite codec information is not being transferred.
I have tried this multiple times and multiple permutations of transferring. Sometimes it will play from the desktop and will not play after transfer to the microSD card.
Each time when it plays, the information is there and each time it does not play, the information is not there.
SalThe problem is the period at the end. This system assumes it
to be part of the url. I should have put a space and the end of the
url before using a period to close the sentence. try this one:

Please note that just the home page and supporting files have
been loaded to the test server.

Quick time does not play in windows home 7 premium
when i try to open a video in a certain website, my browser stops working, and the website closes out. i was able to successfully download quicktime 7.6.9, but it does not play the video in my browser. i also downloaded safari and that does not work. i have a pentium R dual-core CPU [email protected]
This problem is usually associated with an mpeg-1 that has a bad timecode due to being incorrectly merged from shorter mpegs. Often this freeware will repair it if you use the timecode correction item in the menu. Mpeg StreamClip
Another alternative is to view the mpeg with this freeware viewer, which is not as picky about files meeting standards: VLC -

My itunes does not play anything anymore
Itunes won't play anything anymore, wether it is in the cloud, from the store or even from my computer. It shows the song in the window but no sound and the timer does not move from 0:00
Hello KarolineSG,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It seems like iTunes on your Mac is not playing songs at all, and the play counter is stuck at 0:00.
You can find some troubleshooting tips for this situation in the following article:
iTunes 11 for Mac: If you have trouble playing music or other audio
Most of the steps in this article can help with both iTunes 11 and 12.
All the best,

ITunes does not launch in Windows 7 (BEX/APPCRASH)
I have been having this itunes error since I updated to 10.5
I am running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit
I am able to run Quicktime 7 normally
When I try to open iTunes, the pointer shows the spinning wheel briefly, then nothing. There is no error message. I tried updating windows and drivers to the latest versions already. In addition, I followed the troubleshooting steps on the apple website, and all to no avail. Disabling all processes except Itunes and its helper app still not solve the problem, neither is creating another user account the solution.
I decided to check out the event viewer and these are 4 logs that i see.

Any help is very appreciated!Nowadays people don't back up to CD/DVD. They get an *external hard drive* and copy over their entire iTunes folder, and whatever else they are backing up.
The advantages are (1) this method does not depend on iTunes's horribly unreliable burning capability (2) you can look at the external and see that the stuff you backed up is really there. (If you want to see an unhappy person, it is when they try to restore from CD/DVD and discover that it did not burn correctly in the first place.) (3) it lets you back up your other valuable files besides your music. -
My Itunes does not play quicktime
I have the latest Itunes software version 10.6.3 but when I go to podcasts and try to play video, it tells me that my version does not support quicktime. Help! I have tried updating it but it does not seem to work.
Try relaunching iTunes in 32-bit mode first, as per the instructions in the following document:

If i play songs downloaded from Match on the iPhone itself, it works fine.
iTunes is authroized, and signed in.
Songs that are hard synced (synced with device plugged into iTunes and not downloaded from Match directly to the device) work fine.
Any ideas?

iOS 5.1
Win7 32bit & 64bit (tried on 2 seperate machines, both signed into iTunes & authorized)First of all make sure that you have the volume turned up with the control on the right side of the iPad. You play music in the Music App - not in iTunes. If you have the volume turned up and you are using the Music App - restart or rest the iPad and see if that helps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
ITunes Server - iTunes does not play .m4a files
Hello,
when enableing iTunes server on NSS326 and connecting to it via latest iTunes, connect goes OK (The name of the server changes, but this is a known bug). The music files are displayed, but .m4a Files are not played back. .wav files are played back. .m4a files are played correct via iTunes when accessed via File System. Is there any fix for this?
OgnianFound it,
looks like iTunes is very sensitiv to the tags info inside the m4a file. Get mp3tag select all m4a files, and hit Save. That's it. mp3tag saves the tags correct.
