Itunes does not recognise CDs................please help

i've had my ipod for a few months now and it hasnt been a problem before as it has always imported CDs fine onto my ipod but recently whenever i insert a CD into the drive itunes does not recognise that i have put a CD in and it cant be the CDs that i put in as i have leant one of them to my friend and she said its worked fine on her itunes, when i insert the CD and go onto run CD diagnostics this comes up,

Drive is empty.
The last failed audio CD burn had error code -128(0xffffff80). It happened on drive D: HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4164B on -128(0xffffff80) media at speed 0X.
i dont even understand what this means, please help!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx xxxx

Well the report just tells basics of your setup and errors going on in short. Error -128 means either you or iTUnes cancelled the burn before it even started.
Your issue tho is you have no lower filter. you should have 2, and upper filter and a lower filter. Now Im not that good with the filter thing just yet, but I think if you reinstall itunes it will install the lower filter you need.
You will want to remove itunes AND quicktime in the control panel>Add/remove. Dis able any antivirus/security programs so they do not interferr with iTUnes and then download and install the latest iTunes from www.apple.com
