ITunes does not recognize apps on my iPhone 3g
Ever since I got my iPhone 2 weeks ago, my iTunes does not recognize apps on my iPhone 3g. It recognizes them as 'other'. How do I make iTunes recognize the apps that are currently on my iPhone 3g.
Note: I uploaded my apps onto my iPhone using iTunes sync, my iTunes is fully updated as well as my iPhone.
Just found the solution.
When your iPod Touch is connected to the computer
go to iTunes>Preferences , in the top-left corner.
Then click on devices and uncheck the box for
"Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods"
- I know it says your case was resolved but I read that this case
was brought up several other times where the solution before
my post did not work.

I upgraded from Iphone 3g to iphone 4. I had to update my macbook pro to Lepard just to sync. the **** thing with the new iphone 4. I bought and updated to lepard. Now when I try to sync itunes does not recognize my new iphone 4 as mine and wants to erase everything I have bought using the phone before it will sync! I was so frustrated by this when I first bought the phone that I just pushed it out of my mind and NEVER synced it. Please help...Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Itunes does not recognize my iphone 4 device
I bought a new computer, tried to install itunes, after three different people tried to help me, i finally got itunes to install, but when I plug my iphone into my computer, itunes does not recognize the device. I am trying to 1. upgrade my iphone soft ware to 10.5.3, utilize icloud, and perform basic functions of syncing my phone with my computer. Any help, anyone could provide would be appreciated.

RoseIf your iTunes is the latest version, restart your computer and reboot your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.

ITunes does not recognize my iPhone 4 or iPad 2
I bought an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 yesterday... have not been able to use any of them so far as itunes does not recognize either of them on my machine.. have tried several times to restart the machine, reinstall iTunes etc etc.. I have a Sony Viao with Windows Vistas Home Edition, and of course am running as an Administrator.
Anyone has faced this problem earlier - any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

After IO update and and installing window 8.1 preview, Itune does not recognize iphone.
I went to devise manager and it tells me everything is working properly, but can not read the iphone on itune.

TOMYou shouldn't be running the "preview" anymore. Microsoft released the full 8.1 update last Friday (10/18).
The "preview" is a beta and should NOT be relied on for any further use. Microsoft explained this in their "preview" downloads.

I plugged my iphone in to do an update and it was mid way through the update when the phone was accidentally disconnected. Now the phone is stuck on the screen that shows a cable and the iTunes image suggesting the phone needs to be plugged in to iTunes. I have plugged it in, powered on and off, attempted to enter DFU mode numerous times all with no success. ITunes does not recognize the phone and I continue to only receive the screen saying I need to plug in to iTunes.. Please help!
Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.

i updated to ios 5.1.1 and added icloud services. the problem is now whenever i connect my iphone to my PC, itunes does not recognize my phone. i need it to but it just does not connect..
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. Yu can make an appointment at the the Genius Bar of an Apple store or try:

I just downloaded iTunes 9 and i do not want to upgrade any further, so when i plug in my iPhone iPhoto recognizes it as a iPhone/camera but iTunes does not recognize it. any help would be appreciated.

I have reset my iphone and made sure all updates have been done on my macbook pro and iphone. It was after updating my macpro that I plugged in my phone and went to itunes to backup phone and can't see the device anywhere! I was Updating my Iphone 4s to iOS 6 through itunes. an error happended now iphone stuck on connect to itunes logo screen . tried tukrning on and of it connects but itunes does not recognize so i can restore .. any ideas?
Dont know if accidently fixed it or not i got it to be recogniced by itune im restoring it now. i held the power/sleep button till turned off. then while holding the home button under the screen connected it to the usb wire .. also i change the usb port i was using on my computer dont know if it was luck or what but glad i got my phone back.
