ITunes Does Not Recognize my ID3 Tag Information Correctly
Hello every buddy. I am a new iTunes 6 user
( build 6.0.2.23 to be correct).
I have a few hundred fully tagged MP3 music files. I have tagged them mostly with ID3Tag and Amarok for Linux. All tags are displayed correctly in: amarok, konqueror, my creative zen touch, windows explorer, windows media player, and ID3Tag. But iTunes dosen't recognize tags of more than half of my collection. For all the files that it doesn't recognize the tags, it displays an empty value for album and artist entries, and a number for the genre (eg., if the genre is Trance, iTunes shows 33). Most of my tags are V2.3 and I have tagged both Version 1 and 2 tags exactly the same.
Where should be the problem? Does iTunes not recognize version 1 or 2.3? so why it does recognize my other Tags?

Thank youThere is only one fix now. The message on the screen means that you have to restore the iOS software on the iPad now. Read the part at the very end about using recovery mode.

If your device is continually restarting, not responding, or showing the Apple logo with no progress bar or a stopped progress bar, place the device into recovery mode and try restoring again. -

We just added a new printer and bluetooth connection to our iMac. Now iTunes does not recognize our iPads as devices. Have already tried restarting everything. Any other suggestions?

I upgraded from Iphone 3g to iphone 4. I had to update my macbook pro to Lepard just to sync. the **** thing with the new iphone 4. I bought and updated to lepard. Now when I try to sync itunes does not recognize my new iphone 4 as mine and wants to erase everything I have bought using the phone before it will sync! It says everything on the phone now will be cleared in order to sync it with my existing info on the computer from my previous iphone. How can I just get everything from my current iphone 4 into itunes, basically add it to the info from my previous iphone 3g that is currently in my itunes? I dont want to lose what I have on my phone currently....I paid money for half the apps for crying out loud.
I was so frustrated by this when I first bought the phone that I just pushed it out of my mind and NEVER synced it. Please help...Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

If I want to sign in to this message board, I can do so. I can also sign in on my iPad to download updates, purchase new apps and songs, etc. And I can sync my iPad to iTunes on my iMac.
But when I open iTunes on my iMac, it asks for my password and I can't sign in. What is causing this problem with iTunes on my iMac repeatedly asking for my password when I open iTunes?
This is very frustrating. I am also worried that I won't be able to sync when my new iPad arrives March 16. Help!The solution (for me at least) is to keep trying the same password in iTunes on my iMac that I know is correct. For me, the fourth try of typing in the exact same password works in iTunes on my iMac. I have repeated this several times, and each time it works.
What is messing people up is that when iTunes does not recognize the correct password, people are attempting other passwords. Those other passwords are all incorrect. The problem, as you stated, is that the password was entered correctly the first time but because of iTunes having issues it does not recognize it.
People, just keep entering the password you know is correct. It will eventually recognize it, or at least this works for me. If this still does not work, reset your password (but then you may still have to enter it repeatedly in iTunes).
Apple needs to fix this. -

After updating iTunes this week Windows 8 recognizes the iPod but does not offer an option to open with iTunes. iTunes does not recognize iPod Touch. Have followed all the steps but without success. Is there a solution with iTunes?
I followed all the instructions on the suggested page. Many files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\ could not be deleted. Message said ""Cannot delete files: It is being used by another person or program"' but could not find iPodService.exe in task manager (also, the "Cannont delete ... " did not mention iPodService.exe).
Deleted all that I could. Reinstalled iTunes. Still same result. iTunes and computer both recognize my old iPod. Only the computer recognizes iPod Touch. -

I tried the Rs, but my new computer and iTunes does not recognize my shuffle. Can someone give me basic steps to correct this? Shuffle was previously 'synched' with another iTunes library and I don't want to erase my currently uploaded music. It is a connector problem, and this is my second Nano to do it within nine months. Apple wants $32 to send it in to be repaired once again. I am irritated beyond belief. I took my Nano in to an IMAC store and they confirmed that it was a connector problem. They could not send it off nor repair or replace it though. So I've had two Nano's since Christmas have this problem.
I would suggest that you try another device (shuffle) on your computer to ensure that it's not your computer (our other I-pods worked on the computer) and/or take it in to an IMAC store where they will see if it connects to one of their computers.

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

ITunes does not recognize my first generation iPod Shuffle
iTunes does not recognize my first generation iPod Shuffle (512MB). Windows 7 sees the iPod as an empty external drive although the iPod has music on it. The iPod plays the music fine. iTunes does recognize a similar first generation iPod Shuffle.
What can be wrong with the iPod Shuffle? How can I fix?

This is first Ipod for me - I have had less than one day. Screen is frozen with itunes emblem and cable. Unable to refresh/restore or do anything with ipod. I turn off/on and get the same frozen screen. My computer does not recognize ipod. Itunes does not recognize ipod so I cannot restore.... Should I take this ipod back and get a new one?
