ITunes does nothing when I plug my iPhone in
I have an iPhone 5 32GB, a 2007 iMac 24", Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and iTunes 11.0.4 (4).
When I plug my iPhone into my Mac, absolutely nothing happens. If iTunes is closed, it doesn't open. If iTunes is open, no iPhone button appear in the top right corner and nothing changes in the sidebar.
I have also tried plugging it into my PC which has iTunes installed, and then the iPhone button does appear, but I don't want to sync it on that machine - I want to sync it on my Mac.
Any ideas?

My USB's are fine, I've tried 2! My Ipod5 is charging fine.

tried to install itune 10 but when i plug the iphone to the USB it states that it's not digitally signed drivers, installation failed and cant even do charging on the computer after that. i'm using window 7 please help!!

2 Apple TVs. The first won't reboot, it stalled during an update and now shows a picture of a UBS plug. Ive tried to plug into my computer, nothing happens. At a standtill.
The second Apple TV works but only if I send something via Airplay. The remote no longer has any affect. The light on the front of the Apple TV blinks when I push a buttom on the remote but nothing happens.

now, press the power button on the ipad until it turns off.
Then, press and hold the home button on the ipad at the same you plug the usb cord into the ipad. DON'T LET GO OF THE HOME BUTTON.
Keep holding the home button until you see the recovery mode message pop on the itunes window.
When that happens, you should now be able to restore. -
Win 7 Pro (32-bit) does nothing when I plug in US...
I have installed OVI Suite 2.2.1.23 on my Windows 7 desktop and the computer doesn't list any usb device connected and I do not hear the audible sound made when i plug in any other usb device. I have tested the USB ports and confirmed they work fine. I have noticed that my Nokia 6350 does charge when plugged in to the usb port, but my computer doesn't show that its connected. It is probably a driver issue, so I have uninstalled / reinstalled Nokia PC Suite and OVI Suite and still can't get this to work. Please Help!!!!
I had Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290 running on Win XP, & had the same problem with the driver not working. Tried the tip to repair the driver; no go. Completely uninstalled the whole Ovi Suite & reinstalled newer version 3.6.36, with driver dated May 2012 (vs 2011 for previous one). Windows does not find a newer driver. New one also fails; Ovi Suite still can't see the phone. NOW WHAT???

ITunes does nothing when I try to Import
Hello,
I have tried to import several songs into ITunes with extensions of wma and CDA. I have tried dragging and dropping them into my library and I have also tried "Adding them to my Library" as well, but neither approach works. I don't receive an error message. The computer just doesn't do anything. When I drop the file into my library, nothing happens. When I choose a song to "Add to the Library", the dialog box disappears, but nothing else happens. I have the latest version of the software. Any ideas?

I actually am having a similar problem to the one described above, except that it is with an mp3 file. It is a file I received attached to an email. It downloaded successfully, and appears on my Desktop and all that. I have tried adding it using "Add to library" as well as dragging and clicking, and nothing happens. It does not appear in the library. Any thoughts on why this might be, or how to open the file, would be much appreciated!

Title says it all. When my phone is connected, iTunes freezes when I have the audacity to click the file button. When my phone is unplugged, I add music to the library, either by folder, or by file, and nothing happens. I just updated to a new version this morning, I don't know why i ever agree to that, it's always a mistake. How can they keep making the program worse? I don't get it.
If you put the music section of the library in songs view ordered by date added descending do you see any of the material you tried to add at the top of the list? Have you tried using the <Media Folder>\Automtically Add to iTunes folder to add media?
As for the iPhone have you reviewed this support document, not withstanding that iTunes might display the device? TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows.
Have you considered (or recently performed) a complete tear down and rebuild of iTunes? See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

ITunes Store error when I plug in iPhone
Anyone else getting the "Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The iTunes store may be busy"
It was working (but not activating) until around 11pm last night. Now as of 8am this morning it's the same thing. Is my iPhone dead?
I am on the east coast (NJ). Anyone else getting this message?
BTW, I had to initially fix a billing issue (AT&T told me I had to pay balance before they would activate). I did and now I'm getting this error.You might want to recheck with AT&T. Those errors usually come up when there are billing credit issues.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Itunes does nothing when I try to update
This has happened with the last three updates. I have to uninstall everything and reinstall it. I click to update; accept the terms; and then it goes back to the same screen asking if I want to update., Is there a way to fix this so I am not uninstalling every time?

I've just updated my iTunes on my laptop

That's what backups are for. Use Time Machine. It's free and external drives are cheap. To recover your iPhone's content requires the use of third party utilities. Success is not guaranteed. Read:

It is safe to download if your phone is not jailbroken. Before you download it, however, take some precautions:
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall
Connect the phone cable to a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub
Before updating right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "Backup"
When you are given the choice choose "Download only", not "Download and Update"
After the download completes successfully click the Update button to install it.
Most of these steps are just being overly cautious, as most people ignore them and have no problems. But occasionally the extra steps save grief. -
i plugged in my iphone to restore it but while restoring itunes shutdown itself . if my iphone is not connected to the mac itune works but when i connect my iphone to my mac itunes does not open at all.
