ITunes does only sync photo's but not music and video. Help please
I have loaded ios5 on both my iPad and my iPhone4. For about a week, all worked fine and i restored my music, video's and photo's. However since about a week, music and viceo's are removed from the iPhone. That was after the change from summer- to winter-time. And iTunes does not want to sync them back to the phone. On my iPad all is still there. I looked at my settings and the only difference between the iPad and the iPhone is that on the iPhone i see a switch for iTunes Match, but that does not work in my country yet. When i look in the left column of iTunes i see my music marked under the musicdirectory of my iPhone, but with a sych mark. ( the little circle). So i can add and remove photo's, but not music or video items. Has anyone an idea what to do?
By the way, all my other stuff(agenda, notes etc.) are synched thru iCloud.

I got a Mac and i downloaded new music on it and im trying to sync the music on this computer to my iPhone which is hooked up to another iTunes and iTunes is saying " An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes Library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library" does this mean that it will also erase my photos or just my music and videos ?? if it does is there another way to sync with out all my contents being deleted??
You can only sync one iTunes Library from Mac to iPhone.

Photos which are uploaded through icloud control panel are only synced with iPhone but not with iPad. Photos taken with iPhone or iPad are synced with all devices. So, why I do not get the uploaded photos from my pc to iPad? I alredy disabled photo stream on all devices - same failure
If only one device is not getting updated data, you need to troubleshoot that device and not photostream itself.
Verify that ipad is connected to wifi, charged over 20 percent, camera app is closed and take a photo of the screen (or anything else, but then close that camera app).
Open photostream folder on that ipad and see if picture shows up. If you network is good, should not take long.
Don't forget that while your phone can use wifi and cellular (even it suppose to use wifi for photostream, cellular networks got much better since original photostream was implemented) - you ipad is probably wifi only.
If picture shows up - you ipad and photostream have no problems and you can go to other devices one by one. -
I have home sharing on in iTunes but can't see my library when I use the computers icon on Apple TV. iTunes does display my purchased tunes but not my own imports.
I can play my own tunes by selecting them on my iMAC and directing them to Apple TV. I think that I should be able to see my entire library on Apple TV shouldn't I?
Am up-to-date with iTunes and using Mavericks OS. I am connecting to Apple TV with an Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-FI and a brand new Apple TV.

RogerOkay, so HomeSharing is not working. Most likely due to a network issue.
Is the ATV and computer running iTunes actually on the same network? Many new routers create seperate networks for the wired and wireless portions of the local network. -
I'm always losing all of my music and get a lot of apps that i don't need when i plug my i4 into my mac. I only ticked the box 'Manually manage music and videos' but it's always syncing itself. How can i prevent this? I don't want to put back 1500 any more because of this. Please Help!!!

Home sharing can only show songs movies, but not books and apps
I have a macbook pro and a macbook air, enabled home sharing on both of them,
but can only see songs, and movies in the sharing, but not books and apps.

I have photos on my iPhone and want to put them on my PC. Should be straightforward, right?
So I go ahead and install iTunes, and plug in my phone, and sure enough iTunes tells me I've got 1610 photoes on my iPhone. It won't let me actually SEE them, of course. Fine (no, not really fine). So I create a blank folder on my PC and proceed to do a sync. My options are to (a) Sync FROM "My Pictures" to the phone, or (b) choose another and sync FROM my PC TO the phone.
Where is the option to sync FROM my phone TO my PC????
It boggles my mind that I have to go outside of iTunes and use Windows Explorer to copy the photos from the phone to the computer. So I go to "My Computer" and within the iphone Internal Storage there is only a DCIM folder and two sub-folders. There are only 800 photos there! Where are the other ones?
Evidently what I can see from Windows Explorer is ONLY the pictures I took with the phone itself, and NOT the pictures I saved from email attachments or instant messages! Why? Where are they and how can I access them???
SO far, the closest thing I have been able to find is to have to buy a third party App like "Simple Transfer" to do this. Is this really the case? Or am I missing something?Photo sync is only one way, computer to iPhone.
To get pictures from the iPhone to the computer, copy them to the computer as you would with any other device.
Pictures saved from emails or instant messages (if done on the device) are in the camera roll.
Pictures previously synced to the device from a computer are not available to be copied off the device. They should already be on a computer. -
I am trying to get some advice as to why my Ipod will not completely sync since I updated Itunes. Itunes keeps telling me it can not sync my Ipod due to a duplicate file name? It will sync some of my songs but not all of them. Any thoughts?
Most likely the iPod filesystem is corrupted, during a partial sync, that freeze due to a timeout.
In My Computer, select the iPod, right click Properties->Tools->Check Now
tick both Fix filesystem and scan.for bad sectors.
This will fix the duplicate name error.

Help! iPhone 5 works with iCloud for Contacts and Photo Stream, but Not Music!
Okay, totally stumped! I have an iPhone 5, which, new, I restored from wife's iPhone 4 backup, remotely (3 Months ago). I just signed into our family Apple ID, chose the most recent backup, and did a restore. So, contacts, and photos and Apps backup to the cloud instantly, which is shared on all devices. Likewise, when my wife takes a phone picture, I can see it in the stream: all without doing an iTunes Sync. My phone's settings have my number associated with my contact card, so the phone doesn't "think" it is my wife's phone.
The dilemna: iCloud won't send my phone new music purchases from our iMac, or iPad. My phone has it's own physical identity on Find My iPhone, but interestingly, it does not appear in the list of devices, in the "Manage my Devices" section when I am signed into iTunes with my Apple ID. Furthermore, even though I have the phone settings to Sync with iTunes wirelessly, when plugged into AC power, with iTunes on, the iPhone 5 does initiate backups with iTunes; even after rebooting iTunes. My phone does not appear in the list of devices for iTunes, AND the only way I can sync with my computer is with the USB/Lightning cable. Even then, I do not get music purchases to load onto my iPhone which i have bought on my computer.
Currently running Mac OSX 10.7.5 on my iMac and IOS 6.1 on my iPhone5.

THANKSThe way I do that is to organize them on my computer. I periodically import all of the Camera Roll to the computer. That is a good thing to do to insure you have a copy in case of loss of the phone or other problem, even if you backup the phone. Import can be done by methods described in iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Once they are on the computer I organize them in iPhoto on my Mac. If you have a Windows computer you can organize them in folders. Once they are on the computer I delete them all from the Camera Roll on the phone to make it easier next time -- i.e., the Camera Roll always only contains the photos that I haven't yet organized.
I only want some of the pictures that I am keeping to be sent back to the phone, so in Windows I made a second copy of those (in iPhoto on a Mac I use Albums instead). I had a main folder (e.g. "Photos for iPhone") and subfolders (only 1 level below the main folder) with various topics. Then use iTunes to sync the photos back to the phone (selecting the main folder). iTunes: Syncing photos
The end result is that they are organized in Albums on the phone, are not in the Camera Roll, and I have a copy of them on my computer. -
in the itunes 10.5 preference and in the iOS 5 preferences (store) I can just select apps and books, no music and movies.... anybody knows why?
AlessandroFor anyone still wondering about this, reports today are that the UK won't see music in the cloud until Q1 2012 as negotiations have only just start with the Perfoamnce Rights Society. Slightly strange that licenses weren't done on a global level but it may be cash related. Apple apparently gave $150m to universal alone in advances

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

check your FLV path and make it meet the path on the server not the
local machine. -

When I plug my iPod classic (only three months old) into iTunes, it doesn't show up as a device on iTunes. I plugged it in to update last nightm, but all my music was erased and now it isn't even recognized. The iPod itself shows it being connected, but nothing on iTunes. Any ideas would be appreciated. eta2359
