ITunes Doesn't Open but the K Drive Window Does

Hey,
I was grounded and my iPod was taken form me for about a month or so. Before that everything was fine. But, when I got it back I had to Restore it buy that wasn't really a problem. The thing I am now having trouble with is that when I plug my iPod into the computer the iTunes software doesn't open, but the K drive window does. Which is the drive my iPod is labeled under in "My Computer". Does anyone know the answer to thins question help would really be appreciated.

I just forgot to say because I know it will come up that yes i cann see my Ipod when I open up iTunes. It ios jsut that the wrong thing is now being opend up and ti is sort of annoying.

Welcome to the Support Communities!
It sounds like the application is having an issue burning the CD.
I would suggest you Force Quit iTunes, eject the disc and then open iTunes again.
Then try burning again with a different CD.

I want to open Twitter, but after I type the password, it doesn't open, but the message for saving PW does appear... can you help me?

I'm using FF on another computer, and pages that I have used in the original have opened, except for Twitter. This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.
*check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

ITunes doesn't open after the first time

Hi, my iTunes after the last upgrading doesn't open. Really it open the first time after starting pc then , when i shut down it seems frozen. Could you help me? Do you ave a solution?

Try following steps and test one at a time:
1. Restart computer, right mouse click iTunes icon and select "Run As Administrator"
2. If that does not work, check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows.
3. If that fails or you don't see ApsDaemon.exe in the Processes, refer to following article to remove SC files:

4. If that fails, repair or reinstall your Quicktime. START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REPAIR.

I have an iMac G5, and the screen goes to sleep as it should, but the hard drive only does this manually. How can I fix this?

I just want my computer to go to sleep on it's own, as the hard drive will spin for days unless I manually select "sleep" from the menu. The screen automatically does go to sleep at the preset 7 minute mark though, and ideas for a fix?

Nevermind, I found this answer, and to my total surprise, it worked!! I opened activity monitor, and all kinds of junk was running, so I closed a lot of stuff out, and now, my iMac goes to sleep like a good little computer! Here's the answer in case this question comes up in a search:

If you have any applications running that can keep your iMac from sleeping. You can check in user(you)/application/utilities/Activity monitor. Just open Activity Monitor and you can see what's running. Just my 2 cents but if you check "put hard disks to sleep" in energy saver and have your screen turn off after 15 minutes since you used it. IMO that's a better way to go since you can schedule all the background things to happen when you don't need you Mac. Such as software update, spotlight indexing, idisk syncing, ect. I noticed that whenever I connect my Nano to the computer, iTune doesn't open but instead a window showing some files pops up. Every time i synce my ipod it still pops up. I restore my ipod and now i can't seem to sync it. Help please!!!!

Upgrade everything BUT the hard drive? [Does this work?]

Is it possible to take the (320G 7200RPM Hitachi SATA laptop) drive out of my white 13" MacBook (2.4GHz Core 2 Duo) and put in into a new 13" Aluminum MacBook Pro and have it boot up and have the same software I'm used to now? It feels like it ought to work (I'm already running 10.6.1), but I thought someone might know for sure.

I would advise you not to do that. The two computers are of different generations and have different hardware. The OS install on your white MacBook will have drivers specific to that machine, so if you put the drive into the new MacBook Pro, you are likely to have kernel panics and general instability (if it even boots at all).
If you get the new MacBook Pro, your best bet would be to use the migration assistant that is available when setting up the new computer, which will pull in your settings/apps/data from your white MacBook.

When i start firefox double clicking the short cut icon, it runs in the processes but the user interface window does not comes up in the screen,please help.

in my laptop,i generally use windows xp, due to some problems i repaired the window, after some days without any notice the above problem starts. but internet explorer 8 shows up with a perfect window, but a bit slow in every respect compared to firefox. above all if i start the window in safe mode firefox runs perfectly.please help, i ve tried every possible way(installing different anti-viruses, acessing through set program and defaults).

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

It doesn't look like I created any more space by doing this, AND I totally lost all my iTunes playlists. I'm not sure if because I added old library materials manually if this messed up my playlists, or if the new location is just not reading my moved library. In any case, I followed step by step instructions and found a few holes and thought I'd just "figure it out" but I guess I'm not as smart as I thought since I'm still scratching my head many hours later.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and then go to Purchased on the right hand side under Music Quick Links.
You can re-download all the songs, apps, or books you have previously purchased.
I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but just in case, make sure you download the latest version of iTunes (v10.3) too.

Using 'Edit in' - Photoshop CC 2014, the program opens, but the file doesn't appear. Help!

I have Adobe CC Photography (great value!). I need to do some Photoshop editing of my pictures - principally Levels 0 and so use the 'Edit in' functionality.
This has worked in the past; but today, Photoshop opens, but the file doesn't appear in the PS window.
I uninstalled (using MacKeeper) a copy of Photoshop Elements 12 on my hard drive recently - could that be the cause? In any case, how do I get back to being able to 'Edit in'?

My Ipod and Itunes are upto to date. After Itunes opens a small box with the word Ipod appears near the top of the right side of the screen. Then screen will go through the five steps of syncing. Afterward, still nothing has transfered to my Ipod(The box next to the songs I wanted were check)

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Then make sure that you have the right boxes chacked to sync. See:
