Itunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4, iTouch.....but recognizes my Apple TV
I know this question has come up many times in the past, but does anyone have any idea how to fix this? When I go to device manager, my iPhone or iTouch shows up as a digital camera. The frustrating part is that iTunes recognizes my Apple TV. Strange.
I have re-installed iTunes several times (even under a different admin account). Also, updated Apple mobile device driver several times. I even reverted back to an older version of iTunes to see if that would work, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your computer should recognize the Camera Roll only, as a digital camera. iTunes must recognize it for syncing and backup. -

I want transfer photos from Iphone to laptop. The windows doensn't recognize de iphone im "computer" but the itunes does. How could I transfer the photos from IPhone?
It should appear as a camera/scanner device in My Computer, or you can associate a phot app on the computer with it. If it doesn't appear there is probably a corrupt image in the Camera Roll or the Camera Roll is empty. You cannot transfer photos from the Photo app (transfer is one way only, computer to iPhone), only from the Camera Roll.

Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -
Erased all content on 3G but now won't sync with iTunes. Error states, "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started." I don't want phone service on this old 3G. Just want to use it as an iTouch. Any suggestions?

My computer doesn't recognize my iphone and now my iphone displays the apple and I can't use it. What can I do ?
First, try to do a hard reset of your phone. (Hold down the Home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time for about 10 seconds. When the screen flashes and the Apple appears again, release the buttons.)
If that doesn't work, then you may have to put your phone in restore mode.
Power off your phone and disconnect it from the USB cable.
Close iTunes.
Then press and hold the Home button and while keeping the Home button pressed down, connect the phone to the USB cable.
Continue to hold the Home button pressed down.
After a few seconds, you should see the display prompt you to connect to iTunes.
After that, you should be able to restore your phone from iTunes. -
ITunes doesn't backup my iPhone 3Gs anymore? (randomly stopped)
Recently, i've had the problem of iTunes being unable to backup my iPhone 3Gs.
It's worked perfectly fine, up until the iOS5 update came out. I attempted to download the update, but it seemed to mess with my phone instead. The software wasn't downloaded at all, and instead it cause my phone to refuse to backup. I was still able to sync my phone then, but it came up with this error message:
"iTunes could not back up iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer"
I read the discussions online, and some troubleshooting forums on here about how to fix this issue, but nothing worked. Someone suggested that it meant the backup was corrupt, and that deleting that backup from iTunes ('Edit > Preferences > Devices'), as well as from my computer (C:/users/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup), in order for it to make a completely new back up was the way to fix it, so I tried that... but now, my phone can't even sync, and it just made the problem worse -_-
I connect it to iTunes, and it identifies my phone and understands it's there, but when I click sync or backup (right clicking my phone in the 'Devices' side pannel and selecting 'backup') it says: "Syncing "iPhone" (Step 1 of 5) Backing up" and it doesn't move from there. I get a loading bar, and it stays in the same spot, the whole time it's plugged in - even when I unplug it, it still thinks my iPhone is connected, and still says it's trying to backup (Step 1 of 5).
iTunes has attempted to make another backup folder in 'C:/users/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup' for me, and it's named the same, just like my last iPhone backup folder... but I don't understand why, if it's made a folder, why it can't backup my phone in iTunes?
In addition, I can't connect to the iTunes store anymore. It only loads half way when I select the 'iTunes Store' in the side bar. I'm not sure if it's connected to the 'backup' issue i'm also having, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program many times, yet nothing seems to fix either of my problems. Being unable to connect to the iTunes store had occured once before for me, but uninstalling and reinstalling it MANY times fixed the issue... however, spontaneously, connecting to the iTunes store became and issue again after some time. :/
PLEASE. HELP.I had iTunes, AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe, and APSDaemon or something (Apple Push) and they plugged up 100% of my resources. I could not access the store, either. Reinstalled in order per apple support many times. Nothing worked

I've been using iTunes with my iPhone 3G for over 3 years without a problem. This week, iTunes no longer recognizes my iPhone. It is recognized by Windows, is working properly in Device Manager, and the Apple Mobile Device service is Started and Automatic. I am running Windows 7 64bit. I followed the troubleshooting directions to retart the Apple Mobile Device, and then the directions to completely uninstall iTunes, reboot and reinstall the latest version.
Still no joy. My iPhone is immediately recognized on my husband's computer/iTunes. His iPod is recognized by my iTunes.
What next?Try restarting the iPhone while it's connected to the PC. See if that makes a difference.
If not, try disabling anti virus software and turning off the Firewall.
Disable antivirus software
Turn Windows Firewall on or off
Then see if iTunes will recognize the iPhone. -

Just got a new phone, but when I plug it into my MacBook Pro iTunes doesn't see it as a device. iPhoto launches, so it is not invisible. It's just iTunes that won't wake up.

Does it read when you manually open itunes?
Itunes also has settings for it to open when your device is connected, and seeing that its new, you have to resync it.
