ITunes doesn't sync any of my apple products and ONLY CDs are not appearing on iMac
This has been happening for a while now and I haven't been able to sync my iPhone to my
iMac and that applies to my iPod too. Anybody know a way to
Fix this because I really need to sync them.
Also NO CDs are appearing on the mac or on iTunes but DVd s work though?
Do you have the at least the minimum required versions of OS X AND iTunes installed on your iMac, that iOS 5 Requires in order to properly sync?

I have the 2nd Gen iPad and imported my photos from my computer to my iPad awhile back. Now I'd like to sync it to new MacBook Pro and my albums are not showing up? Anyone know how to fix this?

LG Plasma TV doesn't recognize any of my Apple products
I am the proud owner of a brand new LG Plasma TV. I just went out and purchased $80 worth of adapters to be able to connect my ipad, ipod touch and iphone to this tv. Imagine my astonishment when I found that the tv refuses to recognize any apple product at all!! I used an HDMI cable and hooked it to an apple AG digital adapter. I called LG directly and they said it is Apple's issue.....I called Apple and they want to charge me $29 to "do some troubleshooting" that may or may not work. Anybody else with this problem?? Anybody solved a similar problem?
Yes I did....LG admits their TV's won't work with Apple products. They say that it is an issue with Apple's safeguards. However the tech said that other people have had the same issues and have managed a work around. I don't think I want to pay Apple another $29 for a workaround that might or might not work

How do I set up my iphone 5 so that I can access my family account? Recently I purchased music from itunes using my apple id, and now I cannot find those songs in our cloud. I wanted to add those songs to my ipod. Do I have to buy them again using my husband's apple id?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself. -
Apple ID and iCloud Passwords are Not the Same
iCloud uses a different password to login than my Apple ID which I use for iTunes and everything else I do with Apple. Can I change my iCloud password to match my Apple/iTunes ID or will that cause problems like those I've seen noted on forums? OR, is it a good idea to keep the passwords different since my Apple & iTunes ID is connected to my credit card?
Note in Case this Applies: I am running iTunes 11.1 on my MacPro in OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and will upgrade to Mountain Lion in October and then Mavericks when it arrives (if stable). I am about to install iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s (64G) and iPad 4 (32G).Can I jump onto this discussion with a similar problem.
I updated the OS on iPhone 5 and Ipad to get the latest security updates. Since then I cannot access my icloud account. I have tried changing the password and get to the point were I am sent a verification email and advised to;
"Check your email and look for a verification email from Apple. Click on the Verify Now link and sign in with your new Apple ID and password". Unfortunately there is no "verify now link"
Consequently I can no longer access my account. Any ideas?! -
All Apple products on my computer are not working properly
Hello, i am having trouble with my itunes, Quicktime, and all other apple products on my computer.
This all start when i tried to update my Itunes(which was working fine minus this problem) and it would not let me. It kept giving me the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" when i hit ok "The path C\:user\Danie\appdata\Local\Apple\Apple software update\ Itunes64.msi cannot be found verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package Itunes64.msi in a folder from which you can install the product". This happenede with the installation of Quicktime to.
Finally i got fed up with these errors and decided to get rid of Itunes and Quicktime all togther. I went to the programs area and i tried to uninstall and to my joy got the exact same error as when i tried to update. It would not let me Reinstall Uninstall or update anything related to apple products because of the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" error.
I finally manually went and uninstalled the folder through program files into the bin and deleted but despite that i still have the program Itunes listed in my Programs and features page and it still wont let me reinstall or remove it. All it ended up doing was causing me not to be able to use itunes on my laptop at all.
Further information im on a Dell Laptop using a 64bit system Windows 7.

Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try reinstalling iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
Apple Templates and shapes, etc. are not showing up for me to select??
i did a search and came up empty-
i am using FCS, and have done all the updates, including the Proapps one, in the last 6mo.s, and have been religious about repairing permissions.
all the files for the Apple templates, shapes, buttons, etc. are in the proper folder(s), but somehow they are no longer showing up on my workspace to the right of dvd studio pro. to my knowledge, nothing has been moved or changed since i did the original install 6 mo.s back.
is there a way to do a "scan", or import them ALL back in (instead of one by one)?thanx 4 your response-- i did what you posted, and it seemed as though it would do the trick, but when i did it, nothing happened. no loading, or anything. i even tried using the direct folders, but "apply" nor "reset" caused anything to happen. i even tried closing the app. and booting back up, but no chance.
i did, however, go to the top menu items and found a "import template" option. i did it and selected all the templates in the folder. same thing for "shapes". in the palette, they aren't in the "apple" section, but show up in the "custom".
i guess this will do, yet, i can't seem to be able to access the "patches" or the "transitions", by way of any of these methods. -

t get iCloud messages on my Apple iMac, iPhone or iPad2. I dropped my original email account and went to gmail. I changed my Apple ID to this gmail address on the Apple Store, etc. I've also changed the Apple ID password a few times. This worked fine until this week. I believe I can get game messages (not sure all were delivered), but not iCloud messages. It asks me for the iCloud password, which none work, and then goes back to my old
apple ID and asked for a password. It asks me to reset the password, which I click, but nothing happens. How can I fix this so I know I'm getting all my messages?Hi rjt,
Sounds like you did not delete the iCloud account on your device before you changed your ID. You will need to do the following:
1. Sign onto Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old ID (this is temporary - do not verify it, do not change the password): Apple - My Apple ID
2. Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom to delete the account. Use your current password when asked, follow the prompts to complete the deletion
3. Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the new ID (you may need to verify it again)
4. Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with the new ID

IPad Group Contacts are not appearing in itunes
I have a Group Contacts app on my ipad mini that syncs with the contacts on my iPad. I created 4 groups. I want to import those groups into Outlook. I tried opening up icloud, select all, export. Only the 1st contact in that particular group is exported. I then deleted and reinstalled itunes and my groups are not appearing.
Have had same problem and read many different posts on the discussion boards. Came to my own sort of hybrid solution that's posted below:
Backup address book.
Turn off syncing to iPhone within iTunes, and then hit Apply to make sure it takes.
Quit Address Book, iTunes, and basically everything.
Go to Finder > Library > Application Support > Address Book … move all folders out of there EXCEPT the Metadata folder.
Go to Finder > Library > Application Support > Sync Services … move everything out of there.
Reboot computer.
Open address book.
Open iTunes, connect iPhone, and sync.
NOTE: I had to play with these steps, and their order, several times to force iTunes to properly reflect what’s in the address book/contacts, but after about the sixth time it worked. -

I have an iphone 4 which is currently synced with a non apple laptop and I wish to sync it with my new imac. I have just backed the phone up on my laptop but am not sure what I need to do now.
