ITunes doesnt sync iPhone 4S

Every time I try to sync my iPhone in iTunes says that the device is not recognized. I try to install any application, and takes too or definitely not installed. Already rebooted the computer (I have Windows 8.1), reinstalled iTunes in its latest version, I restored the iPhone settings. I also made the process of troubleshooting recommended in the help page, but nothing works.

You can not activate it without a SIM. If it is carrier locked, the SIM must be from the carrier it is locked to.
The SIM does not have to be tied to an active line of service, but it MUST be present.

i had to get a new hardrive which has wiped off my itunes i redownloaded it but now it wont sync songs i have put on my itunes to my iphone, it syncs it but nothing goes on it, what do i do?

Cant get itunes to sync iphone or ipad or ipod

cant get itunes to sync with iphone or other devices?

I did that and the device driver is correct, at least there is no error triangle there. I have no third party software that should interfere, so I'm back to square one. When I plug the device in to the PC with the USB the device shows up in itunes. When I remover the USB the device disappears, so it is not finding it wirelessly. I have checked and unchecked the sync this device over wifi and reapplied the settings and still it won't hold. I don't know what else to do. Is Apple going to release a fix for this?
When I was going thru the steps to uninstall and reinstall itunes, the apple device support program would not uninstall so I skipped it and went on. Itunes works but not wireless. Would that make a difference?
This is frustrating that Apple would release something so flawed. Was this never tested? Seems so simple and so basic.

Have you solved this problem? I downloaded the new version of itunes with a view to download the new update for the iphone 4 and now it does not pick up my phone. My PC does not even see it. I attached an ipod and it came up in the list on itunes straight away, so using the same usb lead and port I then attached my i4 and nothing, it doesn't even charge. I have re-installed itunes 9 but still no joy. Any ideas would be helpful

I am able to view the itunes videos in my computer but not able to sync to my iphone 4s. I have checked the format is in mp4 and dimension is 640x480. Why is it not working? It used to be fine before all the OS upgrading, can apple do something about it.

Being an mp4 isn't enough. To play on a 4S requires (from http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html):
"Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format".
It's possible the videos you have are in a .mp4 container but don't meet the other specs. There's lots of 3rd party applications that will convert videos to be compatible with an iPhone. You may have to find one of these and convert your videos first.

connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.

I was listening to music with the lock screen on when all of a sudden i got a text, i went to open my text my phone showed the apple logo. it dose that every once in a while so i just waited for it to turn back on as usual. this time it told me i needed to activate my iphone. i pluged it into itunes like it said and it told me this "your iphone could not be activated becasue the activation server is temporarily unavailable. try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes." i plug the phone in and it says to update it. i try and update it and it tells me itunes could not sync my iphone because apps installed could not be determinded. what do i do?

ITunes stopped syncing iPhone 4s after Mountain Lion upgrade

Installed Mountain Lion today, all looks well except sync of iPhone 4s with iTunes won't start either directly as the phone is hooked up or by forcing a Sync. iTunes sees the device but hitting Sync gets stuck on "Waiting for sync to start", and after a while it gives up with an error message.
OS X 10.8 on a MacBook Air (2012).
Anyone else seeing this? Ideas?

I've tried this but with no luck. I've restarted my iphone and itunes repeatedly, then tried to sync. Each time the "memory" line or gauge (whatever you call it - it tells you how much memory you're using for music, photos, etc. as well as total memory used/available) shows all of the music is on the phone, but after syncing is done the music has NOT transferred to my iphone and the music portion of that "memory" line or gauge drops down to near zero.
This along with my inability, even after 2 1/2 hours with Apple tech support, to get my calendar or contacts to sync.
Any ideas out there? A Nobel Prize may be available!!

I Have over 9GB of music on my 4s yet iTunes has only synced 3GB onto my new iPhone 6. Is there a way (without an iCloud backup & restore) to force ALL music to copy from the 4s to the 6? I even added a new CD to iTunes yet it doesn't show up on the 4s. I run iTunes on a Windows 8.1 laptop. All the iPhones are fully updated.

I used PhoneTrans (the FREE version of iExplore) and it worked! Great app, intuitive and no crashes. I tried some others and they all wanted $ before you know if it works. SharePod partially worked and then crashed not sure the paid for version would be better.

I accidentally quit iphone while updating iphone software. I restarted the iphone and it give me a picture suggesting I plug it into a USB port. NOw itunes gives me the option to restore my iphone. Does this mean I will permanently loose all my media? Can I restore all that stuff from my computer backup after I restore?
