Itunes don't start (First installation)

Hello,
French user in enterprise ... we have a 60 iPhones and we want to install Itunes on PC of the User.
PC are under Windows 7 Prof. and in a domain.
Installation on the User domain account = OK but launch Itunes =  50% OK and Other KO (Itunes never start)
if KO : under session domain admin = itunes start OK ; under session Local admin = itunes start Ok
We declare the domain User as Admin local and iTunes Dont't Start (again)
When I tell don't start, no msg of erreur, no process in the process list in the monitor.
We try to install the Setup (x64) as administrator (right clic) => launch setup = install OK
Same bug when we want to start itunes since the user domain account.
We can't change the user account.
We 're thinking there is authorization problem but we can't find where.
All we found on forum and else aren't solve the bug.
A fix ? A link ? to help use ... we have 10 PC whith the start bug and we are near the suicid

Resolve
We found bad directory redirection for "documents" on domain GPO (redirection on a old server).
We :
* change the bad value in the GPO.
* restart the PC and login with the domain user account. GPO apply correctly.
* launch iTunes and ... miracle ... Itunes Start correctly.
No thanks to Apple, because:
* no error message,
* no information for bad directory to create iTunes directory in "my music",
* no question to write/declare a new location cause of error create iTunes directory for the media bank
* just close Itunes on the error without information and 6 hours loose in search for the cause.
Thanks to fromsouth to the search way.
See you soon

  • ITunes won't start after installation, get error "iTunes has encountered.."

I've been reading up on this a bit in the forums, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer to fix this problem. Just today, I tried to install iTunes to my month-old computer. Installation seemed to go fine. However, now when I click on "iTunes" my computer goes immediately to:
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I tried the MSConfig thing and that didn't do anything. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't work, either.
What I find weird is that after uninstalling, I try to install QuickTime all by itself, and the computer informs me there is already a version installed, but I never did and it does not show up under "control pannel, add or remove programs."
If this helps, I copied this from the windows error:
AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 7.0.2.16 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 10001040
I don't understand why this is happening, as this is a new computer, and I am the only user. This is XP Media Center Edition 2005
Please help! I can provide whatever info is necessary for help!
    HP   Windows XP

Read elsewhere of two files that needed to be removed in C:\windows\system32 in order for Quicktime to reinstall successfully. Upon doing so, I was then able to install iTunes. Seems to be working now!

  • Downloaded songs don't start at the beginning of the song, why?

the songs i bought from itunes don't start at the beginning of the song,  it's just the preview clip.

Been having the same problems myself. And I don't know about you but sometimes it'll take a while to get it to actually play the first song.

    Hello, Jdragone.
Thanks for the question.  Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below.  Once this is done, download and install iTunes.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

If you receive any errors when uninstalling any components of iTunes, try the steps in the article below for each component that gives you an error.
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" alert appears when removing Apple software in Windows

  • Anyone still up? I just purchased from the itunes store for the first time, and don't know how to get them downloaded to my ipod.

Sigh.....really late and I want to go to sleep, but I just purchased some Itunes online for the first time, and I don't know how to download them to my ipod. I've never done it before, and it shouldn't be rocket science, but I can't find anything that tells me where to go to download my songs. It said something about check purchases, but I can't even find that screen.  I connected my ipod to the computer, and now it says CONNECTED...EJECT BEFORE DISCONNECTING. My BF set up the acct when he bought my ipod as a gift, and as I bought these songs for a special weekend I have planned I can't ask him how to do it.  HELP!  For some reason the password I always use is not recognized for my account... and since I can't get anyone from itunes without a proper log-in I'm at the mercy of all of you more versed in tech and itunes than I.  Is anyone still up that can help me out?

It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes)

i have new pc and it's first installation of itunes...i can't restore my ipod.i have forgot my screen protection password..

If you don't have a computer to which you have previously backed up using iTunes you will need to follow the instructions in the "Use recovery mode" section near the bottom of iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

  • My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I quit itunes, and it keeps reopening.

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I pause the song, and it resumes it on its own again. I'm not joking. So, I end up quiting out of itunes; but, it starts right back up again on its own. After quiting out of the app a few times, it eventually stops reopening; however, about an hour later (or less) it opens again. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP? I'm just about to delete itunes, because I've had enough of this crap. I hope someone can help. I've restarted the laptop, and it seemed like that fixed it, then itunes started up doing the same thing again an hour later. ituneshelper is unchecked; bluetooth is off; i only have speakers and a mouse plugged in (also charger).

Read this Apple Discussion Thread and possible solutions. The audio jack has been the main culprit, also certain sync and automation settings including connected remotes.

If you are trying to launch iWeb '09 with a domain file made in iWeb '08, drag the domain file out of Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb into a new folder and then try launching.

  • TS1717 itunes won't start because it says the folder was made in newer version, what should be done?

itunes won't start because it says the folder was made in newer version, what should be done?

If you haven't deliberately tried to downgrade iTunes then it is possible the library is corrupt. This approach should work.
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • ITunes does not start after Lion installation

    hi,
after upgrading to the latest iTunes version and to Lion, I get "The file “iTunes Library.itl” cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Would you like to download iTunes now?".
    Precise:
I upgraded iTunes to the latest version (from the previous one, I am a regular upgrader) yesterday afternoon around 15:00, then I worked several hours on my iTunes library (including some new buys). At night I then installed Lions. After starting Lions, iTunes does not start anymore.
I have read the threads about copying old library files from the "previous iTunes Libraries" folder. But if I do that, I will loose the entire afternoon work. Anyway it I cannot understand why iTunes now believes to be older after Lion installation than before...
    Can somebody please help?

    Hi,
after backing up, I downloaded the latest version again and it really worked.
Strange that evidently the Lion installation did revert yesterdays upgrade from iTunes. Now it works, including all my latest changes from yesterday.
    Case solved:)

Having mail 4.5 issues- open mail and get a new features message that says in order to use the new features, I must import existing messages into the new version first in order to use mail 4.5.  Just recently put in MAC OSX 10.6.7.  Once it imports I am to click done to start using mail, but end up with the rainbow wheel of death and it also says you cannot use mail until the import is finished? Now What?

Is Mail still "spinning"?  If it's been doing that for a while, I'd kill it, using either Activity Monitor or the OS X application picker.  Then relaunch Mail and see what happens.
    Two "by the ways":
    1) Your system details mention an PPC iMac.  Since a non-Intel Mac can't run OS X 10.6, you seem to have another Mac.  You might want to consider updating your system details.
    2) You seem to have been misled by the poor labeling of the message composition fields on this forum into trying to enter your entire post into the "subject" field.  In the future, just enter a summary of your post there and the main text into the field below it.

  • Itunes won't start up. Don't get any error messages.

I just installed the CD for Ipod/Itunes that came with my nano. When I plug the nano into the usb port, the "do not disconnect" display comes up and Itunes attempts to start. The Itunes user agreement pops up on the screen for a brief second, then goes away without initiating the program. If I double click on the Itunes icon, the same thing happens and I cannot get the program to open. When I try to open quick time, I get the same results.
My wife has used Itunes on and off for the past year on her RIO mp3 with no problems. I wonder if the napster and RIO manager programs are creating some sort of conflict. I do not want to delete them since my wife may need them for her RIO player.
I am very aggrevated that I cannot talk to a human to resolve this issue. I have called the "1 800" number several times and was told by a computer to "try back later". I wasn't even given the option to hold for a tech.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

when i click on it it gives me the hourglass for a couple of seconds then it goes away and itunes never opens.
... by any chance, do you have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
