ITunes dose not indicate blank cd!

Please help....
Since the past two iTunes updates, iTunes will not recognize blank cd's. I thought this problem would be fixed on this last update, but sadly it wasn't. I can't burn to disc when it dosen't recognize blank media. It reads from music cd's just fine, and there is no problem uploading them into iTunes. Again, please help!

If your blank CD or DVD doesn't appear in the iTunes window or if your burning preferences aren't being saved, make sure you have the appropriate privileges to burn CDs on your computer.
I'm the only one using this computer, and I'm on Vista. What would I have to change? All my drivers and firmware are updated, and I've burned discs with other programs, so it's not my drives...especially since I was able to burn with these drives when I was still on XP.

Have a look in your Device manager. (Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage" and click "Device Manager".)
Is Device Manager (in the right hand pane of the Window) completely blank?
If so, see the following Microsoft document for troubleshooting advice:

i just got a new computer (with windows 8) and i downloaded the latest version of apple i have a iphone 5 with ios 7.0.4 when i plug in my phone via USB to my laptop an auto play pops up that gives me the options to: organize and edit my photos (adobe elements organizer 11.0), open device to view files (file explorer),import photos and videos and or take no action but itunes does not open and on my iphone when i unlock it (i dont have a password) it also has a popup that askes if i want to trust my computer "your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected."then says trust or dont trust and it does every time i plug my phone into my computer when i open itunes my iphone is not reconized itunes dose not even reconize that there is a devive plugged in for that matter. and i have looked at previous problems and they all say to press on the device button. but there is no button when i go into prefrences ctrl+ and press devices all that it says is device backups (witch is empty) then "prevent ipods,ipads and iphones from sycing automatially witch is not marked off then warn when _____ of the data on this computer will be changed i selected any theit says itunes is not paired with any remotes then reset sync history
my questions are how do i get itunes to reconize my device and the trust my compter thing to turn off how do i sync my device with my computer

ITunes is not recognizing blank CDs

iTunes is not recognizing blank discs. The computer shows it with other programs, but it doesn't show on iTunes.

I had (have) same problem. I dinked around for a couple of hours and even though I didn't have a blank CD showing in Itunes I decided to try and burn a CD anyway. Sure enough, it worked! Am I crazy or didn't it used to display blank CD's? Seems like this just happend. So, if it doesn't "see" your CD, trying burning anyway. This happened by the way "out of nowhere", can't explain what caused it.

I tried to update my iphone through my itunes and recieved an error message. The phone then became frozen on the conect to itunes screen and I can not use the phone. I tried to reconect to itunes but it does not recoginze my phone it just stays frozen.

Try recovery mode as described here. You may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

Unable to view iTunes Store - not a blank page though

We have just downloaded the latest version of iTunes (last night) and we are now unable to view the iTunes Store. I can sign in, but the screen just looks like this:
It was working absolutely fine before last night... any ideas would be most welcome
Running WindowsXP Service Pack2. (We have been unable to install SP3 as the computesimply crashes immediately.)

just tried running the repair again, went through fine again. except this time we have this:
oooooh ok. now this is odd. I accidentally clicked on the page where the content in the store would normally be (i.e. where the black and white boxes are, and I got this:
which to me looks perfectly normal! not quite what I'm into, but at least the store itself seems to be working. just not the Home & front pages by the looks of things.
yet if I choose from one of the options in the one of the menus (i.e. from the music menu, choose album chart, songs chart compilations etc) they all seem to function fine.
very odd...

Itunes dose not have ringtone tab.

my itunes dosnt have an ringtone tab, i have the lastest update and all of that, and it just dosnt have the ringtone tab. Oh and i have the iphone 4 if that makes a differance.

if taylorr313's answer didn't help... this is how i did it because taylorr313's didn't work for me:
1. get the app RMAKER and follow their steps
2. go onto their help video and watch that however if when you click on your iphone and up the top their is no ringtones or tones
3. click on edit at the top of the screen
4. click on prefrences and select tones/ ringtones
5. click on file at the top of the screen
6. click add file
7. scroll along the side until you see desktop (or where everyou saved it)
8. click open
9. if it isn't in the tab at the side it should be in tones
this worked for me and if it doesn't for u i'm sorry... i'm only trying to help good luck !!!!!!!!!!

Windows movie maker dose not seem to work with itunes music.

Windows movie maker dose not seem to work with itunes music anymore. Hear is what happend in a nut shell.
For reasons I can not explain I had to reinstall all my software on my Vista HP notbook. But I only had one why of saving my data music,photos. I had to use my flash drive to save everything as my DVD recoder would not work right at the time.
So I save everything I needed and then did the deed then when that was all done and everything was working right again. I put all my photos and music back to my computer. All my music or aleast most of my music is from itunes some music is from CD I do not have anymore.
My question is when I go to put music with my movie or slideshow with Windows movie maker. A box pops up and tells me that this song dose not have the right codec but it also tell me did I download the right codec. I have know idea what its talking about. Movie Maker worked fine with itunse music before the reinstall. I am thinking I did not save the music right though the music plays great on itunes but just will not import right to my movie project. I am at a lose for words can someone please help me shed some well needed light on this all the help I can get would be a God send thank you.

It's been a while but it should work on a Mac because Macs can read Windows formatted devices. Otherwise, you can perform a restore operation to return it to the Mac format. If you go to support.apple.com/manuals/ you can find a copy of the user manual for the model you have in which this is all explained.
