ITunes down! Cannot purchase from iTunes Aug 28, 2013

ITunes store is down again. Cannot purchase apps, movies, music...anything from Brisbane Australia.
Apple tried telling me it was my bank's end problem, which there was a problem on NAB server end so they were half right, but then I tried using a different credit card from different institution and had the same response from Apple "payment processing is temporarily unavailable."
PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM APPLE!!!
Anyone else suffering from Australia?

same problem here too, trying to buy songs in Perth. Very annoying.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use.

Cannot purchase from another country's iTunes....

I know we cannot purchase from another country's iTunes, but how about if someone in that country gifted songs to us? For example, my wife here in the U.S. wants stuff from the Japanese iTunes store but can't buy it; can her sister in Japan "gift this song" to her? Thanks.

No, you can only successfully gift to people who are in the same country as yourself - the gifting may appear to go though, but your wife won't be able to redeem it

Cannot connect from Mac Pro late 2013 to Macbook Pro

Cannot connect from Mac Pro late 2013 to Macbook Pro . I have tried via ethernet and wifi. I can connect from the MBP to the Mac Pro but not vice versa. I have tried to connect to other MBP's on the same network with no luck. I try and connect as a registered user, as I usually do, with no luck. When I enter the Username and then Password the box vibrates as if the details are incorrect, they are not however.

It is 'just not working' again.
To answer you question. Other sharing services work. I can connect as a guest. I can share screens. I cannot air drop.
I cannot connect either way now i.e. from Mac Pro to MBP and vice versa.
I cannot connect to my wife MBP either. My wife cannot connect to my Mac Pro.
It neither works with wifi or ethernet cable.
I can connect to my Time Capsule directly and Time Machine backups are working.
The passwords are 100% correct.
The Mac Pro is a late 2013. Does anyone else have a similar problem? I have never suffered this one before. Seriously effecting my workflow

TS3297 itunes 10.6.1 now asking for 3 security questions. After input I get "error in the itunes store -1202". I cannot purchase from the store.

Running Vista Ultimate. Itunes 10.6.1 is now asking to answer 3 security questions before accessing the store. After entry I get "error in the itunes store -1202" I cannot purchase music at this point. Any help is appreciated.

This problem is resolved. I deleted the old iTunes (with write permissions turned on for my account) and reinstalled successfully. Removing the deleted iTunes from Trash was troublesome even with root but after playing around with permissions and flags, I was able to remove it.

Is there a way around this problem? I recently started listening to japanese music and I was very excited when i found out I had a link to the Japanese itunes store but when i couldn't purchase from it I was shot to ****. Any help on this any help at all?

This question is asked frequently so I'll just quote the most succinct answer (courtesy of Dave Sawyer) from the many given:
In order to buy from any given country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
.......this is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice. And this also applies to all the legal download stores that carry major-label content, not just the iTMS.

Cannot purchase from the Australian iTunes Store while working overseas

I'm an Australian currently working in Papua New Guinea. I tried to make a purchase on the iTunes Store (Windows) and it keeps asking me to verify my credit card Security Code which I did but it tells me "For assistance, please contact iTunes Support". Upon contacting Apple Support, I was told that I have violated the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions and was asked to read http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/sales.html. The two Apple Support representatives I have spoken with refused to tell me what part of the Terms and Conditions I have violated and basically told me to get lost in a polite way.
Now, I find this unacceptable. Firstly, if Apple thinks I have done something wrong then it is Apple's responsibility to tell me what I have done wrong. Secondly, I find it unacceptable that as an Australian, I'm restricted from making purchases from the Australian iTunes Store even that I have a valid Australian billing address, a valid credit card that is issued from Australia.
Is someone in the community able to clarify this?

Cannot purchase from iTunes wifi store

I have downloaded & installed the 1.1.1 update and attempted to purchase and download some music. However, when I clicked on "Buy Now", I was informed that no account information could be found, and I should connect to iTunes to establish an account. The odd thing is... I DO have an account, and connecting to iTunes confirmed that fact. I accessed my account while connected, then tried to purchase music again using my iPhone -- still no joy.
Does anyone know how I can get this feature to work correctly?

On your computer, go to the iTunes Music Store, click on your account email address in the upper right hand part of the screen, and click Sign Out.
Quit iTunes, reopen iTunes, go into the Store again, and log in with your account info.
Then sync your iPhone.
According to Apple's documentation, it transfers the account info to your iPhone from the last time you logged into the Music Store. Hopefully, doing the above will "remind" your computer about your account info so that it will be synced to your iPhone.
Please post if this works or not.

Cannot purchase from UK iTunes Store

For the last 6 days I have been trying to purchase some tracks from the UK iTunes Store. Every time I try, I get the following message: "*The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time.* Payment processing is temporarily unavailable. You may continue to browse the store. Please try to make your purchase later." I have tried changing my payment details to another credit card in case that is the problem, but I get the same message if I try to edit my payment details.
Is anyone else having this problem and what can I do to solve it (apart from moving to Napster on my PC!)

When I attempt to purchase I get the "network connection timed out" message.
I fact I cannot access any of the iTunes email or online help as it cannot connect, either.

Thank you , I just called Customer Support UK about my issue and they said my card was put under fraud. They have no idea why but they said it would take up to 14 days from now for me to allow me access to purchase anything with my card via the PSN store. In the mean time they advised me to buy PSN vouchers to put onto my account and buy things that way.
