ITunes Down Load
Checking for Purchases Error Unable to check for Purchases. The network connection timed out. Problem started after 197 downloads became available.
I am having the exact same problem since Apple pushed all of my pre-purchased content after my external hard drive crashed. I can't seem to get around this.

If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, not good, you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

i have downloaded some purchased songs and only part of the song plays.
after 3-4 minutes of songs ranging from 8-33mins it stops or jumps to next track. there were no error messages when downloading.If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items. -
Why can't iTunes down load two songs with the same name but different artists to my iPhone?
I noticed this a couple of years ago but had forgotten about it. Today I purchased two songs, both called Bop Gun (One Nation) but by different artists. When I looked at the purchased list on one appears. If I go back to iTunes and download the other one, the former disappears. Are they honestly saying that these phones are intelligent enough to distinguish a song by artist rather than track listing?
Epic Fail!!!Usually a song is uniquely identified by song name, artist, album and track number. That said internally I suspect the iTunes Store may allow one song to appear on more than one album while they only need to store one copy of the audio data. (They must also be able to cope with the situation, for example, where the UK & US version of an album have a different track order). It is also possible there is an error in the database that means you're not getting the song you're expecting. If you can't successfully download the two (presumably) different versions of the song then use the report a problem links in your account history and explain the issue. Hopefully the iTunes Store support staff can get it resolved.

How do I change the destination folder when I download songs from the Icloud?...I want the songs to go to an external hard drive and not the hard drive on my pc
You might want to ask that question over in the iTunes for Windows forum. They should know if it's possible to change the location to and external drive.

Did you purchase the movie? Or did you rent the movie?
Have you tried transferring a purchased move by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
In iTunes 11 use Control+B to show the Menu bar then go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
Does your country allow a redownload by? Not all countries do and the link also provides a link to what each country allows for redownloads

i down loaded my photos from my iphone onto my compuyrt then attempted to upgrade to ios on my iphone then sync my phone and computer. now everything is wiped off my phone the itunes and usb visual is on my phonr and it is not recognized on my computer if any one knows how to resore this please let me know thank you
Thank you this helped. I am not very knowledgable about all this but I was able to get the phone restored. I got everything back but my iPod. I thought I was just updating but what happened was my phone was wiped out and the lates iPhone software was installed.

I loaded iTunes on a new laptop. I copied and pasted my albums to a 4G stick and down loaded them to the new laptop. Placing them in, Libraries – Music – iTunes and than in Itunes used File – add file to library. So far so good. For what ever reason one of the CDs would not load onto the stick. I got the orginal CD and loaded directly to Itunes. Now when I look in Libraries – Music – iTunes it’s not there but it is in and plays in iTunes. What should I have done or should I be doing? Thanks.
It's not a unique situation - happens all the time, smaller hard drives getting filled up.
It's also easy to fix. I just moved my itunes content to a bigger hard drive.
First I made a backup of the itunes database file - iTunes Library.itl. Just in case anything went wrong.
Nothing did go wrong, but I'd have it in case anything DID go wrong. That file holds ratings, playcounts, Date Added, and other metadata.
Second, in itunes change the preferences > advanced tab to tell itunes to put everything on G:
Set the itunes folder location to something like G:Media or G:iTunes
This will affect all FUTURE additions to itunes and not do anything to the existing locations.
Make sure the checkbox for "Keep itunes organized" is NOT checked. I also left the "Copy files when adding" unchecked.
Third, to move all the files to G: without itunes losing the paths, run the File > Library > Organize > Consolidate command. This will need to run a while, so be patient as it copies all the files to the new G: location. This does NOT delete the originals. You will have to do that.
Fourth, make sure everything in itunes is OK and you can play stuff in your library. If you're really cautious you can run a script to check for missing/dead tracks. -

Begin by tapping on the Settings app.
Scroll to the Store menu and tap that.
This is where you can manage your Automatic Download settings. You can control Music, Apps, and Books (if you have the iBooks app installed) here. Slide to On any of the kinds of files you want iCloud to automatically download to your device. -
when I connect my iphone to my mac it says itunes will not work with my iphone cause it needs version 10.6.3 itunes,. problem is i have no idea how to down load that to my iphone when my mac will not connet to it cause it nees the down load help please
Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

I have just down loade icloud and can no longer sync my old music in itunes I have tried to delete icloud but it will not delete?
Are you sure that these times are still selected to sync in iTunes?
When you connect your iPad to your PC and with iTunes running, select your iPad under the devices button in the upper right corner of the iTunes window. Then click on the Movies tab and make sure that the movies are selected (checked) to sync. Check the playlists in the Music tab as well.

TS1567 When selecting iPod in iTunes, iTunes freezes
