Itunes download fails
When I click the download button for itunes, I get a fast display that I cannot read and then the "Thanks for downloading" screen is displayed. No download happens.
Here's a link to a 3rd party app called Harmony
http://www.lifehacker.com.au/tips/2008/05/04/harmonydownloads_album_art_for_fullscreencoverflow-2.html
looks like it will do the job for you, it will even update the itunes artwork, not just download it.
Regards,
Peter.

I have tried deleting everything on my computer about itunes but it hasnt worked and i have tried the troubleshooting on the website but all of it failed. Any ideas? If your version of OS X as shown in your profile is correct, you need to take note of the system requirements, stated on the download page:

If your system is not running 10.5.8, please let us know what version you do have.

Itunes download fails to load goes straight to Thanks Page Win xp sp3 64 AMD
iTunes fails to load when I make attempt. It goes straight to Thanks For Downloading iTunes page. The updater was failing to update, I followed the directions and uninstalled all iTunes related programs, including Apple Support Appl., Bonjour, etc. The computer is a 64 bit Windows Xp sp 3 plenty of Ram and Memory available. I followed thew support asuggestion and was able to load Real Player, I have used the MS registry checker , all checks well. I have tried with both IE, and Chrome browsers.
I'll answer my on question. No problems, when I was directed to the Apple's site to download iTunes 10.5 I clicked down load and in a couple mintues iTunes icon popped back up and all my music and apps where there.

Hey SDGardella,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are receiving error 499 when attempting to download purchases from the iTunes Store. The following resource outlines this error message:

HT204370 ITunes download failed
Hi
I downloaded Despicable Me 2 for my son but I got message saying download error Tap to retry. I tunes has taken £13.99 out of his account. When I tap on retry nothing happens?Hey andrewmaster,
First, try force closing the Store, reopen it and try again:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
from: iOS: Force an app to close
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5137
And if that doesn't work, I would try resetting the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Itunes download failed to fully download, no ability to reload.
For the third time now in my Itunes membership, I have paid for a music album only to find that most of the songs did not fully dowload. Although the system says the songs are dowloaded. I play the song and about half way though, the song skips to the next song in the album, leaving the former song incomplete. In this case, 8 of the 12 songs on the album are dowloaded incomplete. And it apears I have no recourse but to by the album again. Any help?
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -

Hello,
I'm unable to completely download the latest iphone software verison 5.0.1 with itunes 10.5.2.11, downloading fails with 100kb left (err = -3259). Any suggestion on how to resolve this? I manually cleaned the DNS cached as well as directly connecting my pc to the cable modem instead of the router.Thank you for your response. But unfortunately there's no Apple Genius Bar here in Malaysia. Only resellers, which I feel that they are charging way too much in the first place.

The movie I rented at itune store failed to download. I tried to download it again, but it seems I would be charged again if I download. How can I download the movie I have already paid without being charged twice?
Hello ktsuchiya
If you can get your rental to download by going to Store > Check for Available Downloads, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Download failed at itunes, redownload problem
I just purchased a song, got a notice that the download failed and to try again. Went back, clicked "buy", respose was "previously bought-redownload free?" and I clicked yes...immediately got a notice that I must register the computer to "redownload". Problem is that the same computer is the only computer I have associated with my account. What do I need to do to get my purchased song downloaded.
