Itunes download is 'stuck'

purchased 6 songs , 1-2 downloaded fine, song 3 appears to be stuck, the progress bar is about 40% ... i tried closing and reopening itunes (didnt work), tried going under "check for purchases" (didnt work), tried rebooting cpu (didnt work)
it wont download songs 4,5,6 until it gets finished with song 3 ... anyone have any ideas on how to help?

Well, you have to get that one downloaded.
Maybe contact iTMS support and ask them to check that song?
Or remove it from your download queue?

Force a restart, if the problem persists:
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

My Itunes was not working so I deleted it and now cannot download a new version. The download gets stuck at Gathering Required Information, Status: Performing Installation Checks. I am trying to download 10.4 for windows. I have been trying to download this again for about a week and have deleted all apple products from my Control Panel and temp folders. Any advice?

Deleting the .itl and rebuilding it will lose date added information. Playlists may be recovered if the .xml file is imported. A better way might have been to temporarily rename the .itl while iTunes is installed, then restore the original .itl after the fact.

ITunes download gets stuck halfway

I just purchased an album off iTunes, as a first time user. When downloading them, the first 6 went perfectly, but in the middle of the 7th the download just paused. There was no warning or error message, and the little download bar just sat still at about 50% complete. At first I thought it was an internet connection failure (seeing as I am wireless), but it was still connected. I've tried closing iTunes, and restarting the computer a number of times, but still, whenever I open, it brings up the 'to-download' list, showing I've completed the download of the first six - and it then restarts the seventh, only to stop again in the same place.
I would appreciate your help.

HT1725 My app downloads are stuck waiting. There is no 'downloads' tab in iTunes. Very aggravating

My app downloads are stuck waiting. There is no 'downloads' tab in iTunes. Very aggravating. I sign into iTunes. No download tab. I sign not App Store. No download tab. 2 apps stuck on 'waiting'. Have reset iPad2 - no progress.

Also, I'm unable to delete the 2 apps. So they just sit there taking up space.
I'd like to at least be able to start the downloads or delete the apps. I can't do either.

HT1199 I have been trying to redownload itunes. The download seems stuck on the "Running Package Scripts" page. It says "about one minute" remaining for the download but, that was 2 hours ago. Anything I can do?

I have been trying to re-download itunes. This is in an effort to try to recover my new iphone 5s which after the latest update, was put into recovery mode. When I connected to itunes, I was given the message that I couldn't recover the phone. So, support suggested that I re-download itunes. The installation seems stuck on the "Running Package Scripts" page. It says it only has about a minute left to complete this process - however that was over 2 hours ago! Help! What can I do next?

Disconnect the iPhone from your Mac.
Shut down your Mac, wait about ten seconds then restart.
Then try downloading iTunes > Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now
Do not reconnect the iPhone until iTunes is installed.
If that didn't help, the startup disk may need repairing.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, start up from your Mac install disc to make repairs.

Cant download itunes and phone stuck mid sync

My Iphone was disconnected mid sync today thanks to a bit of a dash and a 7 year old kid so everytime i turn the thing on all i get is the Itunes connect screen with the USB cable saying connect to Itunes.
I thought i would get to my partners laptop when i was able to, download Itunes and fix it but now everytime i try to download Itunes i have this message on the Itunes screen "Apologies but there has been an unexpected error with this application. This problem has been noted, and an email has been sent to the administrators. Please check back in a few hours and try to download again" Its been like this for a while now,
Is there any way that i can get my phone up and running or do i need to wait to get an Itunes then finish the update? Im guessing my phone is stuck mid operating system update!!

ITunes downloads stuck in queue

I Have two movie rentals stuck in the iTunes download queue and they keep giving me error messages, cannot download at this time. a box pops up to click retry or done, retry does nothing. If I click the items to continue downloading it continues giving me the error. The thing is I can't even rerent them, if I go into the store it won't let me download again. How can I either delete them or get them to download? Tried restarting, closing iTunes etc nothing works!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. App store and itunes store are stuck in Japanese store. Says: Account not in Store. Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You must switch to the Philippines store before purchasing.

My app store and itunes store are stuck in Japanese store. I already moved to the Philippines for about a year ago and my stores still won't change its location.
I already changed the region/country in my apple id. I tried to sign out and sign in back to my account. Tried it in app store, in itunes store, in settings app, in itunes in my laptop, in the apple website. It shows that my apple id is already set to Philippines, no matter where I sign in my account.
The problem is when I open my app store (or itunes store) in my iphone, it appears that it is in the Philippines store; however, when I sign in my account (and I tried to sign in everywhere), I cannot download any app from the Philippine store. When I try to download an app, it always says "Account not in this store. Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You must switch to the Philippines store before purchasing." I have read everywhere and most of the answers say that it should automatically direct me to the correct store. It doesn't happen to me, apparently.
I have the same problem in both my iPhones. Both are iPhone 3GS and in version 5.1.1. I don't want to upgrade to iOS6 so please don't tell me to do so. Thanks!

Download got stuck halfway

I purchased the movie 'Six Days, Seven Nights'. The download got stuck at 591.1 Mb. I have purchased a song since then that downloaded with no problem. I have iTunes on line in the last 12 hours and I keep it connected untill this movie file is downloaded.
I tried to delete the item and repurchase it. I tried to restart the download, I tried with restarting my computer.
Clearly my iTunes 7 believes that the file will download eventually while in fact it is not coming from the server.

Just checking - when you say you tried to restart the download did you use iTunes > Store > Check for purchases...
I used this today and found tracks that I didn't even realise I hadn't downloaded so the option does work.

Why do my itunes downloaded movies get suck frequently

Why do my itunes downloaded movies get stuck during streaming when my other accounts, i.e. netflix and amazon prime have no problems?

Is their really no solution to this problem? That would be really disappointing.
I have newly installed iTunes software on a new machine, and the iTunes software is broken from the beginning.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Lossless (ALAC) iTunes downloads?

I recently started re-importing my CDs as lossless ALAC files, which are both much bigger and sound much clearer than the default 256 kbps compressed files. Is there a way to change the iTunes store setting so if I purchase music it downloads lossless? Or am I stuck with 256k or going old-school and buying a whole CD when I only want one song? Thanks!

As a music lover myself I know what you mean regarding lossless. Listening to a friends iTunes download I realised that he had cloth ears as I could clearly hear the lack of clarity and poor, muddy detail. Consequently I never purchase music downloads from iTunes. I buy CDs and rip them myself using lossless settings. Apple have always had a thing about thinking that if it was good enough for them it was good enough for everyone. There is also the question of file size and time taken to download these files. Neither of which I give a stuff about. It seems to me apple want to make sure they dont lose the cloth eared fraternity who seem able to listen to anything even a tinny mobile playing distorted music at its maximum volume through its tiny little speaker. Apple would rather lose revenue from the discerning listeners than the majority of people who are happy with audio quality which is nowhere near CD quality.
