Itunes download link wont come up on the site

when i go to the website and click free download the download icon wont come up at all. it says application requested cannot be found on this server. what do i do?

I'm having same issue with windows 2000. I bought 30GB iPOD today and trying to laod itunes 7 from 2 hours but no luck. I tried different ways to Download itunes but NO luck. Thanks to Apple for not providing us with any solution.

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

Can i make a button change anchor link when you scroll down the site?

I am trying to make a scroll site.. and i have navigation buttons on the right, a full menu, but also a "1 topic up" button and "1 topic down" button.
Is there any way that i can have those buttons change anchor link when you scroll down the site.
Example:
I am at home, then i press "1 topic down" and gets scrolled to the next topic on the website, but then i cant make the button change to link to the anchor below that, so the button becomes useless after that 1 press.
Is that in any way possible in Muse to make it change link?

You can try to create different buttons on page positions where down scrolling will be active with separate button actions. For example you click on "I topic down" , page scrolls and there is another button placed with "Next Topic down" , on click this would scroll the page more and similarly along the length of page.
Button with anchor link scrolling down the page cannot be used for different anchor links, creating different buttons with anchors is the solution.

Updates template don't come through on the site

What I have been trying to do is update a template and apply it to all files that are based on this template. The problem I have been encountering is not inside dreamweaver itself: the template is updated automatically in every file I want it to. The problem is that these changes don't come through on the site for some of the files.
Any tips on what I might be doing wrong? I have investigated this forum and checked the frequent mistakes that are made with using templates, but I can't seem to figure out what is wrong, because the files in dreamweaver display correctly...

because the Root Folder of the Remote's definition (in the files menu on the right, remote view) is only a / and doesn't correspond with the name of the local root folder in the files menu on the right.
It should not correspond with the local root folder name.
Is it the slash that is causing the problem?
Most likely it is the lack of the name of the actual root folder for the web hosting account that is causing the problem. With only a slash there, you are uploading the files to the root of the FTP LOGIN which is usually the parent folder to the root of the website. Thus, your files are there, but they are ABOVE the website's root and cannot be seen when you browse to the web domain.
Ask your host what is the name of the root folder for the website - it should be something like "htdocs" or "httpdocs" or "public_html" or "wwwroot" or "www" or something like that, depending on whether your host is a *nix or Windows server. That information was given to you when you first secured the web hosting account. Put that name into the Root Directory field of the remote site definition. Then it should work.

ITunes Download Link does NOT work

When I opened my iTunes today it told me that there was a new update iTunes 5.0.1 was available.. so it took me to the website but I don't see anything but text. I can't see any download buttons or links or anything like that, same thing goes to the iPod Download page.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

From the look of all the posts here, is 5.0.1 worth the risk? Many of you talk about problems.. I never had a problem installing 5.0 so would I be getting problems..?

OK fellow iTunes users, try this:
1. Make sure you have that file called "mapi32.dll" found in your Windows/system 32 folder.
If you cant find it let me know, I can guide you through it.
Next, make sure All these are started: TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper, Windows Management Instrument, and WMI Performance Adapter.
How to do this: Click on the Start Menu;Right Click on my computer and then choose manage in that menu. In the left hand panel click "services and applications" and double click services. Find those files and then click them and see if they say started and automatic.
Next: download QuickTime 7 stand alone. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
If you are running mcafee or nortons, disable your firewall, antivirus and all that. Then restart
Next: Download Bonjour for Windows. Heres the link: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
Restart your computer. Remember if you have that anti virus crap, turn it off for the DL.
Next: Download apple itunes and restart, turning off all virus programs again. It should work from there. Good luck

I created a 2nd library for my husbands music and now I can't find my original library. I did hold down the shift key to open itunes but is still comes up with the new library. What am I doing wrong? I tried several times with no luck. Thank you.

I just got an Ipod Classic recently and downloaded Itunes. Got my music on my Ipod. My husband just got an Ipod Touch. I followed the directions on how to create a 2nd library and was able to load his music onto his Ipod. My problem is now I can not find my original library. I did what the directions said about holding down the shift key while opening Itunes and it still goes to the 2nd library that I created. How do i get my original library to come up? I tried several times with the same results. Please let me know what I need to do to be able to get into either library. Thank You.

Does the original library file still exist on the computer? Hopefully when creating the new library it was done in a seperate folder as I do not believe iTunes allows for two library files in the same location.

ITunes downloads are painfully slow, and using the wrong servers

For the past few months, iTunes downloads (from a PC) have been unbearably slow, with single 60-minute TV shows taking 3-6 hours to download. Worse, Apple has decided that I live in the middle east, rather than Vermont. According to Task Manager, itunes is connecting to 204.2.196.136 to download files, and that server is located in Iran.
Before anyone asks, I am using my ISP's DNS provider, located in Vermont. So this has nothing to do with that useless Google DNS service. How do I forge iTunes to use the right providers in the United States?
For what it's worth, no other programs have this problem. Speedtest reports a healthy 10-12 Mb/s, Steam downloads huge files quickly, and Apple TV streaming is fine. As far as I can tell, only iTunes store downloads are affected (from any source, including my iPad 2.)

In my case, I think it's a combination of my isp being incredibly slow (Optus in Melbourne) and iTunes apparently throttling the download speed. A couple of days ago, my download speed measured on speedtest.net was 0.2 Mbps!! After phoning Optus to complain, they reset the line and the speed bounced up to about 6 Mbps. So in that case it was definitely my isp. But now, even with the approx 6 Mbps download speed, my iTunes downloads are taking about 3 hours just to download one 40-something minute episode. When I do a traceroute (start, cmd, tracert itunes.apple.com, enter) the iTunes server is located in Boston, US and I'm in Ballarat, Victoria, Oz.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Ethernet Network ATV lost from iTunes and it wont come back!!!

Hi everyone
Had this happen a couple of times now.
I've got a 160GB ATV connected to a 1080P display. Mac Mini is host for all things iTunes. All software is latest versions incl. ATV. ATV is connected to network via ethernet as is Mac Mini.
Most of the time if the Mac Mini is restarted and iTunes restarted it will appear again in the ATV Sources menu as highlighted and the ATV will appear in the iTunes sources list. However, this is the second time now that it has been lost from the sources and I can't get it back!!!
The first time it happened I just turned off syncing and reset the connection but there is now loads of stuff to go back and the syncing will take forever! Also slightly annoying is that a lot of the video content is TV shows recorded using EyeTV throughout the week and I have noticed that the ATV does not date TV shows according to when they added to iTunes rather it dates them when the are synced so that that makes life difficult when trying to watch episodes in order. Therefore I would like to avoid having to re-sync everything from scratch if I can!
Is there any way I can force ATV to show up in the devices list?
FYI The first time it happened, I seemed to lose iTunes Sharing completely - not even my PowerBook could pick up the shared Mac Mini library but this time it is different. The Mini sees the PowerBook and vice versa but the ATV is completely excluded.
The ATV can be pinged and it can see the internet and YouTube etc but NOT the Mac Mini it seems. I have restarted everything, reset everything I can think of and turned off the firewall but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Looks like you've done all the obvious things - quite irritating I would imagine.
I may be wrong but I think the problem is more one of iTunes not seeing the AppleTV rather than AppleTV not being to access the Mac. Your YouTube/Movie tariler functionality as you probably know is independent of iTunes as the AppleTV connects directly to the internet, not via iTunes.
Looks like you may need to go down the route of disabling syncing and re-syncing unfortunately - though it's probably quicker to restart everything again a few times first just in case.

Jimhdk I meant... Say I just did a hard reset the sound comes out of the earphones upon inserting them into the jack but should I remove them from the jack for any reason the sound will continue to come out of the main speakers after re-insertion of the earphones. The sound will continue to come out of the main speakers until I hard reset again.
Demo, so it's not necessary for me to update for my wifi is bug-less.
