Itunes download trouble

ok when ever i go and down load i tunes 9, it says this

I don't know if this will help, but I spent the last week trying to get iTunes 9.0.3 (or the latest version) downloaded to my PC. I ran in to error messages that seemed to identify a problem with the Apple Mobile Device Support folder. After uninstalling, reinstalling X 5(!!!!), I did a little deductive reasoning and figured that maybe by renaming the AMDS folder I could "trick" the download in to completing. I followed this path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support. The problem seemed to be in the Mobile Device Support folder. I simply renamed the Mobile Device Support to Mobile Device Support1234. Lo and behold, the download completed! I got one more error message dealing with a file: genre-science.jpg, but I simply backed out and renamed the folder holding that file (added the number 12 at the end of the folder), and the iTunes download successfully installed. Hope this works for you and others that have had this problem.

Update: It finally downloaded, but now it's already downloaded an extra 4MB over what it's supposed to. Right now in "Downloads" it says "60.7 MB of 56.6 MB"

I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync. Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone. What's up? What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

7.7.1 No longer Available in iTunes Downloads?

Hi.
I have been back more than once to the Downloads/iTunes page (and a few others too) and can not find the download for 7.7.1 anywhere! All I can find is the 7.7 download. I've been looking for over a week now. Am I just not seeing it or has it been pulled? Is it only available thru Software Updates now or not at all? I appreciate your help!

I did see your other post to me. I am really glad that it helped you get your tunes back! I have been fortunate with it as well, even tho I know many haven't been so lucky. I don't know why they are not being more clear about which version it is on the iTunes download page? Kind of confusing and/or misleading unless........ (sorry, can't speculate)
Anyhow... as I told James, I've had the download from day one and got it through systems updates. I have really been wanting to reference it tho, as there are alot of questions about both versions and I really don't want to disseminate bad or inaccurate information to anybody.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

Slow iTunes downloads from Ariport Expess when used as a range extender

I am having trouble with iTunes downloads - especially large files - when my Mac Book is connected to the internet through my Airport Express, which is acting as a range extender. If I take the Mac Book to the area in my house where the Airport Extreme is the wireless source, downloads are no problem. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
Are your AirPort base stations both newer 802.11n units that support the network "extend" option?
The problem may be that the AirPort Express is too far from the AirPort Extreme. It doesn't matter how strong a signal your Mac receives from the Express if the Express receives a weak signal from the Extreme. Ideally the Express should be half way between the Extreme and where you want to use your Mac.
You can use the advice in this thread to investigate the signal and noise levels that the AirPort Express sees:

Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.

Go to the View menu and turn on the Status Bar. If you don't see the menus, go to the small icon with the arrow at the extreme upper left and select "Show Menu Bar":

How long should itunes download take on new computer with windows 7 64 bit ie8?

I bought a new computer and need to sync my iphone with it. I'm getting a msg that it has 17+ hrs left to download itunes......seems too long and wonder what I'm doing wrong. thx.

Problem with itunes update. I am running OSX v 10.4.11 and can't get itunes to update. I had itunes 9.1.1 and when I tried ask it to update it said there was no update. sent old itunes to trash and now apple site itunes download is not working. help...

What operating system are you running? I doubt it's an iPhone OS on a Mac Mini, but if you meant to choose 10.4 then you're out of luck. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ At the bottom of the left hand column on this page, you'll see it requires OS X 10.5 or higher.

Itunes downloaded but won't open on Windows 8

I just purchased a laptop with Windows 8 and Itunes downloaded fine but it won't open. It says "Itunes has stopped working". I have a Sony Vaio and my previous computer was a Sony Vaio so I know it should be working. Any tips or advice on what to try?

If you want to sync your iPhone with a new computer, take a look at this Apple doc -> Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
iTunes will let you sync some stuff from multiple computers, but it'll only let you sync music, videos or apps from one iTunes library.
