ITunes downloads stuck in queue

I Have two movie rentals stuck in the iTunes download queue and they keep giving me error messages, cannot download at this time. a box pops up to click retry or done, retry does nothing. If I click the items to continue downloading it continues giving me the error. The thing is I can't even rerent them, if I go into the store it won't let me download again. How can I either delete them or get them to download? Tried restarting, closing iTunes etc nothing works!

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Downloads stuck in queue. Please help.

I have two podcasts stuck in my download queue. They have never been able to download. I have contacted iTunes support and they have told me that the downloads have been deleted on their end from my iTunes account but they are still stuck on my iPad. Any suggestions on how to delete them from my iPad? Here is a screen shot of my queue.

These "fixes" have worked for other users when I have suggested them, but I saw a very similar post to this one a day or so ago and none of them worked for that user. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained ......
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to download again
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can finish the downloads in iTunes on your computer - launch iTunes and got to Store>Check for available downloads - finish the downloads in iTunes and then sync the iPad.

  • ITunes download stuck in Lion

I can't seem to download the iTunes update in Lion... It's stuck at 58.3 MB of 83.4 MB with a remaining time of "About 10 seconds".
It's been stuck like that for about 20 minutes...

    Nevermind. It's working now.

  • HT1688 itunes download stuck on waiting

Every time I update or download an app from the App Store, a greyed out widget that says "waiting" shows up on my homescreen.  Tapping, double tapping and trying to delete does nothing.  The only way I can get the actual app to show up is to do a hard reset on my 4S, which is getting really annoying.  I have done the following steps
    1.  Reset network settings
    2.  Reset ALL settings and restored from back up
    3.  Signed out of the Store, hard reset, signed back in
I checked iTunes and there is nothing in the downloads section.  I do not use podcasts so it's not that...this all started a couple of days ago when the iTunes store went down.

    - First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next would be to place the iPod in recovery mode. See:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • ITunes Download stuck

    Hi,
So today I bought a TV season and every episode downloaded into my library fine, except for the last episode. It has downloaded every MB (298.9 out of 298.9) but for quite a while now it has been showing only Processing File... I have already restarted iTunes and rebooted, but every time I download the episode, I get the same result.
    Please Help!
    Thanks!

    All working

  • ITunes Download Stuck "Processing"

Does anyone have a suggested fix for a download that's been stuck in "processing" for more than 30 minutes?

    Hey ormana,
First, try force closing the music app:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
from: iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5137
If you reopen the app and the song is still stuck, I would reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
from: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

    Best,

  • My iPad won't download any music.it says download error. I have 100 downloads stuck on my downloads at the bottom of the page on itunes

My iPad won't download any music. It says download error try again. I have 100 downloads stuck on my downloads in iTunes store.

Remove the song in question from the sync list and see if the rectifies the problem.
If it does, then iTunes believes the song no longer exists on your drive and that will need to be corrected.

  • Delete iPad iTunes Downloads queue

I purchased a sit com series on my iPad and then paused the downloads. I have watched the series through Apple TV and do not require downloading them to my iPad now. It's around 7GB in all. How do you clear the iPad iTunes download queue now? Swipe does not work nor is there an option to delete.
I would rather not download the data only to delete again.
I've read similar threads in the forum but none match this exact situation.
    Thanks.

I've ran into that buying a movie. You cannot cancel it. It has to finish downloading then delete it. I tried emailing apple, they told me to do it that way. I also heard they can clear your queue(apple), but that didn't happen to me. Sorry, I looked everywhere as well. I would buy a movie on my iPad to watch on atv and I had to do it that way. I just purchase from tv now and download later on MacBook or iPad if I want it.

  • Itunes movies stuck in download area

I downloaded and watched 2 itunes movies on my iPad. Now they suddenly appear in the iTunes download area with the description "download error tap to try again" I no longer have the movies in my movie viewer, as I saw them and deleted them. Now I can't remove them from my download area. Any ideas on how to remove a "error" download in the download area? It is driving me crazy as it continually tries to download them and has me continuously input my iTunes password.
    I would appreciate any thoughts.

  • Windows 8.1 iTunes download - possible without an IT degree?

I am a complete green horn.  I am absolutely appalled at how how difficult it is to find the information I require on installing iTunes on my Windos 8.1 laptop.  I go to the apple site.  I click on the download icon for iTunes.  But absolutely NOTHING happens.  No error messages no iTunes.  What the **** is going on.  Seems the marketing is better than the reality.  Now I understand why people stand in l  o   n  g queus outside the Apple Store to get the latest gizmo.  That's the only way ... feet on the street.  There is no online chat support , no email support and a virtually useless support site.
So what am I doing that is so complex and unusual.  I am trying to install iTunes on my Windows 8.1 laptop with the express purpose of importing my windows contacts on to my new iphone 5C.
Well, it seems I am the only person in the world that wants to take this bizarre step.  Surely this should be absolutely simple.  The replies to various queries I have seen on this support site are absolutely useless too.
i guess I will have to go and queue in an Apple store too!  Gee whiz!  I actually do have better things to do on a Saturday.
Here is the link I am trying to use - to absolutely no avail.  (ps my browser is Mozilla Firefox 25.0.1)

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use IE instead of Firefox for the download, do you get a working installer?

  • Why do my itunes downloaded movies get suck frequently

Why do my itunes downloaded movies get stuck during streaming when my other accounts, i.e. netflix and amazon prime have no problems?

Is their really no solution to this problem? That would be really disappointing.
I have newly installed iTunes software on a new machine, and the iTunes software is broken from the beginning.
I purchased my music through the iTunes store because I thought it would make my life easier. It is sad to find out that this is not the case.

  • After installing ios6 I now have app downloads stuck in waiting mode. I went to down in App Store but could not find a way to disable them. How can I do this. I never had this problem on ios5. I'm using an iPad 3

Try downloading in iTune (computer) and sync to iPad.

  • Lossless (ALAC) iTunes downloads?

I recently started re-importing my CDs as lossless ALAC files, which are both much bigger and sound much clearer than the default 256 kbps compressed files. Is there a way to change the iTunes store setting so if I purchase music it downloads lossless? Or am I stuck with 256k or going old-school and buying a whole CD when I only want one song? Thanks!

As a music lover myself I know what you mean regarding lossless. Listening to a friends iTunes download I realised that he had cloth ears as I could clearly hear the lack of clarity and poor, muddy detail. Consequently I never purchase music downloads from iTunes. I buy CDs and rip them myself using lossless settings. Apple have always had a thing about thinking that if it was good enough for them it was good enough for everyone. There is also the question of file size and time taken to download these files. Neither of which I give a stuff about. It seems to me apple want to make sure they dont lose the cloth eared fraternity who seem able to listen to anything even a tinny mobile playing distorted music at its maximum volume through its tiny little speaker. Apple would rather lose revenue from the discerning listeners than the majority of people who are happy with audio quality which is nowhere near CD quality.
